Biological plausibility is meaningless when you don't qualify the statement in any way. But if you're nigh immortal it's irrelevant. HAHA "ThorNton" XD XD. In any case, I rarely do in games. Either I've just gotten so used to them, or for whatever reason I just notice the face.

Adagio for Strings is powerful in Platoon as well.
-
I like NV more as a game, but pretty much agree spot on with WDeranged for the atmosphere. I loved exploring the blown out wastes of DC.

I'm not sure what biological plausibility has to do with a fantasy game (ignoring why you would even draw such a conclusion). The shorter you live though, the greater the probability that a significant portion of your population is children. Both because you've less people living long enough to keep being considered an adult, and it's often an economical situation. The poorest countries with shortest life expectancy are the ones with booming populations, not the rich West. The funny thing for me: I didn't even notice the boobs until people pointed them out haha. Well, DA2 seems to be their most successful game to date. I think the idea of just making a DA2 without any significant changes to DAO's game engine and assets would have been an easy solution to ensuring continued success. You can be upset that they are dumbing the game down and whatnot, but intrinsically there is risk simply because they made changes from DAO that many on this very board would argue weren't necessary.

Hundreds of years old or not, that is a lolita. So you feel she is sexually attractive then!!
-
The info linked is literally just that picture of her in passing with a slew of other info.
-
Yeah I could see some Aerie in her. Though hopefully with less whinging haha.

She's an elf. Probably hundreds of years old!

I am finding the combat in The Witcher a bit odd. I was hoping for more since I heard there were elements of player skill involved. They really should have started you off with extra combo moves to start the game off though. I thought I was doing it wrong because I kept redoing the same attack.

Navy Field was pure arcade, but basically was just a top down view of a water area with two teams that had WW2 naval vessels that went at it. You got money (for better ships/guns) and xp (to let your crew use those ships and guns) and so forth haha.

d20 single player KotOR 3
Thorton_AP replied to DarthCovenant's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes I know. I said that it was canceled by the in house Lucas team. KOTOR 3 wasn't in development by BioWare. Most people don't post on internet forums in general. -

alanschu works for BioWare. I think your point would have a bit more merit if BioWare was involved in making both of the games. From what I know, BioWare was happy with just the single KOTOR game. There's a lot of people looking forward to TOR as well (myself included). The TOR forums blast along at a high rate, and it's not made up mostly of people bitching about the game. Internet polls are unreliable at best, and I'm skeptical that your sample size is representative. The reality of the situation is most likely that the clear majority of KOTOR fans are indifferent, and have long since carried on with their lives. The thing I don't like is that people see it as TOR instead of KOTOR 3. If you don't want to play TOR, that's fine, but KOTOR 3 was never in the works by BioWare (and was long canceled by the in house Lucas team). -
Is World of Tank kind of like a 3D Navy Field with tanks? haha

Which invisible barrier are you referring to? I know there are some in NV, but they hardly seem to be the kind that "prevent you from being distracted from the main story"
-
I know that. Yet the article states this can happen. In other words, they are talking about royalties off of profits of the game, since we can both agree no one is going to work for free. Hence why I said it was a little misleading.
-
The way I understood it, and based on the language used throughout the article, they are not counting the money contracted out to developers. Only the royalties. There's no other way the developers could get "nothing," which the article outright states is possible throughout.
-
pathetic Not quite sure what you mean by "pathetic." I've been a digital purchaser of games for a loooong time now, and advocate using services like Steam, GamersGate, and Impulse for quite some time now.
-
whadda ya mean? they say the developers gets advances for each milestone, that's the 10% of the box's cost, deducted. The article frequently refers to the developers "getting nothing" if they don't sell enough to recoup the costs of the game. The 10% that they refer to looks to be based upon the royalties from profits of the game. The devs still get paid during the development of the game, even if the game ends up tanking. No one is going to work like that for free. Another example (emphasis mine): "If a game is created in-house, the publisher need not pay a developer at all
-
It's a little misleading because they aren't including the amount that the publisher gives the developer to develop the actual game (they concede this point actually).
-
I wonder if this will lead to a Streisand effect for the mod haha.
-
I'm surprised they had classes to be honest.
-
Ah I can see that. Sort of similar to how King Arthur: THe Roleplaying Game probably did some stuff.
-
Hmmm, text adventure with screen interface? What do you mean? Is there a screenshot example? Like I say my interest only piqued a few hours ago

Any MW2 talk must contain

I think the branching and replayability is one of the main design goals they are aiming for, and judging from various previews and stuff there appears to be quite a number of ways to accomplish things depending on how you play. I believe they've said it will be a fairly short game (comparable to Fallout) but very replayable. It should be noted that the game seems very based in the "text-adventure" style, which might turn some people off. I played PST, so I can tolerate text if the game gives me a reason to. I don't mind a shorter game. I think for a game with multiple paths it's probably better actually. There were things I wanted to do different in DAO and FONV, but the games were so long I always found myself losing steam.
