Speaking of heat.. I've been sleeping with my balcony door open: Heard a noice when I went to the bathroom, looked up, saw that. It's around 10 cm (4 inches) from ass to nose (scary tentacles not included). Never saw a bug that big in Sweden before. I think it plans to kill me..

Animations are much better now (ragdolls look cool), the levels seem more diverse and more open than in previous games and swimming is back. Maybe Risen 4 will have both climbing and diving back? Anyhow, I'm much more interested after watching that video.

I just wish they hadn't chosen to go with 2D backgrounds. It looks so dead! The characters are smooth and beautifully animated, but then they run through a forest and grass and nothing's moving. It's like seeing live action actors imposed on a cartoon background.

When I traveled through the US, I stopped living in hotels after a while. I just crashed in whoever-offered-me-a-place-to-stay-for-the-night's apartment. People drove me around in their cars and gave me guided tours of their little towns. They were so proud to show me all the lookout points and beaches and best burger places! We joke a lot about Americans but they are truly the friendliest people I've ever met.

Nice. I was looking at Sacred 2 during the sale, but it never went below 50% and I felt 10€ was too steep for that game. Checked into Steam just now and it's on a daily deal at 80% off (4€). I feel lucky. Installing now.

I've mainly noticed that compressing files in and out of zip/rar is a great deal faster. And yes, games load in an instant, to the point where I have no time to read the loading screen tips in most games I play!

Well, the best tourists are the Japanese. Friendly, careful, not very loud, very polite, shows great respect for the culture they're visiting. But boy, do they travel in packs!

I arranged my cousins bachelor's party yesterday. Sat in an outside giant wooden bath tub in the rain and freezing cold until 04:30. Success!

They sometimes accidentally turn the percentages the wrong way around on Aliexpress.com. I was snooping around there when this $2000 quad-copter came on sale at a 85% rebate. I thought it was pretty cool, but it was still a lot of money so I decided to sleep on it (I was browsing in the middle of the night). In the morning, when I woke up, it was set at 15%. The seller actually honored the 85% deal for some lucky dude in Holland. I've been to San Antonio. It was my favourite place to visit when I was in Texas. That place is almost like an American Venice, with the canals and everything! Very good food, great hospitality and (if I remember correctly) great micro-brewed beer. I didn't remember the Alamo..

Hmm.. the few games on my wishlist that are discounted are discounted by 30-33% (ie. not enough), and the other parts of the Steam sale aren't discounted enough for impulse buys.
