  1. Fair enuff. I haven't stumbled lately into too many games that I haven't considered worth the time invested in just one playthrough (though watch dogs was close), but I can see that. You'll admit that there are people who are more preoccupied with finding games at good prices than they are with playing them, though? *cough steam sales cough*
  2. AH, the travails of a bandwagon-jumper!
  3. You forgot the personal attacks on people who like the games, such as yourself. *shrug*, I found a lot to like in da2 in spite of its flaws, which obviously impacts my attitude. That was also me not defending Bioware, that was me giving my semi-informed opinion on da2s development issues while pointing out the connections between dao and dai. I'd get disbarred if I defended somebody like that Edit: I actually only realized that the post thing was supposed to be a defence of bioware? More like an opportunity to use it regardless of the connection, but then again I think a lot of people spend way too much time thinking about the actual act of buying a game
  4. Oh dear, the shill theory comes again. I am and will remain for the foreseeable future an attorney specializing in complex liability issues.
  5. Some of you guys spend so much time sitting on fences one would think you enjoy having a post up your ass
  6. Not a cent. I live in the wondrous world of software development Ouch.
  7. I recommend going back to Witch Hunt and the other later DLCs for DAO. They have numerous references... to DAI, not DA2. I CBA to put the sources together, but basically DA2 was supposed to be a smaller game, more like a standalone expansion, to prevent the Mass Effect and Dragon Age teams from having identical dev cycles. Then somebody* had the idea of labeling it "2" and driving the dev team to make it a full-price game... resulting in what I view as the sole critical failure of the game, the artificial stretch from reusing the same areas over and over. So, in a lot of ways, this is the DAO sequel that was originally supposed to be, with DA2 a slight excursion in the middle. *Most will say that this was evil overlord EA, I will assume it was the docs.
  8. Here's the pc gameplay stream from earlier today: http://www.twitch.tv/bioware/c/5289519
  9. Honestly, once you check everything out, there's nothing more to do until November 18th.I'm not sure you seem to grasp the concepts of beta testing or ndas. Unfortunately I can't explain them in detail in this case without violating mine. I didn't give away any information, and most people just want in to "be in". Well, they're breaking their beta test agreement then, aren't they? Besides, what you're saying isn't even true.

  11. 26yo cask strength Port Ellen (bottled in 2006). 40 euros for 4cl and totally worth it.
  12. Yeah, works on ps3/x360 hardware, recommends PS4/Xbone. Surprise, surprise.
  13. Not as far as I know and my money is on there not being any until release. IIRC they said they are going to show some in the next gameplay video, so next week, I guess? (Edit: On Monday's Twitch Stream). (How much do you owe me?)
  14. I'd bang both. I'm sure Woldan appreciates the sentiment.
  15. I'm not an expert on mental illnesses but aren't schizos extremely dangerous? Schizophrenia in combination with other disorders and experiences can be very dangerous. But it's a mistake to treat 'crazy people' as always dangerous. It's not fair on them, and you'll really miss out on knowing some interesting people. That's what this forum is for.
  16. What if you're on the fence and want more info? To go with this, have any abilities been revealed for specializations? Playing an Arcane Warrior in DAO was fun and it would be great to know what the new analogue is like. I think the answer to that is self-explanatory, as someone on the fence doesn't show up to whine over imagined past slights or just to stir **** up. Though there's an entertainment value in itself to both these groups, as we've just seen.
  17. Based on some of the public announcements on the bioware forums, the keep does a lot more than I thought it would (ie. imports all the data from the old bsn site)
  18. Yeah, my experiences with ad hoc parties were pretty dire towards the end, I just don't see myself coming back, no matter how interesting the new content is, unless I suddenly find a magical group of cool semi-casual people who are online at the same times I am. .P
  19. A wise Swedish man (ok, who am I kidding, it was Mkreku) once told me that if you are not interested in a game, why don't you stfu and strop crapping in a thread. I've found his suggestion to be an excellent one and urge everybody else to follow it too.
  20. Yes, the evasion ability, which that person seemed to be fond of spamming. But anything for a whine, I guess...
  21. Hopefully there's some way of respeccing not associated with any DLC like previous offerings of the Dragon Age series. Wasn't the black emporium project $ 10, though? So, yes, technically dlc, but...
  22. I think that the local fashion sense - or lack of it - is encapsulated in the fact that I went for a hike today in black Salomon Quests, digital woodland trousers and field cap, black mirror wraparound Oakleys and a dayglo orange goretex jacket and absolutely nobody even batted an eyelash.
