  1. The Curse cover is by Clyde Caldwell, not Larry Elmore, though.
  2. If we're reposting (that gif's awesome, though), I'll repost a bigger version of this one:
  3. Ditto Cassandra romance. I also had some personal quests fail to start, so that further limited my companion material. Still, in spite of the issues I mentioned, I'm still looking forward to a second playthrough. In great part due to comparing notes with a friend yesterday who had significant differences (well, for bioware anyway) in his story.
  4. Finished the game earlier today. Impressions coloured more than a bit by the fact that my experience was spread out over ~6 weeks instead of the usual ~6 days due to length of game (105h for first playthrough), new job and the move. Mostly found the game very enjoyable, even though I preferred the da2 combat with my 2h warrior (slower speed + lack of Scythe meant a lot of trudging around). Most companion stuff was front-loaded, so they seemed to be virtually absent for the second 50 hours of the game. Ending was abrupt with shades of Sith Lords. The first dragon you encounter is actually the hardest battle in the whole game. Anyway, enjoyed the game enough to already be planning a second playthrough in spite of my minor issues. Is my goty almost by default, as the only other game released this year I've played was watch dogs.
  5. Enjoying 5 days off... Work's been, well, interesting. Fun enough, nice people, but mostly have to figure a lot of stuff out for myself (ie. pester those few that know what to do) due to the people who should be teaching me being either on maternity leave or on death's door. Happy to be back in Helsinki and earning a living wage, at least!
  6. Yeah, I'm looking at today's IR list as a sign of which guys on the bubble are definitely coming back. (armstead, strief, thomas) That said, I have absolutely no idea what went wrong. It's like every aspect of the Saints game just collapsed. No pass rush. No corners. No interceptions. Brees throwing picks at every possible worst moment. O-line failing. Poor clock management and play-calling.
  7. Actually, they did Curse of the Azure Bonds also as a PNP module (I happen to own a physical copy of it from back in the day). I think it was an attempt to tie in the three different mediums (pnp rpg, crpg and novels) more efficiently - while the pool of radiance novel is (iirc) pretty good, the module, ruins of adventure, blows. Curse was certainly an improved attempt on that front, IMO. Also, <3 Alias
  8. Awesome job so far. Otoh, both Alias the Sellsword and Vala the Amazonian had a profound impact on preteen Nep, which probably goes to explain my particular liking for those games :D
  9. Yeah. I decided to switch to DAI at halftime.
  10. heh, i was 8 or 9 when I got por. It, along with curse, blades and pools were THE games I really played over the next 10 or so years, along with the dark queen of krynn. Awesome games, I always found the basic story of secret of the silver blades to he hugely enjoyable, but lacking a bit in execution. Overall on a fairly high level, I found all of them to have at least pretty good narratives...
  11. Also, day of the big move. Following my earthly possessions by train. Start work at new place on Monday...
  12. Neti pots, awesome, help a ton.
  13. This is probably the best thing I've ever seen.
  14. Yeah, I'm looking back at all the mock drafts that had him falling to Saints...
  15. That's ok, you could have RGIII: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000429797/article/did-rgiii-call-out-his-teammates-after-buccaneers-loss Biggest. Draft. Bust. Ever. (I have a direct link to this thread, I'm gonna risk coming here as I can't really talk football anywhere else right now) :D
  16. Now try being the supporter of the one of those teams that is currently second. Seriously, I can only describe the saints' performance yesterday as "flaccid". And now, in addition to only having one good corner and a couple of guys who're going to be playing in Finland or Germany next year, we've gone from overloaded with safeties to having a sophomore-slumping Vaccaro, a clueless Ball and a dude who's name I can't remember since he just joined the team last week after Byrd, Sunseri and now Bush have been taken our for the season. So, the team has no secondary. And just one running back. Also, we're so much over the cap there's going to be a second round of cutting that's going to make last year's seem easy. I'm pretty sure that at least Colston and Watson are heading for FA (or probably retirement), Ingram is going to be either too expensive or too erratic to keep and one or both of the guards are going to be too expensive to keep... and the team hasn't drafted well in years
  17. Meanwhile, I'm a gonna leave for a while, due to the move, the new job, and avoiding DAI spoilers until I actually have the time to play it (January?)
  18. It was about stopping an archdemon which had possessed a dragon...yes I think that's right ? About 50 % wrong.
  19. "Best game ever. The romances were so well done I even kissed my monitor ?" -BruceVC "Too much romance and not enough fighting in tunnels" - Monte Carlo "Better than Twitcher3" - Hoon Ding Talking about Monte where has he been? Probably in a fallout shelter, expecting western civilization to collapse with the release of DAI...
  20. Yeah, I'm going with the 48 mostly because it's reviewed very well for the picture, doesn't have any (to me) unnecessary stuff like 3d and apparently boots a lot faster than the higher end sony models of this year. If there was a bigger model in that series, I'd definitely be interested.
  21. To paraphrase Cespenar, "Ooo... big screen, that. You overcompensating, maybe?" I'm just sore because the 48w605 is going to be the best I can afford at the moment :D
