  1. My impression was that it was supposed to like
  2. Think back to before ME, BW was associated with top notch storytelling. That was their selling point, what drew their fans was the uniqueness and novelty of every game. Now ME,ME2 and DA have failed to bring this to the table. Their universes expertly crafted but the games show nothing of it; because now, they have gone from offering opposing philosophies to different possibilities towards the same end. The storytelling formula hasn't changed one bit, it's still " one great evil terrorizes the land and your PC belongs to a faction/has a special power that will save the world". Instead the getting there is what has declined, no more great twist at the middle of the game, no more variety in choices. They went from being open ended, to multi-linear and apparently they won't stop until hitting kinetic. I understand that with their success the have become more restricted, but they can still try pure innovation with side projects and keep their revenue with the big franchises. That was what DA was supposed to be, a throwback to CRPGs, the "spiritual successor to BG" and in that aspect it failed. Now it has turned into Dragon Effect.
  3. What letter does ignorant starts with? S
  4. Instead they try to make games for everyone sacrificing creativity for conventionality. It's kind of good to see that BW has become a trademark and that the dialog system is all the rage right now; but DA was supposed to be a throwback to BG style games (it failed at that) and now they completely gave up that to go with the ME route. Despite DA's success as it is. This is the kind of thing you do to a spin-off, not to one of the main games on the series.
  5. My big question is, if Dragon Age:Origins is BW most successful game up to date; why would they turn it into ME?
  6. Is there any reason that this topic needs 2 threads?
  7. Whatever happened to setting and storytelling. The game was going for a Middle ages mood, it tried to be a plausible fantasy setting and not one of those JRPG craziness. I somebody as much as tweets something bad about BW you jump in defense. BTW, strawman on your take on Hitler, it was an example to signify your love of BW even if they released a distasteful game.
  8. So when Dragon Age turn into another of those half naked armored girl RPG you are going to okay with that. Of course you will, BW could do "The Holocaust" rpg and you would love it.
  9. Because Japanese devs have mastered the art of creating effiminate male characters? It should be something of common knowledge by now. Whatever, here is
  10. That was Morrigan!? Unless you are completely blind i'm sure that you have noticed the Ogre behind Morrigan in each poster, and it was featured more than those butt ugly blood dragon logos. Even the GI issue had a big stinking Ogre in it. How can you say that it isn't the face of DA?
  11. Why is it that every time someone talks about Kefka someone else finds that it's a guy?
  12. I feel the art style is better for things (mostly because I like that it's a bit more distinct/unique). One of the things I disliked about DAO was that the characters were all pretty obviously the same basic character rig distorted for a particular species. Yeah, but the creatures were some of the more awesome designs ever and they changed the ogre. The ogre was the face of DA, every poster, every promo, it was an intimidating creature. Now it looks like someone shat a horned beast onto a pile of sand.
  13. It's open to interpretation, but she was an unreliable witness since the idea that the world wasn't real was already implanted in her brain.
  14. It wouldn't be as bad a grievance if it was for the better. Plus now you are stuck with the image in your mind that this isn't how a Qunari is supposed to look like.
  15. Hey, a bird crapped inside Cindy Lauper's mouth and that didn't stop her from performing. Them wussies are just from the generation that has forgotten what hard works means: My Generation.
  16. Has someone mentioned ?
  17. Ennio Morricone anyone? I LOVE ENNIO MORRICONE
  18. I think his question is in regarding ... It was a difference in time.
  19. I'm of the same opinion, but my dead giveaway was when characters from the "reality" started repeating phrases that were previously mentioned during the dream state or the past. Plus It makes sense since it was DiCaprio's subconscious the one that during the whole movie, interfered with the missions and they had said that the subconscious would try to defend itself. And what Lady Crimson said.
  20. They probably hit the brown note They don't make good rockstars anymore, it used to take a crippling injury to end a performance and usually they ended the song before being rushed to the hospital. Good days.
  21. This is what happens when you put the dialog wheel on a game, it becomes full of plot holes.
  22. With a damn good soundtrack. If you like orchestral scores that pluck at the soul. Welcome to the Clint Mansell fan club. Because of the same reason that there is gravity in the rest of the world.
  23. BTW, since we are on the Inception topic; anyone want to discuss the ending?
  24. Wasn't your love worth a trip to the dentist?
  25. Saw Inception today, every bit of good as advertised. Is still good to see that Nolan has a knack for unique in-movie perspectives.
