Sleeping Dogs was good for the atmosphere of the setting and the story. The martial arts combat was also entertaining, but the rest of the mechanics and game play tended to be so so. Good fun, and one that would be interesting to see a sequel to. GTA had fun elements up to a point. I have to admit I reached a point in GTAIV where I couldn't push myself forward. I stopped playing it for about a year and when I wen tback.. yeah, just couldn't find the will to push ahead anymore. Something about it just wasn't engaging or fun to me. Saints Row (2 & 3).. juvenile crazy. But really quite entertaining if you can get into that mindset. Take none of it seriously and just have a blast.

I never had any problems playing Saints Row 2 on pc, had a lot of fun with it in general.

Oh no Anita Blake has a mixed group that builds up over time, but its ALL about the protagonist and goes a wee bit more porn like at various stages of the series. It's got its guilty pleasure aspect of supernatural urban fantasy / murder aspects and some entertaining characters, but I would never characterise it as a pure group thing. I think the trouble with looking for a book series is that publishers like a defined Protagonist. They might be involved in a group, but they nearly always have to be that solo figure doing the majority of the angst and involved in the storyline. Hm, in a sense the Honor Harrington series evolves into group efforts , as the characters that started out as crewmembers under a central protagonist evolve and reach their own positions of command within the Royal Manticoran Navy. So stories start developing with multiple points of view and actions happening across a galaxy as they try to deal with various threats to their "country". I think if you're looking at books rather then comics, you're more likely to find series that might have a strong protagonist role who just happens to have a supporting group of characters around them. WIth the occasional spin off story that follows one of those supporting characters. I think there are a few Urban Fantasy series that do that, although a fair few mix in elements of romance so ...

I have to admit, it's always kind of nice to see new content and a potential new companion.. but I'm still having a wtf over there being an Ewok companion. They're going to have to come up with one hell of a good story reason to make any potential scrap of sense. I mean, 5000 years before they were a primitive tribal society using basic wood & stone tools, there's an ewok capable of handling blasters and star wars sci-fi equipment roaming the stars? I can understand the theory that if you were able to go back 5,000 years to some early Egyptian and grabbed him, you could potentially educate him in modern tech because it's not like he's stupid. But if you went to the people 5,000 years before the stone age, it would be a touch more complicated...

Sorting out a bunch of the things needed for switching broadband, tv, phone etc to Virgin Media. Running through the differences in terms & conditions and wotnot.. Man, it's unusually warm here for the coast. Well, the suns out, it's hot, and there's bugger all breeze which there normally is. We might get this sort of heat, but there's nearly always a breeze from the channel to add a nice wind chill effect... That still air and heat just combines to sap energy and make you drowsy if you're not careful.

I think it kind of stands out with Galt. You can go through the storyline up to that point as the whole, big, bad, professional Bounty Hunter with a code. You take your target, you don't get swayed, you capture/kill as the contract states and you don't break your word. They run through Tattooine pretty much laying the groundwork for you to be fairly irritated with his character and wanting to put a blaster bolt between his eyes.. run you up to that moment and boom. Suddenly you're faking his death, letting him be a crew member and ignoring the code you've been living by up to that point. Plus, he's a fairly annoying character as is.
