  1. BioWare needs to just stop doing this crap.
  2. Indeed. I am buying the DRM free version at GOG, to let the publisher know I hate DRM with my Purchase. Maybe someday they will get it...
  3. That's not really BioWare's decision.
  4. http://www.neoseeker.com/news/16439-all-wi...c-will-be-free/
  5. If only.... * uncontrollable sobbing*
  6. The TF2 item thing is just out of control.
  7. OK! Thank you! That's all I needed to know. And yeah, there is no guarantee it will work, I just hope they left all the original files in, so It should work. *crosses fingers*
  8. There should be a separate install file in each games directory (I assume), but I am specifically wanting to check that only the 2 games ally X-COM: UFO Defense and/or X-COM: Terror From the Deep and each of their install files *should* have a MT-32/LAPC-1 option. When running the INSTALL.EXE you may also need to select a sound card FIRST (Such as Soundblaster for digitized sounds) then possibly an option comes up to select a music card *hopefully*....
  9. http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dragonsphere Dragonsphere FREE on GOG - Adventure Game
  10. Nightshape can you try just the install program for X-COM: UFO Defense and X-COM: Terror From the Deep? Those are the only 2 games that had MT-32 support. The others do not sadly.
  11. I do... Why? oooh! My understanding is that both UFO Defense and Terror From the Deep are both played in DOSBox. What I am wondering is, if they still include all the original files, and if so, there should be something like the install program INSTALL.EXE or something like that that lists what type of sound or music card you own and can select what one you have. Similar to Ultima VII: The Black Gate: Basically what I want to know is if there is a Roland MT-32 and/or LAPC-1 option to change the music for both games (in this Steam version). I physically own 2 MT-32's (Old Style and New Style) and have slowly been making recordings of some of these classic games that have MT-32 music and would love to add these 2 games music to my YouTube channel. If you could check for me I would greatly appreciate it!!!
  12. Since no one on the Steam forums will answer my question, do by chance any of you here own the X-COM: Complete Pack, or more specifically X-COM: UFO Defense and/or X-COM: Terror From the Deep from the Steam version?
  13. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-...r-larger-market I will no longer be pre-ordering ME3. I now have lost all interest. WHY ARE YOU RUINING BIOWARE EA!!! STOP!
  14. People do understand that the Dragon Age and the Mass Effect Teams are completely different right..? Just FYI.
  15. Final Fantasy VIII was a vastly better game than VII ever was. Just FYI. Right Volo?
  16. I also have been using Win 7 for a year (?). DOSBox, Exult, Pentagram, as well as VMWare Player (I have a Win 98 VM for the old Magic The Gathering <3) work just fine on Win 7 (as well as every game on STEAM and GOG so far). And the new fan made wrappers (for Fallout/Fallout 2) as well as some of the new custom DirectX.dll's for Deus Ex and System Shock 2 have worked fabulous. I finally played Unreal for the fist time in my life, in Win 7 (with that new DirectX.dll). What a fun game.
  17. It's not BioWare's call to make/not make a KotOR III, that is Lucas Arts.
  18. Does Portal 2 have any of those "twitch" like puzzle elements? As in that one $#@!&^$% Level in the first one where you had to quickly open a portal in this one spot then open another in under 10 trillion milliseconds or you could not get past it. That's when I un-installed. Had a blast up to that point. Yes I'm bitter.
  19. Correct. It is not some lone modders attempt at "re-balancing". The function to do random spawns exactly like BG1 is completely gone from the BG II engine, so they have to kind of do a hack like solution. Same with Korax (near the Basilisks) he no longer can talk to you any more because charmed creatures can no longer speak and that is HARD CODED into the BG II engine (they way he worked in BG was that he had a charm spell on him, but the spell was not visible to the player, but would still say things to you). Korax hungry...... VERY hungry...
  20. Weird. It should take you to the last area you are in. Unless they do something to the save file? Also are you using the Widescreen Mod and the Widescreen GUI mod for vanilla BG? They really look nice and it's much nicer to play in. And If you happen to be using both those mods, and happen to be using 1024 x 768 with it I made some fancy shmancy new GUI screens for it. But again. so far, it is ONLY for a 1024 x 768 resolution with the widescreen mod and GUI mod.
  21. 5:4 Thank you!
  22. I don't understand this whole 16:9 4:5 ratio crap. I only know I have a NON Widescreen LCD Monitor (native resolution is 1280 x 1024). What ratio is my monitor?
  23. Yeah you can pre-download the game (if you pre-order) on GOG on May 10th. Then just dl the small remaining bits on the 11th. And their no DRM policy is awesome. It's the only reason I bought (and I still own the original) IWD, because the original CD's have the horrifying Stardock DRM D:
  24. That is awesome. Good job Square Enix. Restored my faith in this somewhat....
  25. Not at all. Bloodlines was a delicious feast from start to finish (after the final Official patches). It still today is one of the best cRPG experience upon equal level as Mask of the Betrayer. No scratching at the surface required.
