  1. The difficulty does continue to ramp up (when you get a few of those mothership types coming in). But the game tends to crash once I get past wave 40 though (i have gotten to wave 42 and 45, and then FF crashed).
  2. And you're in it just for the intellectual stimulation?
  3. Ah, so what I am reading here you made a decision based on what you thought was best at the time, and the road you've gone down turned out to be less awesome than you had figured, so you feel you made the bad choice?
  4. I haven't picked up any of the DLC for ME2. Is it actually an inventory, or just additional guns you can swap out (which did exist in ME2).
  5. Sorry dude, but in my case, it wasn't like that. I blame myself for who I was, I wish I was me now - then. In which case, she wouldn't have got away. But for the most part I like your sentiment. Who you are now is the sum of all of who you were in the past. You being who you are now is a result of who you were back then with her.
  6. I'm currently in 5th place (16 games into the season play) and sitting in 5th place of Blue Bet South. 3 points out of first! Also made it to 1st round of the FA Cup (lost to Oxford, a team from npower 2) and just qualified for 1st round of FA Trophy. I have a game against a Blue South Premier team for that one. Will be a good test for sure. Having a blast so far.
  7. I started off a game with Boreham Wood :D It's a good thing I don't know anything about who is good in soccer (or soccer in general) so it doesn't matter if I start off with Chelsea or a Blue Bet South team
  8. How many references to the past life were in New Vegas? I liked New Vegas more than FO3, but apparently not for any of the backstory parts (I in part came to check out this thread because I was looking forward to some raging about the guy liking FO3's story structure more than FONV hahaha)
  9. It makes it irrelevant. Or at least it should. You guys are the ones sounding like Volo. Seriously look at yourselves. A whole ton of bitching and whining about something I figured you wouldn't even care about. God forbid it be something you DID care about. I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. I guess you do care about it. God forbid the entire title not cater entirely to the whims of Oblarg. I'm sure I'll regret asking this, but if it's not something you care for, then why do you actually seem to care? It's something trivial and probably not even that difficult to add. Or is it just because it's not something you wanted?
  10. It's gimmicky and stupid. Would it make you happier if it just wasn't there? Because if it's gimmicky and stupid, it's easy to not use.
  11. I know many that would be all over it then! XD I think the idea for this stuff is just little gestures to encourage those not sure if they want to buy, or just to create some buzz.
  12. I think I missed one though. You did.
  13. My big issue is mostly with positioning and stuff. Making sure I train guys to be skilled in the right areas and so forth. But yeah, I'll probably sit down and play with the demo some time in the next few days.
  14. As long as you, the customer, come away feeling satisfied with the experience, does it really matter? I'd much rather play a 20 hour game that is 20 hours of fun than a 60 hour game that is 15 hours of fun.
  15. I was considering picking this up. I have downloaded the demo. The only thing holding me back is my complete lack of soccer knowledge haha. Despite that, I still love being a sports manager. Have you by any chance found any newb guides that will help for soccer newbs too? The idea of bringing a poor team up from the lower leagues just sounds tooooo appealing haha.

I'm sure your comment is nothing at all like tossing some gasoline on the fire...

Your post seemed somewhat random without any context. I was assuming you'd have some sort of reason to suddenly bring it up.
  18. So you're letting Volourn get you riled up then? Because there's plenty of examples of Volourn supporting businesses (even those not named BioWare) for the business first decisions that they make.
  19. I do think it will make people consider getting the game to get bonus stuff. I think it also serves well to advertise both games. Not every marketing tool is going to be equally effective across the entire demographic. Considering the offer has an expiry date, I suspect you aren't actually a part of the demographic since you certainly don't indicate any interest in picking up DA2 while it's still expensive.
  20. I'm a potential customer, if the marketing strategies are not directed towards potential buyers then I don't see the point of it. This is just an absurd statement. Not all marketing is going to be ideally directed to every potential consumer perfectly. Because it hasn't been successful specifically to you, does not mean it's an effective campaign. Unless you're seriously arguing that every other RPG advertisement ever made was perfectly targeted to you. Believe it or not, there ARE people in DA2's target demography that, in fact, like both franchises. It's also an easy cross promotion since both games are made by the same publisher You're not one of them in this case. You're not the target demographic of this particular promotion. Stuff like this happens all the time. Given you've already stated you aren't interested in getting the game outside of the bargain bin (weren't you also the person that said "May God of mercy on your soul BioWare, because I won't" after seeing some screens/videos), I'm not entirely convinced that you were in any way seriously considering a preorder of this game.
  21. Eh... if the bonuses were written in such a way that it only went to people that remained with the company rather than as a reward for their hard work, then it does little to endear me to Activision and makes me hope they lose out simply out of spite. Because actions like this are a huge problem with the industry as far as I'm concerned. Especially considering the employees are likely going to be removed from the negotiations of such a thing. Kind of like a boss that hopes you quit so that he doesn't have to pay you severance.
