  1. I want to get me a license and a nice 9.3x62 Mauser, but I need to save up alot of money for that to happen. Out of curiosity I checked how much it would cost to buy a box of 20 8x57 here, going by average price and not quality; 680SEK, or roughly 70€. So 65% less makes for one hell of a saving. Whoa holy hell, I thought ammo prices around here were bad but thats a whole 'nother level! Why is ammunition so expensive ''over there''? Are you sure you didn't get your hands on the most super-premium platinum-gold magical fairy dust hunting ammo? Around here premium quality medium caliber rifle ammo (match or hunting) costs about € 2-3 per round, training ammunition is a little bit over € 1 per cartridge. With handloading I can half the costs even with the most expensive components and can go much lower with standard components. With € 2 / round I'd be burning 100 bucks per week (50 rounds / session) which would definitely make me reconsider my hobby. I get my components from Germany, if you can import them from there (minus the powder and primers of course, which you'd have to by locally because explosives) you can save a TON of money! Check your local laws but I'm very sure projectiles and brass are not regulated by any laws. Also why a 9.3x62? Its a fine cartridge for sure but really suited for hunting large game. 8x57, 7.26x51 etc. are more suited for range sessions, components are more readily available, there is much better and less expensive match bullets available for them, they burn less powder and have more than enough power for reaching out 800 meters or more and hunting the largest local game. If 9.3x62 is what your heart desires go for it but its definitely not an ideal option for a starting gun by any means. No, no, that magical fairy dust ammo costs around 5000SEK I'm not sure why it's so expensive here, but I would'nt be suprised to learn that they government have taxed weapons and ammunition as much as they could dare. Swedens government has wanted to ban just about all rifles lately, so why not tax them out of use instead? There is training ammunition, costs around 580SEK for 50 rounds, but any hunting quality ammo lands around 700SEK/20. 680SEK gets you 20 Norma 8gr FMJ. I don't have enough knowledge about handloading to make a fair estimate of the costs, but after work tonight I can have a look on that site to see where it lands if you handload. It's probably not impossible to import some casings and such from Germany Well, I do want to hunt with the rifle, and the rifle I've enjoyed shooting the most was a 9.3. Might've been just that specific rifle that was awesome ofcourse, but I have a preference for it. I would'nt say no to a normal 6.5 Swedish either I did notice though that it seems possible to buy .50 BMG rifles for hunting in Sweden. Did'nt think that was possible XD

  3. Not exactly today, but still; Bought this Turns out though, that I did'nt need any of those parts, since it was another component that had failed, the main clutch pump. I've managed to get it "working" but there seems to be an infinite amount of air in it. So some part must be broken since I keep getting air in there. Glad to hear you got away ok Hurl

  5. It's a dry clutch, I would'nt know what a wet clutch looks like. I don't think they make cars with wet clutches, but I'm just guessing here.
  6. Car broke down today, just a few hundred metres from work the clutch gave up. Managed to roll into the parking lot atleast. Annoying as hell, going to have to be without car for a few days while I repair it. Too many things that might've given in though, but I think it's either the clutchrod or the throwout bearing (I'm not 100% on the technical terms here). Any way, I'm going to change it all out for better parts while I can.
  7. You're probably right, I'm not to keen on going to the dentists here though, their prices are insane. They're a bloody cartell, I tell you. It might be worth it though, because I've damaged another tooth. Then again, I could use a pair of those for those times at work when I really want to bite someones head off
  8. Sounds like a solid plan, I've been thinking about getting one for nighttime use. I noticed I'vebeen grinding my teeth alot since I got "promoted".
  9. Giants, Descent, Messiah, Kingpin... so many games I loved.
  10. *Fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfap*
  11. I "only" work an average of 32 hours a week, though they've decided to move about the hours a bit, so one week you have 8 hour workdays and the other you have 6 hour days, I've got an 8 hour week now. Wich is really bad timing. You do get used to it though, and I love feeling knackered after a good days work. I think I'd go insane having a studio job to be honest, I'd feel restless after a while. I would'nt mind getting a decent wage though wich is severely lacking at my workplace. Though it is 'a' wage. j
  12. Been at my workplace for 11 months, spent 99% of that time doing alot of lifting, carrying, pushing and whatever else you can think of that puts strain on my back. Not had any real problems with it. Spent one weekend on a sofa bed... please kill me. Can't even sit straight, and I've got a 4 more "long" days to go... painzzz.
  13. I should'nt have gotten my hopes up, if it'd been a game, it would've been in the games section. Still, quite impressive! I like what I see, and I'll watch it when it comes out. I've got this weird between exited and dissapointed feeling because of the reason above
  14. I'm very sorry TrueNeutral =( So, today, I went to work, found out that I was supposed to be an area supervisor for the day, something I've clearly told my bosses I'm unsuited for. Stressed as **** over it, but it went fine anyway thankfully. It's probably going to happen again tomorrow despite my wishes not to. Sigh. Anyway, went home, watched a documentary about the music industry and wanted to listen to Eric Clapton unplugged. Ended up finding a band I've heard before, but not known the name of, Blues Saraceno. Love 'em.
  15. ****. I'm going to watch Blazing Saddles and make a donation to an Alzheimers disease research fund. ****. Some damn ninjas cutting onions around here.
  16. Wooldan! Welcome back
  17. I got some Citodon from my father when I pulled my back so that I could basically do anything on my own, was pretty high dosage pils that he got for his hernia. It did help a bit with the pain, but it felt nothing more to me than an ordinary pain med would do. I felt a bit woozy from them, but that was about it.
  18. Carte d'or FTW. Mmm... crema di mascarpone... *Drool*
  19. Hah, Anita Sarkeesian is still a thing? Saw an interview in a swedish newspaper she did, could'nt be arsed to read it to the end though. that's about what I've done so far today, waiting for work to start, way too tired to play anything.
  20. None of which would've prevented anything. These are just ideas to harass law abiding people. Still valid.
  21. Have'nt killed myself in traffic yet! I've been working as usual and counting the days until the weekend, when I'm finally going to meet up with my friends. I've been doing basically nothing but studying for my tests for the past months, so it's about time now. I've also finally been able to relax a bit now that the pressure is off, wich has allowed me to actually feel a bit under the weather. It might also be that on Wednesday I met up with some friends and went to the "international food market" in town. Ate some zebra burger and had a taste of kangaroo and camel aswell. Finished it off with some polish hunters stew. Might have picked up something there, but none of my friends (That ate from my food and vice versa) felt bad so it might just be imagination or too little sleep. Going to go there tomorrow again if they're still around, thinking about trying some greek food or something else, spanish or french maybe. Was quite alot to choose from. Good week! :D
  22. Got my drivers licence! **** YEAH!!!
  23. Passed my theory test, got 96% correct. Feels good, just need to pass the practical test now and I've got that licence
  24. A WH40K Dark Heresy RPG, third person with player/character separation, JA2 like combat mechanics and well developed dialogue trees and C&C. Also, I would'nt mind a Rogue Trader like game with similar touches, but ofcourse more about expanding your power, influence and revenue. I love the thought of 3D based space combat in those huge vessels. A sequel to the Stalker games, Alpha Protocol 2.
  25. I've got drivers theory test tomorrow morning. It's warm. The online test centre won't let me do any more tests because of snafu. I'm really sweaty, tired, sweaty and stressed. I really want to study some more, ffs. I really don't need this today.
