Well, combinations of the attributes grant you various increases in action points and initiative... So if you want to be able to take aimed shots with that sniper rifle twice a round.. you might want to have things balanced more.

Scottish Independence?
It does kind of amuse me that the Chinese media have been running coverage of this referendum in the line of "Instability and unrest caused by too much democracy. Look at the waning of a once great nation due to not strict enough social order..."

I've been roaming idly around Skyrim. I haven't actually been getting quests done. I haven't levelled up. I've just wandered and found locations....I really should make a start on actually doing stuff.....

Kite. Live-action based on the anime , your standard low budget dystopian run-down bleak future city full of corrupt cops and child trafficking gangs. A teenage girl wreaking vengeance for the death of her police parents on the mysterious crime figure known as the Emir. Samuel L Jackson taking a turn as her father's former partner who has been helping her. Eh, not too bad, not too great. You kind of expect one of the twists, there aren't that many action sequences so much as sudden moments she kills people by surprise. Also, I will admit to having caught the film Live Nude Girls on the background the other night. An incredibly cheesy comedy set in the 80's about a washed up finance guy who suddenly inherits a strip club in LA from his uncle, only to find that it's gone from it's glory days in the 60's and 70's to a washed up dingy joint by '85. So he has to struggle with the battle against bankruptcy, sleazeball customers, and out of control strippers. Along the way he manages to accidentally invent the art of the pole dance and lap dance. It actually pretty much follows all the clichéd points of a classic sports movie, just with strippers instead of baseball. Most of it was pretty bad, but it had a few lines that just had to be quoted. "So give me an overview of the situation." "Well, it's like the Titanic. After it's hit the iceberg. If everything was on fire. And the water was full of exploding sharks. And everybody has leukemia." ".... Right. So not going well then?" "Hey, that's my coffee!" "I need it more." "Really?" "Were you up all night till 45 minutes ago having sex with three drag queens and a rather confused rodeo cowboy? No? Right, now give me the damn coffee!"- What are you playing now?
Felt like some virtual hiking time, so re-installed skyrim. put the dlc on which I haven't played yet, and just spent some time loading up mods on it out of curiousity... now time to plunge into the fray and see what I actually remember of it...- What you did today
Well I attended a Mexican Independence Day party, where everyone was encouraged to wear Mexican themed outfits. And one of the hosts made Mojito's with Brazilian rum. Then later dressed as a luchador and wrestled all the women at the party.- Scottish Independence?

There's always room to be shaken and not stirred. I got home from a meal that was partially networking with business associates of a friend. Pleasant thai food and beer. Then I saw on the internet that Keannu Reeve's is turning 50. Damn. That makes me feel old.- What you did today
heh, that's a point a former Ranger discussed with me. You have the Hollywood view of Special Forces / Survivalist type guys being the Woldan-esque big, beefy, defined and bulky muscle toned types... When they actually tend to fail out of the qualifications. Those body types tend to require a lot of calories and resources to keep going strong, so put them in a position of day after day effort with minimal resources and they tend to drain and fade out quicker then the lean, resilient, wiry types. So you'd have to balance out Woldan's skills and attitudes for survival, against whether you want to get between him and that last tin of food you might be sharing..- The Funny Things Thread
What was that old hoary story about someone asking a Polish guy if they thought of the Russians as friends or family... He turned around in amazement and said "Family of course!" then after a moment added "I get to CHOOSE my friends."- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS

Interesting! What kind of surgery was it? Well, due to a previous surgery, she has a chiari malformation - which means her brain suffers downward displacement and pushes it against the spinal cord. Which has resulted in a case of syringomyelia, where a cyst forms within the spinal cord which duly cuts off sensation in the extremities, loss of motor control while increasing levels of pain. So they're having to basically cut a piece of her skull out, sever that nice braid of muscle that protects the spine, get in, figure out a way to keep the brain elevated, drain/remove the cyst, re-sew the muscle back together and mutter their black magic arts over it all while hoping that no infection sets in. None of which actually guarantees regaining any lost sensory/movement abilities. There's a fun range of what percentages can be recovered. The main key is preventing it from getting worse. Of course, her neurologist was pissed that the ER doctors she's been going in to see over the last year for chronic migraines and pain had not picked up on it and just kept giving her pain management drugs. If it had been noticed at any point, it wouldn't have waited until she was having trouble holding things before they figured it out.- The Funny Things Thread.
