  3. To be frank instead of my usual tongue in cheek, I just think that those provisions could be used a lot more. I mean, I'm not really an expert on on the U.S. mobile service provider scene, but to my understanding both AT&T and T-Mobile have fairly dominant positions by themselves. Obviously, I could think a lot more examples from finland, but who gives a **** here, really...
  4. One of the most amazing women I've had the pleasure of knowing was an economist. I still can't figure out which was better, looking at her or have her explain all this stuff to me.
  5. That's what I meant, I like playing the whole trilogy up until that point.
  6. But boys they do have some stunning blond ladies. Last year I went to this music\dance festival in Belgium called Tomorrowland. We ended up meeting and partying with loads of really great people, but the Swedish girls were up there as some of the most attractive and friendliest of everyone we met . If I had to be objective I'd say the Norwegian ladies are the prettiest in Scandinavia and the Swedish men are the most attractive. While Denmark is where the fun is at. And where does Finland fit in, are they not considered Scandinavian? Do you guys share cultural similarities with Finns or not really? We used to be uncouth shock troops for the metrosexual powdered swedes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hakkapeliitta
  7. Last time I looked Microsoft was still running both office and windows from the same company.
  8. I dunno, I kind of like to play everything up to ~Thessia, and Horizon does compensate for it. From then on, though...
  9. Hi Nep Holy smoke thats cold !!! What do Finnish people do in that type of cold? Do they stay indoors after work or do they go to Gym and maybe hit restaurants in the evening? Pretty much life as usual. This is still well within normal winter temperatures. I think I got a mild case of food poisoning. When it starts getting below -25, life starts to suck. Snot freezes in your nostrils. First time I've heard someone attempt to use "manly" and "Stockholm" in the same sentence!
  10. Orogun you are coming from a flawed premise here. We have anti-trust laws here (Sherman Act, Clayton Anti-Trust Act, Robinson-Patman just to name a few and hundeds of state laws), that you are not taking into account that would prevent exactly what you theorize would happen. I'd even take it one step further than suggest legislative action that borrows a page from the Glass-Stengal act that would prevent insurance companies from owning hospitals and Medical facilities and vice versa. That would fix your concern too Wals.I have serious suspicions that anti-trust laws are either laxly applied or a complete sham. I can think of too many examples of what Orogun says and not one of good ols Standard Oil style cutting up...
  11. It was fun, I found the mission fun, too, really like a blend of the best parts of Kasumi and Shadow Broker. I even managed to die quite a few times, hasn't happened to me in a while on the regular difficulty... Had a talk with a friend about the party, even whennwe had identical crews and the same love interest, we still had significant dufferences in how it played out. Really impressive. Overall a wonderful end to the trilogy, at least when played out of chronology post-ending. I'll have to see what it feels like when fully integrated...
  12. Incredibly lazy morning. I think the -18c that's supposed to be outside has something to do with it...
  13. Well, at least she managed to confuse Austrian and Australian, eh?
  14. Long may it continue Sounds like a very different tune to the one from before you changed places. Disgustingly positive Hah. I'm doing probate for so many guys who died unmarried and childless, I'm sure I'll start worrying soon about never getting laid again. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy the sensation of sitting around a table, joking, with no easily offended sensibilities or overwhelming arrogance in sight.
  15. Day four at work. Spent the day in the appeal court with one of the partners, haven't been there in a while and wanted to remind myself of how the proceedings work there... Somewhat complicated by the 150 mile trip (each way) and a fairly impressive snow storm. Work's been fairly interesting, the partners and the secretary all seem to be super nice people, and I'm quite happy so far. My new apartment's over twice the size of my old one, my neighbours seem to be really quiet and from the muffled drunken yelling I just heard, sound isolation is also very impressive. Down to 7 boxes that need unpacking from 65, getting wired internet on friday (hooray for finding the last building in the world with unidirectional cable -> ADSL connection delay), been writing this post for 15 minutes due to being half asleep... so, g'night :D
  16. I'm without proper internet access until friday, and without my surround system until I get new speaker wires and a stand for my center... considering saving this until I'm all sorted, but probably gonna cave in and do it over the weekend...
  17. I hope it's better than Pinnacle Station, since a lot of the themes seem similar. "More Closure" sounds good, so cautiously optimistic here. Not sure where the hell it's going to fit in the timeline...
  18. It didn't. Next week. Have a million things to do, instead of the "inform service providers of new address" I have to terminate contracts and make new ones. We have a fairly advanced system in Finland where "official" address info automatically propagates to major companies you're registered with... except in my case, due to my past as a prosecutor all my address data is (in theory) secret, so I have to call everybody personally, then explain why I am calling them etc. A bore. Did some therapy shopping today, picked up Arkham Horror, so maybe Shub-Niggurath will be my valentine next year (trying to remain on topic here...)
  19. Thats not my intention, I just respect the advice of many people on these forums I wasn't being entirely serious...
  20. My hypothesis is because a female protagonist is novel. Now if we were to suddenly be subjected to the next 10 years of only being able to play female characters, it might be different. Personally, I very rarely play female characters if I have the choice. I just feel I always struggle with the concept mentally and it distracts from my experience. Oddly, if I am forced to play as a female character, it doesn't bother me as much. May have something to do with my perception as to what level of control I have over the character. If I perceive that the character is "mine" the female option is more difficult. Otherwise, it's just another character. I don't think it's ever been a deal breaker, however. Same here, but I'd never really given it any thought before...
  21. Haha, they'll gravitate towards ipad and appletv, if anything.
  22. Been assembling my new ikea book and media shelves and inhaling a ton of wood particles. Now back to the big city, move next week...
  23. Now you're just showing off.
