It helps if you buy the right car at the beginning. I went with the Audi TT Quattro. Easy to drive, cheap to upgrade and pretty fast for a class F car. Myself, I have completed every race in the game except three: The Pass of Good Hope, The Narducci Loop and Tantalus. I can probably get the gold from the first two, but.. Tantalus seems impossible. You're supposed to drive a class A car (Enzo Ferrari, McLaren F1, Koenigsegg type of cars..) down a mountainside. The road is like a serpentine and it's full of traffic in both directions. You have very little time to do it on and the race is damage sensitive. By that I mean that the car has 100 "hitpoints" and if you either drive outside the tarmac or even nudge another car, you lose hitpoints. Once the car has zero the race is over. One tiny nudge on another car and you immediately lose 20.. IMPOSSIBLE! Oh, and I still have to drive a bunch of whiny supermodels around the island, but those missions are so boring I just don't have it in me to finish them.

A turn based Fallout on the DS (much in the same vein as Advance Wars) would actually rock. If they'd manage the lovely setting and humour of the Fallout franchise, of course.

Maybe LucasArts weren't happy with KotOR2 and wants Bioware to take back the franchise?

I played a paladin up to level 60 and a few months into the endgame. Trust me, I believe every class feels the same way you do about their particular class. Like my paladin for instance; I was a veritable killing machine at the last weeks of the closed beta. I had attack skills that I could activate whenever I wanted, I had heal spells I could use when needed and at the same time I had to balance my limited mana resource between the two. The game was fun and I even had a shot in the PvP (which I usually love in all games). One week (I think it was) before the beta ended, Blizzard suddenly decides to redo the entire paladin! Gone are all the attack skills, gone is everything you had any control over in combat, in with some untested **** that I forgot the name of. Bottom line is, with one week left of beta they decided to entirely redo the paladin class and what was sent out into the retail was a version of the class that had been tested wayyy too little. It turned out that the changes completely drained all the fun out of the paladin (and thus the game) for me. From having been in total control of my attack options, they turned me into a magic eightball (or something), that relied only on chance ant zero on tactics or player input. I could turn on skills and then.. wait. And wait. And wait. And if I got lucky, the skill would trigger. So instead of having to manage my limited mana between healing and attacking, I was now forced to sit and stare at the screen while an invisible dice decided if I attacked or not. Once every thirty seconds I got to press HEAL. Fun. Even though I had three months left on my account, I left World of Warcraft and I haven't returned since.

OK, time for an alternative view on FEAR: It's an absolutely monotonous experience with really cheesy horror elements thrown in at regular intervals. You spend the entire game trudging through the same extremely linear, greyish office levels, shooting at the same generic-looking soldiers, using the same time slowing tricks over.. and over.. and over. It does, however, have some of the most fantastic special effects going on when there's combat (which is 90% of the time) and it also has really superb (and highly aggressive) AI that actually manages to surprise you from time to time. I love how they seem so ferocious (why is explained in the story)! Basically it's a Doom-like shooter done very well. No brains required. -

Sure, nice collection. But why is the last picture included in the ad of a woman with a dog? Is she included too? If she is, I'm bidding.

We're still in the race! But I really hope we play better against the Islanders or we can kiss this years playoffs goodbye too. That would make it two years in a row.. Horrible. But we'll win against the Islanders and we'll win against Montreal! GO LEAFS GO!

Today was a special day for me. Not much to tell of interest to anyone but me, but I can at least brag about my latest purchase: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 It's a pocket sized digital camera by Panasonic, with a 10x optical zoom lens from Leica (28-280 mm, which means it also has a wide angle mode). Other noteworthy features are an optic image stabilizer, 7 megapixel resolution, 3" LCD screen etc. It's supposed to be the perfect travel camera. Review: http://www.popphoto.com/cameras/3989/panas...amera-test.html I also got one of these: Sandisk 4GB Secure Digital Ultra II complete with a card reader. Great day all in all.

If you really (and I mean really) like cars, you could always try Test Drive Unlimited. It has no story though. No red thread leading you through it all. You're just dumped on a huge Hawaii-like island with $200,000 in your pocket and from there on you are on your own. You need to buy a car and an apartment to get started. Then you work your way through the races that pop up, advance in rank from amateur to Champion, buy more cars, buy more apartments (for more garage spaces), buy clothes for your character, upgrade your cars with mod kits, deliver suspicious packages, pick up hitchhikers, give rides to supermodels and transport valuable cars all over the island. It helps if you enjoy listening to different engine sounds and experience the feel of four wheel drive vs. rear wheel drive etc., like I do. I've been playing the damn game for a few weeks straight now and I just can't stop. The game keeps track of the total distance you've driven in the game. I was up to 3000 miles last night (2980 to be exact..). Insane.

It's a thing this particular band has. Not sure about its origins myself, but you're supposed to wave a toilet brush above your head instead of a lighter or your hand. Preferably a clean one.

That was a totally PATHETIC effort by the Leafs. Jesus ****ING Christ, where's the playoff urgency?! And what the hell is up with Sundin? He ends up on the season's worst goal scoring drought just as they enter the playoff race? ARGH!! Go Leafs go.

ANYHOW.. finally some news (semi-official) about the upcoming patch. It will be huge (size-wise).

I went to a party last night. We were 2 guys and 10 girls. 8 of the girls were dancers! You can imagine the perfect bodies.. After the party we went to a club where a punk group called "The Kristet Utseende" played. It was awesome but I forgot to bring my toilet brush. Next time. At least I got to dance with the dancers. Good times!

I accidentally watched another video presentation of the Cry Engine 2, and now I'm looking forward to Crysis again. Unbelievably, some stuff they're showing in the video. Check out the nuke in the last few seconds of the video. AWESOME. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/crysis/n...;om_clk=topslot

I finally managed to break that elusive 400 km/h barrier in test Drive Unlimited. I had to buy a Koenigsegg and buy the most expensive mod kit for it to be able to set a personal record of 401 km/h.. It is supposed to max out at 426 km/h, but I haven't found a road straight and long enough for me to reach those kind of speeds. I'm having great fun though!

We managed to win after all! Even after we let in the equalizing goal with only FOUR seconds remaining of the game! When that happened I was sure that Pittsburgh would bring the positive momentum into the OT, but the Leafs scored first and won! WOO! And tonight is an extremely important game as well! Leafs vs. Rangers. If the leafs win this one, we're in the play-offs (momentarily..). If we lose this one, it will be extremely difficult to gain ground on the teams ahead of us. BUT WE WILL WIN! WE WILL SHOOT HOLES THROUGH LUNDQUIST IF WE HAVE TO! GO LEAFS GO!

Nope. But I have to admit I am stuck in the Army Warehouse zone because of constant crashes. I am hoping that the patch will solve that problem for me, but I don't want to start all over again because of it so I'm stuck there too. Constant crashes or having to start over?! Argh. -
