  1. But, at least you can still feel superior to all console gamers in spite of not being able to play any games?
  2. I'd draw the line at "any game that crashes repeatedly on a console is lacking in polish". Both AP and out-of-the-box FONV did this. And I mean REPEATEDLY.
  3. In the real world (that's outside this forum), you'll find that describing most games.
  4. Well, I guess I'll have to open my mind a bit and take a look at it at some point.
  5. Honestly, what I know of the first two Dungeon Sieges has put it in the pile "games, that I won't get no matter who the developer is". Right next to Sonic Chronicles.
  6. And I'm saying that there are enough credible people supporting the concept of global warming, and not enough credible people opposing it, for me to take the risk. Unequivocal proof can only be had when it's too late, so... Living in an area where you can essentially see the effect of Gulf stream every day, it's hardly a groundbreaking thought to me that an overall warming is going to inevitably create a) "strange" weather phenomena b) not necessarily make it warmer everywhere. FWIW, I don't own a car and pay a little extra in my electric bill for wind energy. Motivates me to save, anyway.
  7. Yeah, and the only people who disagree with it are monetarily motivated, corporate scientists. Between the two, I know who to believe. Of course, it's always EASIER to believe the side that tells you everything is ok, please keep consuming more, right?
  8. Day1: Dragon Age 2 Deus Ex Human Revolution Mass Effect 3 Maybe/probably: LA Noire Portal 2 Witcher 2
  9. I can think of one thing: remove the average joe's unfounded scorn for and distrust of science. Nah, as long as some people let corporations do their thinking for them, nothing of the kind will happen. Have a prozac, be happy.
  10. Considering picking up CoH for my RTS fix. I know we have some (rabid) fans here, is there a particular version/expansion I should definitely pick up?
  11. I'm pretty sure it was only supposed to be 7 euros. Total Amount:
  12. Never been a Christmas person, sure it was like the second birthday as a kid, but my "gift haul" was always very modest compared to everybody around. I didn't get the huge piles of loot everybody else was getting, even as a kid. (I got my first gaming console when I was 23 and paid for it with my own money. Apparently you need to have at least two at fifteen or you're nobody...) But yeah, lots of happy memories as a kid, lots of looking broke people throw away insane amounts of money on an older age. That said, I enjoy buying things for people who are important to me (more than I enjoy getting things from them, in fact. Though it's nice to be remembered. or would be.). Unfortunately, that's a pretty short list these days. Mostly spend Christmas with my mother these days, as my father is with his new family. Good time for winding down a bit.
  13. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The new DLC cars and events are fun, even though 13 events and 3 cars (well, 6 if you consider the racer and cop versions separate) for ~10 euros is a bit much... Still happy with my purchase, both the game and the DLC, as I decided to play "just one event" three hours ago... This game can really pull a Civilization on you.
  14. I agree. It appears to be present on the PC version now too
  15. That's actually the one thing the console versions did better. They had a separate "trash" group for gear, you could flag stuff as garbage and just dump them at the nearest convenient store. Helped a lot with the management, really missed it on the PC.
  16. Guess we'll have to discount FONV, too, with the single-platform DLC n' all.
  17. This is more related to ME3, so I'll post it here: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalf...2-demo-analysis I tried it out myself, and mostly noticed the same things they bring up here. VO sounded better, but I guess they could just be using losslessly compressed audio on the PS3 side due to the extra disc space. Main advantage of PS3 version appeared to be better textures on squadmate uniforms, disadvantage frequent tearing (that could be due to the demo code). Anyway, if interested, see link.
  18. Is everybody ignoring me here? Does that mean I can do all kinds of shenanigans and you won't see those, either?
  19. Paging TheHarlequin to this thread to explain the value of wikipedia as a source.
  20. ....what's there to giggle about? I bet they like to braid each others hair. lol girls r funny
  21. I'd say that Tito-> is already a long-enough chunk of time for the present discussion.
