  1. So Kosovo is full of Islamic terrorists now...? Um... *dumbfounded* I was a lot more entertained by the claim that Serbs have been "always at least friendly, if not outright allies", tbh.
  2. In case you haven't noticed, I kind of like to poke holes at what I perceive as black-and-white "groupthink" (or the elitist snobism, but that would be like trying to stop a train by jumping in front of it). Some people have referred to it as trolling, I like to think it's more like a Socratic method for improving you as people. So yeah, I was kidding (but honestly, even the AI had a lot of stuff that was really cool and new to me at the time, even if the combat behaviour was kind of... lame). It's just one of those games were I consider the good to outstrip the bad by such a wide margin that I honestly think anyone complaining about things (especially considering the age) just needs a smack on the head. And just in case my stand isn't on record, I use a PC, and x360 and a PS3 for gaming, but have a slight preference for the PS3 (mostly because it DOES do nearly everything:P)
  3. Activision Suing EA Over Call of Duty Scuffle
  4. "Put him in a bag, I want no-one to see this!". Looks like we have our share of the "konsole kiddies" who found the DX mechanic too complicated... DX clumsy and awkward? Lies!
  5. I have really big hopes Squeenix is going to test that theory at some point.
  6. Did we have this already: http://kotaku.com/5715110/dragon-age-ii-on...-that-different ?
  7. Took advantage of it, too. The sale, I mean.

    Korea

Well that was predictable, I guess ROK/US called their bluff. Either that or there's some back room deal that gave Kim what he wanted (Japanese showgirls?). Or a phone call from Beijing.
  9. Yeah, the people who use glorified typewriters for gaming want to know! Oh yeah, or overpriced dvd players!
  10. Did I say something to upset you...? Now you'll never know! *manic laughter*
  11. never mind, let's not be grumpy.
  12. I think the vid from a couple of pages ago shows about how far back it pulls. It's further and higher than KOTOR, but not full-on NWN/"BG style". Edit: Probably we came on the reason for limiting friendly fire to just Nightmare/some other higher difficulty?
  13. She could have done him a favor and said 'no' with no room for interpretation though. Letting someone who is obsessed and in love just run with it, it's never pretty. And yet so common.
  14. It's a press event. With Ray and Greg. In public. With a lot of "journalists" in earshot. I mean I know we're not big fans of black people around here but geez. Incidentally, Bitmob has a nice profile on the dude, who seems like your average fan. The best thing about him is that you can't endlessly bitch about how he's not a "game journalist" and how "game journalism" is a sham, because he doesn't walk around with that pretension. And really, what other commentator can you name who would call out Bioware's brand new mechanic as indebted to another recently released game, to their faces, at a press conference? Homework assignment: Go around looking at other sites who mention it and see if they do. Bet you they don't! Cuz they're impartially reporting on the genius of Bioware. Get this guy into the White House Press Corps (or maybe not, cuz he's black). Thanks for fixating on what I said before I saw the video and changed my opinion on the matter. I could quote my revised comments for your convenience, but I won't, because my landlord's having brilliant xmasy ideas and I'm feeling pissy.
  15. From what I've heard, women also have better hand-eye coordination. Because they are always so busy doing their nails That wasn't very funny, it was just the first image that popped into my head. That's probably better than the one I had.
  16. Mmh. I still doubt that it's going to go full-on Alpha Protocol. More like there will be some choices that need to be made within a certain time limit (like the nuke abort codes in one of the N7 missions).
  17. You stood it four minutes and fifty five seconds longer than I could. Yeah. I feel like my human rights were violated by the site. That said, the answer was pretty unequivocal. I guess we'll see what the extent is.
  18. No, I haven't watched the 1h+ video. I tried watching it for about five minutes, but then I decided that I'd rather stick my head in a gas oven. If there's a specific spot I should suffer through, please point it out so I can have a more informed opinion. Also, if the above quote is it, they're saying it's a neat feature, but not that they are using it. I think they said that Kinect and Move are cool, but that they won't be using those either.
  19. Source has 0 credibility. Moving on until a more serious source appears.
  20. Ok, we're talking about a group defined as "consumers over 13" and how much "digital content" they download. I wouldn't start using this data to support that a) DLC is unpopular or really even that b) PC users buy more DLC. I blew away my own expectations by buying most of it twice. I dunno, the last time I played it, it was more an obsession with getting that "perfect, how I envisioned it" run for DA2. Not really an enjoyment, and I'm still sore over the peasant revolt thing (I have no idea whether it bugs or just tracks some variables that make ME2's hold the line seem like a piece of cake to reverse-engineer)
  21. Is this crowd big enough to be considered to exist? I think that we he says "BG crowd", he means just himself. And maybe Sorophx, but primarily himself. 'Coz I for one have not found liking BG(1-2) and, say ME1-2 mutually exclusive. I'll refer to Purkake's twinky comment re: DAO, had fun while it lasted, gave me indigestion afterwards.
  22. I think it's just a matter of resources. BioWare has the manpower and EA will be willing to put money in the developement. And ME is using the Unreal Engine (like GoW), which supports multiplayer and even co-op. I don't see the problem with co-op. The host will play Sheppard and two other players can join to play the companions. Unnnnlikely. If there's going to be multiplayer, it's going to be straight out of the CoD/MoH team/progression military shooter book, probably with an entirely different progression etc.
  23. Wedgie? Sorry, I only talk with adults.
  24. Just to clarify: are you one of those permanently "depressed" people? I dunno. Are you one of those permanently annoying people?
