I'd say it's a given. More interesting to see if it's going to come out when ALL the DLC is out (like DAO would seem to be), or at just some random stage (like the ME1 x360 version did)...

I didn't see casting time or cool down, but the PC was a fighter. The part I saw looked a great deal like Dynasty Warriors gameplay. Leaked german vid. There's clearly cooldown in the very video you linked! It looks 'faster', but apart from that, the basic gui setup etc. seems to be pretty similar to what the DAO console versions were. Doesn't look like the rumored hit 'x' to swing sword is there, either. Now we'll just have to see what the PC version looks like.

That's just to censor the naked tiefling babes on the right side of the screen!

Ug, thats what Im afraid of. Ill probably buy it "just to have it", and see what all the hubbub was about from you guys. There are still people here who haven't played Torment? It's compulsory playing material, heathen! Never got it to work properly on the (only) windows PC I've owned (from 2004 to 2007). Pretty sure tried it via bootcamp on the Macbook, but refused to boot on that, as well. So, no, I haven't played it either

Please. This crowd was worrying about Dragon Age 2 before it was even announced. This will follow the pattern of DA:O - [Long period where we mostly speculate it will suck] -> [short period where it comes out, we play it, and mostly like it.] -> [Long period where we realize the 1,001 flaws it has and complain about them.] This sequence is as inevitable as the sun rising and setting. /thread ... /forum? 'cept you forget the ->[status where we deny ever having liked it]

TBH, there are people on this very page who I've never seen say anything positive about the game, yet they keep posting in ME2 threads six months after it was released. I liked it when it came out, and it's probably now in my top3 most played games ever (with BG2 and Might & Magic II)... Hassat: A lot of people have come to the same conclusion as you. I, for one, am hoping that they'll manage to pull their heads out of their collective asses regarding the vehicle bits and actually manage to find something good for the third one - I think they failed a bit to see what the Mako backlash was about, or they scrapped it entirely simply because of the negative press that was related to it (instead of improving on it). -
Considering that it wasn't exactly underpowered to begin with, this is a major fear I share with you. I also agree with what most of you people are saying here, but I think it's more a testament of how leery I've been of the game that I'm now viewing it in a better light than I used to. And is that sword really bigger than in DAO? I've been playing a 2-hander char lately, and those sticks seem to be pretty much in line with the one here. And, I think this is from the 'overkill' intro they've been demoing... I guess it would be a nice touch if the sword was bigger in the embellished version :D (I wish...)

I think the point here is how he extolls the Activision family as a good workplace, a cites Infinity Ward as an example. -
Actually, it looks like the kids did break the law in this case, as well. Not saying I really disagree with you otherwise, or that it's a particularly good law.

Kotick slams EA EA slams Kotick I exhaled some pepsi while reading Kotick's opening salvo (it's bordering on self-irony), so I'm going to mark that as EA 1 - 0 Kotick. -
Well the 'it works almost instantly' approach can be seen here pretty well. I'm moving back to the cautiously optimistic state...

Setting up for the inevitable secret Prothean superweapon that is used to destroy the Reapers in ME3. Clearly the idea is to keep the Protheans at the forefront (as they were in the DLC). But yeah, the massive team-building that leads into the shortish (I still like it though, but I think I'm a total ME2 fanboy, so...) suicide mission is kind of skewed. If they start blank slate for ME3, it's going to be even odder. -
Yeah, a lot of them, I was a prosecutor. They all knew that if they'd pulled a stunt like that around here, they would have been unemployed and probably imprisoned. Just like I knew that if I'd signed an arrest warrant for my ex's current, I would've been boned.

What about a police officer who pretends to be a person? Instead of a mindless tool for suppressing the proletariat? (just standing in for LoF here)

No reason to wonder, last time I looked nobody was claiming otherwise.

Agreed. I just bought and downloaded the game from GoG and it looks terrible. I made it past character creation and buying a few things at the inn in the beginning before I had to turn it off lest it destroy all fond memories I have of the game. Can't you circumvent the rez with just the wide screen patch (and some gui hack), or is my memory really that faulty? When I last tried to get BG1 up and running, the G3 widescreen patch was working only with the 6-CD original version of BG1+TOTSC. If you had the 3-CD "The Original Saga" publication (as I do), your only options were the BG2-conversion mods. However, the newest update to the patch claims to have fixed this issue, making it compatible with the GOG version. Try it out and see. (explanation). I actually have a DVD version of BG1. (And the original 6cd version... for Mac OS 9 ) That was more academic, as in my recollection being that tutu is not required for widescreen/higher resolutions. Don't need the extra time sink now so no plans for reinstalling at the moment.

Since we touched the subject of Industrial , do you know where I could buy Razed in Black albums? http://www.discogs.com/artist/Razed+In+Black Looks like they have 434 albums for sale. I'm sure you'll find one there. Also amazon.com for both physical copies and digital, itunes for digital. Those were the first three places I looked at and all carried them - I'd guess there would be other options too. I hope they weren't on the 'ungettable' list...

The last time I bought a physical album was in July (it was a gift though - I bought one for myself in May), the last complete digital album was on the 22nd... And yeah, I do have Spotify, too.

Now you're just changing the discussion. DRM is not the solution. Also, good job rationalising your music piracy above. The 'simply wrong' argument never fails. Of course I can't speak for all indie labels out there, I know I've always managed to find good samples of the stuff I buy, before I have to. Maybe the industrial scene is just exceptionally well directed towards the web due to the ideology behind.

Use? Or abuse? Also 'lol' at citing kids for underage sex. Our legal system might be perfect, but thankfully sex is decriminalised between people of a similar age, no matter what the age of consent...
