  1. ****, that sucks. I doubt they can get as much at an auction yard as you could get selling the spares. Do you have to get such an expensive car though? Would'nt it be better to get some sort of "beater" or similar that you can get to get from point a to b? Maybe for a few hundred dollars or so? What was it that you did for a living at the moment?
  2. Sorry to hear that man :/ What is going to happen with the wreck? Have they taken possession of it, or would you be able to sell spare parts from it? I wish you were in Sweden, then I could've lent you a car.
  3. Blodwyn is pretty wicked, love that one. I've met a Helfrid once, awesome girl. She was metal as f***! lml
  4. I would love to know what camber, caster angle and toe in that vehicle has on both sides. I'm pretty certain there is a massive difference. Not to mention that the frame is weakened... Stuff like that can be dangerous unless you get set up properly afterwards.
  5. Haha! my bad, I had quoted your joke and tried to add in my own, I must've deleted it and snafud it. I'm glad to hear that you're ok, physically if nothing else. Wish I could help you some way though. --- Had another day with forced overtime. Funny how much it can **** you up over two days just working one hour extra on a five and a half hour work day. I was completely knackered and was crazy hungry. Wich is a problem, since one of the people that I drive to work lives next to a Max burger shop, wich meant that when I dropped him off I couldn't stop myself from buying a burger. Goddamn, that chilicheese. *_*
  6. Yeah, it's a pretty big part The forces involved, even in low speed crashes, are pretty massive. And even if you do something such as lift your car in the wrong place with a jack you can bend the chassis badly.
  7. You were'nt injured in any way I hope? What happened, if I may be so rude as to poke my nose where it doesn't belong? No, that's going to be alot of work, the chassis is going to be bent and straightening that out is going to be a nightmare. Not to mention that you're going to have to change just about every part in the engine bay. That front has been pushed in atleast 30-40cm's it looks like. Would've been doable on an old car that does'nt have a monocoque construction with advanced crumple zones.
  8. Well, then you get worse fuel efficiency. And turbos are not prone to break unless you drive like a madman. I've got a Low Pressure Turbo on my Volvo 940 that's done 350000km's with just regular service, it's not broken down in the past 18 years, and I don't expect it to break in the coming years either when I up the pressure from 0.3 to .8 bar. (From 135Hp to 200+Hp and 230Nm to 300+Nm) Are you certain that you need a SUV for your offroading, there are some normal cars that can handle light offroad tracks very well. Some better than SUV's. If you want any offroading capabilities to speak of,it's a Land Rover or similar that you want.
  9. Well, it would be nice being a Rogue Trader or similar... As long as you're not a normal person it would be nice.
  10. Unless you have qualms about murdering people, the Great Ghost Dance was pretty vicious stuff. And I really, really, really don't want to be turned to a troll. Or Orc. Owwww. Then again, I'd prefer Shadowrun to say Cyberpunk 2020... Played DnD today and yesterday, the campaign Out of the Abyss. The GM's girlfriend has put Hoard of the Dragonqueen on hold, and I've got to take vacation from my job to get my own campaign going again. Got a tonne of things to write and jig and match up.
  11. I was'nt around the BIS boards at all, I was at NMA and the Codex before I ended up here, shortly after Alpha Protocol was released. Been discussing games across many different fora since around 99.
  12. I don't blame you, I dont like it either. Your friends are not wrong. I've been told though that things have improved since the past, wich scares me.. It's backbreaking and repetetive, and many other things, for very little pay. The 5th of October I've been working there one year, and I still have the exact same wage as when I started. But now I actually know what the hell I'm doing and have a semi "manager" position. I did get more contractual hours though, but that's not been an issue before, I've worked close to the same hours any way, I just have it enforced now instead of working extra.

  14. I want to get me a license and a nice 9.3x62 Mauser, but I need to save up alot of money for that to happen. Out of curiosity I checked how much it would cost to buy a box of 20 8x57 here, going by average price and not quality; 680SEK, or roughly 70€. So 65% less makes for one hell of a saving. Whoa holy hell, I thought ammo prices around here were bad but thats a whole 'nother level! Why is ammunition so expensive ''over there''? Are you sure you didn't get your hands on the most super-premium platinum-gold magical fairy dust hunting ammo? Around here premium quality medium caliber rifle ammo (match or hunting) costs about € 2-3 per round, training ammunition is a little bit over € 1 per cartridge. With handloading I can half the costs even with the most expensive components and can go much lower with standard components. With € 2 / round I'd be burning 100 bucks per week (50 rounds / session) which would definitely make me reconsider my hobby. I get my components from Germany, if you can import them from there (minus the powder and primers of course, which you'd have to by locally because explosives) you can save a TON of money! Check your local laws but I'm very sure projectiles and brass are not regulated by any laws. Also why a 9.3x62? Its a fine cartridge for sure but really suited for hunting large game. 8x57, 7.26x51 etc. are more suited for range sessions, components are more readily available, there is much better and less expensive match bullets available for them, they burn less powder and have more than enough power for reaching out 800 meters or more and hunting the largest local game. If 9.3x62 is what your heart desires go for it but its definitely not an ideal option for a starting gun by any means. No, no, that magical fairy dust ammo costs around 5000SEK I'm not sure why it's so expensive here, but I would'nt be suprised to learn that they government have taxed weapons and ammunition as much as they could dare. Swedens government has wanted to ban just about all rifles lately, so why not tax them out of use instead? There is training ammunition, costs around 580SEK for 50 rounds, but any hunting quality ammo lands around 700SEK/20. 680SEK gets you 20 Norma 8gr FMJ. I don't have enough knowledge about handloading to make a fair estimate of the costs, but after work tonight I can have a look on that site to see where it lands if you handload. It's probably not impossible to import some casings and such from Germany Well, I do want to hunt with the rifle, and the rifle I've enjoyed shooting the most was a 9.3. Might've been just that specific rifle that was awesome ofcourse, but I have a preference for it. I would'nt say no to a normal 6.5 Swedish either I did notice though that it seems possible to buy .50 BMG rifles for hunting in Sweden. Did'nt think that was possible XD

  16. Not exactly today, but still; Bought this Turns out though, that I did'nt need any of those parts, since it was another component that had failed, the main clutch pump. I've managed to get it "working" but there seems to be an infinite amount of air in it. So some part must be broken since I keep getting air in there. Glad to hear you got away ok Hurl

  18. It's a dry clutch, I would'nt know what a wet clutch looks like. I don't think they make cars with wet clutches, but I'm just guessing here.
  19. Car broke down today, just a few hundred metres from work the clutch gave up. Managed to roll into the parking lot atleast. Annoying as hell, going to have to be without car for a few days while I repair it. Too many things that might've given in though, but I think it's either the clutchrod or the throwout bearing (I'm not 100% on the technical terms here). Any way, I'm going to change it all out for better parts while I can.
  20. You're probably right, I'm not to keen on going to the dentists here though, their prices are insane. They're a bloody cartell, I tell you. It might be worth it though, because I've damaged another tooth. Then again, I could use a pair of those for those times at work when I really want to bite someones head off
  21. Sounds like a solid plan, I've been thinking about getting one for nighttime use. I noticed I'vebeen grinding my teeth alot since I got "promoted".
  22. Giants, Descent, Messiah, Kingpin... so many games I loved.
  23. *Fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfap*
  24. I "only" work an average of 32 hours a week, though they've decided to move about the hours a bit, so one week you have 8 hour workdays and the other you have 6 hour days, I've got an 8 hour week now. Wich is really bad timing. You do get used to it though, and I love feeling knackered after a good days work. I think I'd go insane having a studio job to be honest, I'd feel restless after a while. I would'nt mind getting a decent wage though wich is severely lacking at my workplace. Though it is 'a' wage. j
  25. Been at my workplace for 11 months, spent 99% of that time doing alot of lifting, carrying, pushing and whatever else you can think of that puts strain on my back. Not had any real problems with it. Spent one weekend on a sofa bed... please kill me. Can't even sit straight, and I've got a 4 more "long" days to go... painzzz.
