  1. Lords of the Fallen remained uncracked for at least 6 months, most of the sales within this period would be piracy free. So yes, you can measure how well a game does without piracy and whether there is a surge in the sales vs the projected sales. Personally I just think they are other factors and that this is just an excuse, also this may be the moment when publishers realize who the real enemy is: Steam Sales.
  2. Yes I can produce links for any debate I have...no issue there I will have to debate gorgeous women with you sometime then.
  3. I think it was John Carmack who said, "Story in a game is like a story in a porn movie." this is why I think video game journalism doesn't exist, what substitutes for it is a bunch of try-hards trying to earn a living by peddling crap. I bet this same reviewer praised Skyrim and Fallout 4 for their story. what a sorry excuse of a journalist. I disagree, I seen good articles that argue from a mechanical point and not through subjective bullcrap meant to obfuscate the point. Erik Kain saying that the eagle eye, detective view from Batman and AC detracts from level design and pointing out Thief games as good examples of how to guide players through a quest via good level design. That was good reporting that didn't trying to aggrandize a story that wasn't there. I actually suspect that most games journalist don't actually like games, understand them or even play them.
  4. You should forward that post to the president of Iran, maybe he doesn't know what he is getting into with Russia or maybe they just want their military power and have other plans to keep them afloat. I hear the petrodollar might be in danger. This might be one of those situations where having a state with all the power might be a benefit, since social planning becomes very easy. Yet it comes at the expense of individual growth and instead favors foreign investors, which may be why Russia has been cultivating relations foreign private investors.
  5. Talking in broad terms often leads to misinterpretations, but I still like to be concise and give people the chance to realize what I'm saying without having to overly explain myself. Russia's GDP is high enough that they have to be considered as a world leading economy and the fact that they one of two major agents within their geographical position was mostly what I was referring about. BTW, how is being an economic partner to the US or the EU any better?
  6. Whatever, Hollywood is in decline, TV is on the rise and as soon as people finish migrating to Internet TV it will cement its demise.
  7. These types of views always make me laugh, people who don't like the West assume China will offer them a better deal....more integrity Its so misplaced and spurious,I have seen this in Africa many times. But good luck to Iran....I hope they realize that China is currently restructuring its entire economy so we can expect 3-5 years of instability from them The West is still the best place to invest in and forge economic ties with by far but if countries dont believe this then they can learn the hard way Ok that could be it or maybe you don't understand geopolitics and can't realize that China and Russia are the leading economic and militant powers in the East which means that for political reasons having good relations with them means support in diplomatic matters. In other words; Iran is shopping for a new pimp.
  8. I actually thought that the story in Unity was really good, it was a nice departure from the boring Assasin's are good and Templars are bad routine and focuses more on personal dramas. It seems that it's better when they focus on that rather than the politics.
  9. Maybe they rather stand up for an **** than an ideologue, of the two the latter seems the worst to be honest.
  10. I will say this about Ubisoft, god bless their soul for still making games. The art is always sublime but it is the same tired formula which now seems be getting buggier by the iteration. Still they release games frequently enough that it keeps them afloat since the are filling in the gaps in between releases. Yet I remember what Ubisoft was during the Prince of Persia days, and it just makes me sad that Ubisoft has joined the rest of the entertainment industries in their walk to mediocrity.
  11. The conspiracy theorist in me knows that what goes on in France and England is related to the Jews...but in reality it may have to be with their culture and the focus on White guilt since it seems that it mostly prevalent in countries that have had colonies in the past. Of course this only happens on Western countries since everyone else still lives on the real world with the real issues and don't have to look that far back for stuff to deal with. Related to the Jews . . . you can't be serious. This has nothing to do with them on any level. Don't know, but the push for multiculturalism does seem to have strong ties to Jewish lead organizations and media groups. Whether this is merely because they are reactive to trends or because they're actively pushing towards is a point of contention. Although there have been some statements made by marginal groups and individuals with extreme personalities which don't amount to much evidence its enough for some people to build their theories. After all, when have conspiracy theorists needed much evidence.

  13. Maybe it's just selfish and wants the good stuff all to itself.
  14. Dammit, I was holding it so well until I saw this thread. Heard the news this morning but now I feel like crying.
  15. The EU has libertarian views? On what? Sorry I should have said liberal, I get those two confused sometimes.
  16. IDK, I enjoyed the boss fights in the Van Hellsing games.
  17. I generally agree with this, the problem imo however is mainly that public speakers and especially people on social media, are utterly incapable of speaking without deep implicit racial stereotypes - which absolutely needs to be adressed, even if their other points are valid. A silence that leaves the forum open for the radicals whom in their certainty will garner the support of many who are scared and will open the way for violent measures. Although to their credit, since it was the establishment who set up this mess against the better wishes of the public I guess that I wouldn't shed any tears if a few violent measures were thrown their way.
  18. We are social creatures, maybe they're hoping that others will come to understand their view or maybe they want some positive interaction.
  19. I agree on the point that austerity is a bad solution to Greece debt but OTOH they mishandled their loans more than once so that now they ****ed themselves up. A short term solution would be to engage in Communism where the state provides the populace while paying off the debt, but that would never work because it would impossible to get that many people to share the same goal. Nope, Greece has ****ed itself up and like other European countries I wish them luck in their descent into far right politics and I'll see them in WWIII. The best short-term solution would have been a fiscal policy aimed at economic growth and using the later surplus(es) to pay off the debt when the Greek economy could handle austerity. In it's current form all austerity does is depress the Greek economy and actually prevents them from paying off their debt in a sustainable manner. It's funny how the EU is creating the conditions for another fascist regime(s) despite being created to prevent that. "would have" You're talking past tense; yes it would have been better for Greece to use their loans to promote economic growth but they didn't. Right now they have no major industry that will get them out of debt and they are steadily becoming a third world country (if they're not one already). The EU with their libertarian views plus the influx of middle eastern immigrants are pushing Europe into the far right, when instead it should be focusing on creating jobs. Such as using Greek labor force to produce as an alternative to paying off debts with hard currency. But it seems that the only thing that the are trying to solve multilaterally is how to get more Muslims into Europe.
  20. Good to have the facts but I honestly didn't buy this thing for a second. When you have the capabilities you make a show of strength for the whole world to see, this is just bragging.

  22. You funny The worst thing about this whole " monkey " insult is how seriously so many black South Africans have taken what this ignorant racist said You would think they would ignore it but they don't, so for the last 2 days I have heard dozens of black South Africans phone in a various radio talk shows and say things like "I'm not a monkey ....I am tired of white people thinking we are monkeys " Yet that is NOT what people like me have ever thought So you're saying that they are taking it to be literal. Seriously though I can understand why the insult, this is after all the place where the cure for AIDS was raping a child. Not exactly a bastion of developed thought, but I will defer to you this matter since most of what we hear on news is the bad things. Although something has to be said about a level of violence which far surpasses even other violent underdeveloped countries.
  23. They are corrupted, they corrupt the teaching, corrupt the religion, that's why Jesus against them is it not? Maybe there are things we can learn from Jews, only good things of course...but what are the good things about them anyway? Well you could learn many things from the Jewish community....I would say the first thing should be how the Jews care about other Jews. They really care about the sanctity of a single Jewish life, most of the Islamic world doesn't seem to care too much about other Muslims if its an inconvenience ....like the Syrian refugees and how the Sunni countries in the Middle East don't want to take in any refugees Is that a good thing? Isn't that RACISM? Jew is a RACE, Islam is a religion, Muslims are from various of RACES...surely you don't want to play with this? Syrian are Syrian, Arabs are Arabs, Turk are Turks, of course they are majority Muslims but they are all of different race. I am Malaysian, i am not Arab, not Syrian, i can say Arab problem is not my problem, Syrian problem is not my problem...but Malaysian problem is my problem So if you want to put all Muslims into one shoe, and compare with Jews, then you are making unfair comparison and judgment Point of clarification, when most people say Muslim they mean Middle Easterner. So Muslim is used in the Western world as a race.
