Why every time that I read about DA:O 2 I get the bad feeling that this is just another great Idea about to be screwed by BioWare?

So all the stars with drug addictions, dead by overdose, or anorexia are not proof enough. I don't think they're proof of anything. Lots of non-stars have drug addictions, die of overdose, or have anorexia. Would you consider those non-stars addicts as having normal lives? There is a problem if these people who had no previous history of substance abuse gravitate towards it to deal with their issues, what's worse the drugs are readily available to them. Sure, there are a lot of non-star addicts but they are spread out trough the world and their reason for consumption are personal. To see so many people do that around a single place can't be just attributed to them, the environment has an effect on people. Much like if a wrongly convicted felon might turn into an actual felon inside prison, stars react to Hollywood. -
By God. The game is in it's butt ugly stage of development.

I didn't mean to imply there was only one type of personality ala Myers Briggs or something, that would be more attracted...it's more a matter of...certain personality traits, or at least the tendency towards such traits being in the forefront more often than the "average" person, perhaps. I guess that the only way to test your theory is to completely analyze superstars, but like I said they are too diverse to share a universal trait that compels them to act this way. Is unlikely mainly because not all stars behave the same, the funny thing is that most opinions from stars about the Hollywood medium can be boiled down to a flight/fight response. Those who embrace and those who reject and move away from the scene. -

I think that there is some clarification required, Hollywood as the lifestyle and the environment in which stars live in is different than Hollywood the area. But is on this area where the worse consequences of living in this medium are. Basically, the lack of privacy, the alienation, and the addictiveness of this lifestyle. Personally I doubt that only one type of personality would be attracted to becoming an actor, specially considering how many different kind of actors are out there. -
I'll watch it and translate for you, so don't despair.

So all the stars with drug addictions, dead by overdose, or anorexia are not proof enough. Crazy people exist everywhere but a lot of them seem to congregate around Hollywood. Every Actor's Studio interview has the drug question, or the substance abuse. Most Hollywood stars that live reasonably normal lives live away from Hollywood. -
Did it had great one liners like the original? Somehow I don't think so.

Excellent point. Tom Cruise has some very bizarre opinions, but he seems like a generally well-intentioned guy. Mel Gibson seems to be an intolerant bigot. But he made BraveHeart! Despite everything the man can still make good movies and that's all that matters. At least until he really goes gun-ho, then we'll have the next big Hollywood tragedy and "True Hollywood story" special. Gah this country is sick He's a **** and a bastard. He doesn't deserve your respect or custom. So you know him beyond the media frenzy? Hollywood is a sick environment, thats the only way I can explain so many people acting so crazy. At least they all deserve the benefit of doubt. -
I can't believe none of you jumped on this like comedy gold. Let's start with intense dumplings. As I have explained elsewhere my keyboard has NO ****ING LETTERS ON IT. I'm doing bloody well, considering. You could just replace them with the letters from your old keyboard, or are they a mismatch?

I'd like to add that alcohol was still consumed on the rest of the world, the opening of the American market was filled by legal producers and gave rise to new ones. Legalizing marijuana is just going to empower illegal drug dealers that will continue to peddle at an international level. On the other hand I disagree that legalization is a solution to the modern drug problem since drugs continue to evolve and cause mass epidemics: first it was opium, then coke, then crack and today it seems to be meth. There is a whole culture built around the consumption of these substance that is something that won't fade by simply making it mainstream. I also think that you underestimate the level to which mj has become culturally relevant, with their own celebrities, magazines and political parties; which have garnered enough support to become a strong contender despite it's platform. A few years back it was a matter of time before this would become a strong issue and seeing as support has not subsided I will say that is only a matter of time before it becomes legal.

Kids these days are marvelously uncreative. I could be a 40 year old fat guy for all you know, besides I have enough imagination to roleplay. But there is a limit to how much foreplay I can get before I get tired and scream to Gaider to finally release something.

Clint Eastwood as Marburg is as blasphemous as it gets. The man's man that taught a whole generation how to be men playing a spy queen, its just wrong.

It's an expression, instead of teasing awesome stuff just show it off when you can. They will eventually; it's hard to get excited when your girlfriend still has all her clothes on. They have to reveal something to build hype.

Such actions are usually spawned through a simplemindedness which is all to common theese days it would seem If you're not willing to buy that as an explanation, you will probably waste alot of time searching for one. Crimes of passion have been around ever since the first caveman killed the caveman that stole his wife, I don't know what you are talking about "common these days".
