  1. For that whole club scene, it's the little things that amused me. All the bad guys he was killing were wearing literal red shirts.
  2. In some regards to the action sequences, this might interest a few folks: Tom Cruise, John Wick, and the New Hollywood Gunfight A touch on how single shots of well-practiced moves add a sense of realism and effect that you lose when it's all "cut here, cut there, change angle over there.." that you used to get in most action sequences. Thus the physical training and muscle memory of being able to perform x martial arts or y firearms drills provide a more effective burst of action than you might otherwise get, especially when it's all obviously done in one single take.
  3. I have to admit, I loved the supporting cast in that film. A lot of very good actors who always seem to have that "I recognise the face but not the name." Also, you have a scene where Keannu actually emotes. Seriously emotes. How can you not be impressed with that?
  4. National Interest; the Buzz - Insane US Army missile will spew clusters of deadly quadcopters And to steal someone's comment in regards to this..:
  5. Also, just for Hurl...
  6. For those who might find it interesting... The Guardian - Neil Gaiman Interview
  7. I quit Stellaris a while back because I got into a bit of an arms race with my neighbors (it is really boring). Plus I'm trying to cut down on my alcohol intake and the way I prefer to play Stellaris is drunk while listening to Aqua. I think in some ways Stellaris is a typical game from Paradox. It's an interesting game, but it's probably more worthwhile to wait a year or two and for the next half a dozen dlc to come out and be on steam sale and have the much more expanded game play and fine-tuning.
  8. I was debating putting this in the Weird Things thread but, eh, knowing the crowd around here this will produce more chuckles than anything else.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHX9Epp62hw&list=PLuKg-WhduhkksJoqkj9aJEnN7v0mx8yxC&
  9. I'm actually pondering whether it would be worthwhile to spend the £3.99 to get Origin Access next month, purely to see what the 10 hour early access of ME: Andromeda is like, and potentially have the 10% off the price for buying it afterwards if I like it....
  10. xXx The Return of Xander Cage. Amusing silliness as you might expect. Over the top stunts/action sequences, plenty of Donnie Yen and Vin Diesel flexing around and working some nice choreography of fights and general "extreme" sports into the plotline.
