  1. In what way? You do realize that every news reporter in the world is getting their stories from the same sources, right? The only difference is how much they edit out of the original piece and how much spin they add to it. In Sweden, they chose to report about how little of the actual aid that got through. In the US, that fact seems to have been edited out. Also, the Swedish help workers who were on the ships have been interviewed the last couple of days and are telling a very different tale than what Israel has been telling.
  2. I did. It was a heavily edited video where all the violence shown was help workers beating defenceless soldiers. One would imagine some shots must have been fired too since nine people died though. Kind of weird that there's no showing of those in the video, don't you think? As a matter of fact, no, you don't think. As I said, pointless. If you can't even spot obvious propaganda, then why do you bother responding? All you can contribute with is nonsense.
  3. So according to Wrath of Moron, there's no blockade against Gaza, because he's seen pictures of tables full of food! That must mean there's enough food for the entire Gaza populace.. on those tables!! Or maybe Israel just sucks at blockading? Maybe there is no war with Hamas after all? Oh, this is all so confusing! That and the entire world (and the UN, since they've condemned Israel for doing it) must be wrong about there even existing a blockade since there are pictures of food.. on a blog.. on the internet.
  4. An interactive map to show how large this spill is by now: http://www.ifitwasmyhome.com/ Just wow.
  5. Two Worlds was excellent!! You know NOTHING!!1!oneoneeleven
  6. I disagree completely with this "help poor Obsidian despite their game being a bit crap" notion. We're not talking about some indie upstart that's struggling with their first steps in the industry here. We're talking about professionals who are already highly regarded names in the industry. Trust me, their salaries mirror this quite well. If Obsidian crashes, these guys will land on their feet. I'm happy to support Basilisk Games (and their one man development team) despite me knowing I won't be completely satisfied with the final product. I am not happy supporting a million dollar company if the product isn't the AAA title I was expecting. If Obsidian can't support what they're doing financially, then maybe taking a step back would be good for them? Maybe a few years with less than five figure salaries would make them care enough to release another Baldur's Gate 2/Fallout equivalent? I've said it before and I'll say it again: I hate this whole Rockstar attitude some developers have, I hate the McDonald's type rotation of personnel amongst game developers and I hate that it's become all business, no passion, no loyalty.
  7. <snip> Who claimed Hamas were the good guys? They're not. They are the other extreme. The civilians caught between Israel and Hamas are the ones the convoy was for. The CNN quote you provided is funny though because that's not what's being reported in Swedish newspapers. And in this case I choose to believe my local sources. Yes, they're refusing to accept the aid. That much is clear. But why? Israel says they have 20 trucks of aid.. well, each one of those boats held more than 20 trucks of aid originally! Again, they have stolen 90% of the goods and are delivering the scraps to the people of Gaza. Great job of reporting it as them delivering everything they found as the good Samaritans they are and are being stopped by the evil, evil Hamas. It's not that easy. Great job of ignoring the other side you keep preaching about. If they were being beaten.. and had their weapons taken from them.. how did they manage to escape this horrible, life-threatening situation without casualties and with NINE HELP WORKERS SHOT AND KILLED? Are those nine dead people hyperbole? Feel free to explain how you're thinking here. Nine people are DEAD, none of them soldiers. How's that for facts? <snip>

    Kids

There is a feature called bloodlines in the MUD Medievia. You and another (maxxed out) player gets a child together, and if that child becomes maxxed out (level 124 currently), the parents receive bonuses. And then that child of yours can have their own kids too and it's the same procedure again, I think up to the fourth generation. It's actually quite cool.
  9. Yes, they did. But unlike the Fox News (or wherever you get your news from) they also happened to mention that Israel sets their own rules as to what constitutes humanitarian aid. Rules that seemingly override what the rest of the world (and the UN) sees as humanitarian aid. This means that only a fraction of what the boats were carrying would ever reach the civilians in Gaza and the rest would be stolen by Israel. This happens all the time (read what other help organizations have been put through by the Israeli government) and this is the very reason they are trying to send boats directly to Gaza! If you stop to think for a moment: if Israel were so kind-hearted and willing to help and just wanted to inspect the goods, why on earth do you think Ship to Gaza chose to try to circumvent this? Why go through all that trouble if they were free to help the people in Gaza? The rest of the post is typical Di nonsense. Yeah, sure, the rest of the world is biased against Israel for no reason whatsoever.. And the video released by Israeli forces clearly shows the entire picture and is not a propaganda piece.. And Gaza is not starving, which is why the entire world is currently engaged in trying to bring food/aid to the civilian population.. And please forget that they boarded these ships on international waters.. Or the fact that nine people were killed by soldiers bearing firearms (and no soldiers were killed, despite the video showing how they were brutally attacked)..
  10. Eschalon says hello.
  11. I must say I'm impressed by how well Spellbound has managed to evolve the existing creature roster from the earlier Gothic games into Arcania, and yet keep them close enough to the originals for me to instantly and instinctively recognize them: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/gothic4/vid...ie#toggle_video
  12. I disagree. Drowning isn't a pretty thing. There have been no reports of any killed Israeli soldiers.
  13. I don't think anyone has claimed they didn't defend themselves when the soldiers boarded their ships? Notice though, they are very careful to not show any shooting. So how did nine people die then? Editing to only show the opponents worst sides is making that video pretty useless as "evidence" or whatever it's supposed to be. Personally, I would much rather be tossed from a ship than shot dead by firearms.
  14. I had no idea. Nevertheless, if you wanted to inspect the cargo of the convoy, why would you send warships, helicopters and heavily armed commandos in the middle of the night? Does that really sound like someone who wants to innocently inspect your ship's cargo?
  15. So if a burglar enters your home, you attack the burglar and he kills you, the burglar only acted in self defence since you were the one attacking him? These ships were on international waters. The Israeli soldiers boarded the convoy on international waters. What is so hard to understand here? If a ship is in international waters, that ship is to be seen as a continuation of the nation under which flag it sails. If the ship had a Swedish flag, this means the Israeli soldiers entered Swedish territory uninvited and the Swedish crew would be entitled to expel the intruders from their ship. I don't understand how the Israelis can claim they were attacked first.. they were obviously standing on the deck of a foreign nation's ship on international waters, holding firearms in their hands. So who attacked who?
  16. Are you being facetious or do you really believe what you just wrote? You really need to educate yourself better. So you're claiming Henning Mankell, world famous Swedish author and well-known humanitarian (known for donating half of his considerable wealth to charity), is a member of this undefined Islamist group.. and then you want other people to "educate yourself better"? Your ignorance is nauseating.
  17. There are nine Swedish people aboard that convoy. Several of them are scientists from MY university. One of them is actually a friend! They were on international waters, it has been confirmed. They are carrying humanitarian help, although with the help of US "intelligence", I am sure Israel will claim they were full of invisible Weapons of Mass Destruction. Gaza is under a blockade and civilians are hurting, this is the reason for the convoy in the first place: to help. Israel's attack was nothing more than a terrorist attack. Will be fun to see how the self-appointed world police, the US, reacts to this. A terrorist attack by their only ally in the middle east, against a convoy where two of the boats are carrying an American flag, thus on international waters are seen as US territory. A terrorist attack on US soil! Now let's see if all people are equal, if the US government will stand up for democracy as the lighthouse they claim they are.
  18. Relatively new preview of Arcania: Gothic 4 http://pc.ign.com/articles/109/1090936p1.html It doesn't sound like a game I'm going to enjoy the way I enjoyed the harsh Gothic games of past, but it'll still be interesting to me, if only because of the open world, Gothic setting and RPG mechanics.
  19. Me and my cousin was drinking beer and had nothing to do last night. So we went to a place where you can rent Blu-Ray movies.. and it turned out they were selling the PS3 version of Red Dead Redemption (it's been sold out in every other store in my town!). My cousin bought it and we played it until early morning. Awesome game so far, and we haven't even done anything yet. We did like one main story mission and failed two other quests, but it was still awesome.
  20. I'm pretty sure noone but me cares, but: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/27/new-driv...softs-e3-booth/ A new Driver game is on its way! It's basically open-world racing with missions and really cool cars. I loved the original Driver, missed Driver 2 (due to it only appearing on consoles), couldn't play Driver 3 because of all the bugs and loved Driver: Parallel Lines. I'm glad they haven't given up on the franchise.
  21. I'm looking forward to this: Daggerfall XL part 1: Daggerfall XL part 2: Amazing work and progress.
  22. And I think it's both (science for software, repair for hardware). DO EET
  23. I finished Eschalon: Book 2 with my warrior last night. The ending was.. not a disappointment (because I already knew there was going to be a Book 3), but a slight let-down. I'm still going to get Book 3.. whenever it comes out in 2012-2013 or so
  24. Why would you write that you've had sex on a geek board on the internet? It makes it sound like that's the only time you've actually had sex since you joined in 2004.

    NHL

That's one way of seeing it. Another way is, the team that gets Hossa makes it to the finals. Maybe that's how valuable that guy is?
