  1. If it wasn't a AAA game I probably rate above average as well, but seeing that college students crap better work than what went into DA2 I'm trying to understand what thought process told them that it was ok to release the game in that state. I have a professional curiosity to know what went so wrong in DA2's development that the end result looks so appalling.
  2. Ultimately I believe that the only quality control devs need to do on their games is play them. Then they will know whether the result is as they envisioned, they will know what user input problems rise and what design choices didn't work. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of game directors who don't play their own games, which is like being a cook who doesn't taste his own food.
  3. No telling yet. Considering that it's not taking place on Columbia, all bets are off. That's a whole other batch of circumstances. I mean I know it's the 50's and all but I doubt a father would lit a cigarette for his daughter.
  4. True, although I dislike the pointless negative criticism the most. Is like being judged by a nitpicking slug that you just want to pour salt on.
  5. Is that set in an alternate timeline? Booker and Elizabeth don't seem to know each other. Yes. Are they still father and daughter or can we sense sexual tension without the weirdness?
  6. Not really, before a person becomes a target of the ICC they have to found guilty primarily of genocide and serious human rights abuses. Not every criminal will qualify for this ignominious title so the ICC wouldn't get involved Why are we talking about the Internet Chess Club?
  7. I'm hoping that they didn't because they were warning shots meant to ultimately bring the perpetrator back alive.
  8. Doesn't take long to look at 20 women. But I draw them, that artist bull has gotten me into lots of places.
  9. Which is fair enough. So in this case the question is, how do we (the entire community) stop people from reacting in ways that are extremely out of proportionate to the "problem" and getting them to provide the useful feedback without forcing the developer to swim through waves of noise in order to find that irate community member's signal? We can get the like system to be reflective of a vote, if enough people like it the devs will read it. And then be confused because they are completely missing the context.
  10. So what kind of action against an "impassioned" player making death threats isn't overreacting? Deleting the threats? Banning the poster? Calling the police because you've been threatened? I understand feeling passionately about a game, but why would we want to excuse the actions of a person who feels that the correct response to announced changes in a game they like is threatening to kill the people who make the changes? I don't think it merits imprisonment.
  11. If your players are 'passionate' this way about a game so to threated developer with death then you can only imagine the way they commonly treat each-other.You can leave it to fester but then normal players will be pushed out and the community will start to give you a bad name. And the whole Fish nonsense just proves how immature gaming community really is. Apparently devs and journalists included. But at least in a forum community you can ban people and ensure a level of respectability. There isn't that type of monitoring around most types of Social Media Perhaps instead of monitoring they could just assign demerits, with some visual hook to show to everyone that this person is an undesirable and with the option to filter posters by demerits.
  12. I play like that, although I'm now too high level for life saving shenanigans. But my favorite bit had to be getting to giant's to chase me into a stormcloack camp and let them fight out then kill the survivors. Ahh, to be level 1 again.
  13. So, anyone wants to start a fund to pay for hitmen?
  14. Don't worry, the cult's presence on Solstheim is very low. Probably cause they are all over Skyrim looking for you. I can't imagine they'd find me cleverly hidden in the mine as I am, willfully ignoring the cult quest. But now I want to go back to Skyrim and see if I can get some Cultists, Vampires and Dragons attacking me all at the same time... Console commands are your friend then.
  15. Just out of curiosity, how many game dev's names stretch beyond gaming?
  16. She was dating me, there is no way she gets out of that emotionally intact.

  18. I always get slapped when breaking up, does that count?
