  1. Playing various emulators on the big tv, I really should have got a DVI-HDMI lead ages ago, Sonic looks glorious with massive, cleanly scaled pixels all over his face.
  2. I have just quickly tried Morrowind, but just by looking at those pictures I'm tempted to say it has about four times the diversity in landscape when compared to Oblivion. Looks much more interesting. Definitely, Oblivion has plenty of variety if you like forest but Morrowind absolutely has more, this is the most well organised list of mods I could find when I first installed it, I hope you find some useful stuff there. Install the Visual Pack then Connary's textures and the Morrowind Graphics Extender for instant visual gratification, the rest is window dressing but still good stuff.
  3. Don't get me wrong, I completed it, I just wasn't blown away by the plot or gameplay, on a side note, my current pc (silly fast) still can't run it at a constant 60fps.
  4. After falling into the hardware upgrade trap with Crysis and getting a badly optimised game that struggled to reach 30fps on mostly medium/high settings I find myself realising how little I care about what happens to Crytek, not that I think this will damage them in the long run, they're Nvidia's big golden bollocks.
  5. I've got to try the Legion route at some point, I'm still trying to erase the New Vegas burnout with other games till the DLC is all released.
  6. My livingroom lends itself to separation, there's big alcoves on either side of the fireplace so the epic telly and surround amp go on one side and my geeking desk goes in the other. Anyway I've endured a 20 minute PSN update and the demo is coming down, can't hurt to have a little look
  7. I still need to play the final episode, various life related catastrophes got in the way and it feels a bit weird going back there just yet, they captured Guybrush's character down to a tee though.
  8. What's the issue? Have you played the demo? No real issue, I'm just quite set in my ways I enjoy racing games and beat em ups on a console but when it comes to more thoughtful games I like to be right up close to a decent screen in my nice chair.
  9. I may have to bite the bullet and buy it on PSN but I don't really like playing puzzley games on consoles. Ooo, stuff to waste money on. Bah, these were actually made in russia, sold out already...damn.
  10. Eurogamer Review Gamespot video review I almost missed this one being released and thought it's worthy of a thread, I really like the style going on here.
  11. Always believe in your soul, you've got the power to know, you're indestructible?
  12. I can see an armed populace being a deterrent to a potential fascist but ultimately the global ruling class won that arms race a long time ago, when are gun shops going to start stocking apache helicopters and stealth bombers?..though that would indeed be cool
  13. I've been meaning to play this one for years, still, it'll have to wait a bit longer, sooo many games to play these days.
  14. I expect something similar, I'm curious about the Akatosh/Alduin connection though, the idea that maybe he wasn't helping Tamriel as much as himself at the end of the MQ in Oblivion.
  15. I completed the Morrowind main quest so I thought I'd share some celebratory screenshots, I think they hold up surprisingly well to the latest Skyrim shots. Vivec is so f***ing huge. Grassy Solstheim. Be veeeewwy quiet. Epic forest. Ghostfence no more. Foggy Foyada Mamaea. Daedric ruins in the distance.
  16. If dragons can talk (previous lore says that they can) I want them to sound like Bryaugh On the other hand the dragons won't necessarily be evil, Alduin is just doing his job.
  17. The new skill 'webs' actually look good and I'm not so bothered about the spammy dungeons, with the faster combat it should feel less of a hellish, godawfull chore, I want to see the PC user interface in action. *edit* From the Eurogamer preview "Beyond the visuals and the combat, BioWare's preparing a refined experience for things like DLC. Having learned from the first game, the developer is promising optional updates will provide longer adventures and will be easier to locate in the world once you've bought them." Easier to locate? Easier than a sandwich board wearing moron sitting my camp for the whole game?
  18. I think I'm satisfied that the graphics are going to be typical Bethesda, excellent for the time but with a few rough edges, I want to see these scenes in motion...
  19. *optimism mode re-engaged*
  20. The forest scene with the waterfall looks the worst to me, no shadows or reflections and there's horrible low res textures all over the place, the rest look nice though, barring a few pixellated shaders and a couple of low poly objects. I do get a heavy Gamebryo vibe though, my biggest worry is that the game is going to be crash happy
  21. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-02-...vegas-interview Looks good
  22. *sidenote* Michael Kirkbride has been going lore mad on the Elder Scrolls lore forum recently, check out some of those names!. I really hope some of his insanity makes it into the final game, this is the guy who wrote Vivec.
  23. LMFAO!!! Oh you should send the letter, I can't even bring myself to write mine, its so damn futile. I sent my letter a few months ago to a girl I'd known for six years, that was pretty much the last I heard from her...I didn't even mention my passionate desire to rape her dead mouth Joking aside, It's torn me apart, but you grit your teeth and get on with life, I miss her all the time but as Wals said, Lenin's corpse is a more likely candidate for worthwhile communication. The worst part about love is how weak it makes you once the barriers are down, I'm a pretty resilient guy but certain women appear to have the ability to turn me into a giant, shambolic p*ssy.
  24. New info from OXM magazine
  25. Aye, as I recall DA let you **** pigs and chickens, still, I'm not pre-ordering this time, I've lost quite a bit of faith after hearing about all the Mass Effect-ification going on.
