Character reveal trailer
Its an artistic choice. Its meant to be over the top. Ninja Gaiden, DMC and others were named as insperation. Also. Just to say. One of the worst objectifications of women last year (and probably in the history of games) was most of the time pretty normal dressed. Madison Paige Madison Paige = Disco Scene (Just disturbing. No women would act that way or take the situation so casually except if it was plausible in her personality. Which isn't true to her. = Sex Scene (After she meets her partner like 3 times in person and on every occassion bandages him up. And she doesn't even know where they are from. Not to mention if the player engages, they have sex while the son drowns. Classy) On the other hand. The most over the top scandily dressed charachter last year (Bayonetta) was actually pretty well handled. Stood on her own during the game and dealt with issues on her own. Even with some charachter development. Not to mention the games love interest wasn't boytoy Supersoldier #9000 but still capable to handle his own in the game. Come to think of it. For a Japanese over-the-top action game Bayonetta did several things right with charachters that other games still fail at. So really: If the style fits the charachters personality in some way I don't really care how scandily a charachter is dressed or if there are jiggely physics. I usually take more issues the handling of the charachter itself. Mind you if the game was going for a more realistic artstyle I had more issues with it.

Will there be difficult settings?
Yes, several times. There are at least a "Hardcore" and a "Casual" difficulty setting.

New Vegas seems to have won quite a bit of people over as Obsidian has made it into the quarter finals of this years March Mayhem on the escapist. A developer popularity competition. Misread his question. Nevermind. Also, I'm pretty sure the first game started in the farmlands.

DSIII at PAX East 2011
Which charachter's your favourite, Alvin?

DSIII at PAX East 2011
I like Lucas more than Anjali from the Voice Acting. I don't know it just really fits the lines. Edit: Or do you mean how their personality sounds? I don't know. Lucas sounds very involved in the plot and he could be a rather standard but very well written charachter.

F:NV creative lead John Gonzalez leaving Obsidian
Mostly his background :face scarred but not in game, either a great tribal warrior or a Legionnaire from 12, the way Caesar describes it and the way he talks don't seem to match perfectly.. you could reconcile all of this, no doubt, but the presentation felt a bit jarring. I admit though, I probably overreacted by defining him as "terribly" inconsistent. I'm actually wondering if Cesars side of the story is a 100% true. Maybe we'll hear more of it when the burning man comes around.

How was the Legate inconsistent? He came across great to me and in tune with a sociopathic milateristic charachter. I'm pretty sure he has written the initial script/main storyline. He also has written Mr. House, Benny, Victor, Cesar.

Mass Effect 3
I can't agree. KOTOR diverges from Star Wars on so many points that the only thing that seems to connect them are laser swords and a few visual cues. I have to disagree on that too. In fact my main problem with the original KOTOR is how many movie/Star Wars universe plotpoints it recycles.

Well, not exactly. Avellone was on DA1 and Champions as a designer and Black Isle did DA2. Were there others on DA1? Edit: Nope, just Avellone.

Mass Effect 3
Basic Star Wars lore. The Force flows through every living being, connects all life. It is not an independent entity, as Kreia believed to be. That still doesn't make it an necessity to live. Also thats not exactly Kreias belief. More specific, please?

Mass Effect 3
<< ... Just for the sake of arguing. How do you figure that the death of the force equals the death of all life?

Mass Effect 3
Give credit where credit it's due. Storywise: Kotor2>Kotor NWN MoB>>>>NWN That's a pretty unfair comparison. If you want to compare NWN to NWN 2, or the NWN expansions to one another, that's another thing. But comparing a base game to an expansion is a bit of a reach. Well, the result wouldn't change. Also ITT people arguing with Volourn over Bioware vs Obsidian.

No, there are dozens of ways to dispose of documents very fast. Eating is one of them. This is not even some obscure tactic. During wars, especially for messenger/scouts this was/is common practice. I don't really see whats so weird about it. About the hound. Well, yes. If we are only speaking about the british mastiff. Do we exclude crossbreads for example? Also, its a fantasy world. So, its pretty excusable.- Offical Website updates/expanded
So he's writing this stuff down so that in case he gets caught his friends will also be executed? Also, are mastiffs hounds, or are those different hounds that are baying? Its his journal. I'd think he would burn or at least dispose of it if he gets found. Also considering he clearly refers to his pursuers in context when he speaks about the hounds. Yes, the massif are the hounds.- Offical Website updates/expanded

*Facepalm* This reads like IGN is interviewing themselves. Which they probably do..... *Double Facepalm* The questions aren't any better since to answer them they would require knowdlegde that the IGN guys do not have at this point. Like: Whats the craziest thing in the game? or how they answer to the question "How many loots will I collect". Hey guys, like 15 minutes of research or so and you wouldn't just have a rough number but even know that many of them are randomly generated from archetypes with several uniques. But hey,.... "Research".... Thats too much to ask from gaming journalism.- GameBanshee preview and interview
In fact I'm sure it won't be like this. Akso did we suddenly somehow establish that there is no endgame, Level 30 is easy to reach and standard co-op is the only multiplayer modus? No endgame? I think the level 30 or whatever has been implied. One play through per character and 'game over man'. Standard Co-Op is the only multiplayer mode mentioned. Hopefully there's more but there's been no hint as yet. Exactly. We have NO information regarding it. We have NO information how it exactly works in the end. We know there is co-op and there are seperate charachters for online play. We know nothing else. Not how the lobby works, not what the multiplayer consists of. Also Level 30? Yes. Easy to reach in one playthrough? No information. I highly doubt it. At least not without grinding. - RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
