Still enjoying what was IMO the best part of Mass Effect 3 - its soundtrack, the best in the series, even better than the awesome first one:

Are you still in Finnish Innsmouth(Finnsmouth?)? If so,they may suspect you are a fishman.Innsmouth was just a one-week thing, they ran out of lawyers for the case and had to import. I've tried to think of a suitable comparison for this place, but really can't. Some administrative center in rural ~Minnesota with a bunch of zombies on the streets? The horror here is less one of ancient decay and more of present-day desperation and hopelessness. Living Dead, I guess? Also at work, slightly hung over. If I may take a stab at a comparison... Day in and day out you go to work, going nowhere but feeling yourself slowly deteriorating into the carcass that will be there when you die. You find yourself constantly telling yourself you'll get your **** together, lose some weight, or any other wishful thinking that you never actually do. You focus on some decisions you made, thinking that if you had made a different choice you wouldn't be in this ****. You feel yourself becoming increasingly bitter, till all joy is drained from you and you're a hollow shell of a man. In the end you finally wear down to the point where you no longer care and eat lead. In short, it's the bad office job expanded into a town. The paragraph in the middle described my day-to.day existence. The town is less about that, few people here have work of any kind and the ones that do, it's not in an office.

I was under the impression that was league-wide, though.

I'll have to check that one out, Beckham was supposed to be a really hot prospect. AFAIK he was the only one the Saints really "courted" pre-draft, but it was a long shot he would fall even to the trade up territory where they got a similar-ish guy in Cooks...

Failed to get a job in Helsinki I assumed I would get - didn't even get interviewed, in the end. Now proceeding to get sadly drunk via "Original Long Drink" aka grapefruit soda and gin aka gay beer.

Interesting day in court. No matter how you prepare for all the eventualities, either the process or the end result is always something you didn't expect.

... Jimmy Graham took a hit to the shoulder, went out for x-rays and never came back... p.s. Another "just barely" win, and I think Goodwin and Keenan Lewis were also out by the end of the game. Good time for a bye week, if this'd kept going, Austin Johnson would've been the only healthy starter.

Soo, after having no defense or special teams in the first 4 games, the offense having gotten worse by the game, the Saints lost Jairus Byrd for the season after a practice injury. In addition to the known quantities of a suspect cb2, kicker, inside linebackers and no kick returner, nose tackles and ALL linebackers have completely failed to deliver or even show up. I look forward to today's game in the same way I look forward to a dentist. The sooner it starts, the faster it'll be over

I prefer the other kind of cheesecake.

I must have raised skimming to an art form, I didn't even notice them until I accidentally mass effect 3. Now it's like one of those itches that only shows up when you have a calm moment.

So much neckbeard

Hurlie and Raithe keep pwning this thread, albeit from different angles. Edit: While I'm here...

It's pretty impressive, isn't it?

I think I saw these as the multiplayer chars, so probably them.

This. I think it's the only (new) game I've gotten all year. Need to get shadwgåte and mebbe wasteland at some point, since I've already paid for them, anyway...

I believe it has been said they would not be releasing such a thing or a demo ("Demo? Wot's dat?"), though this is information that I only learned secondhand. However, considering they did not release it for Dragon Age 2 that's something I would say with fairly high confidence will not happen.Yeah, and they really shot themselves in the foot with the da2 demo!

I've had that happen too with an Ikea chair. Only buy Finnish chairs now (home and office), for some reason it's the only thing of quality they still make here.

I guess they are to be ragey as they victimize him like all Bioware folk ? Twitter post was funny, though. "My new job: I am very pleased to announce that I am CD PROJEKT RED's new Community Manager for North America! I get to work on The Witcher!" Yeah, "get to work on". So he goes from the SJW re-education centre to the manly man cave of CDProjekt Red? Will he implode when he sees a boobie card? Will Dave Gaider ever whatsapp him again? Will Evil Chris 'work on' anything other than trying to wrangle mad online fan-morlochs? He probably had to go because of the Christy Hemme pictures on his office walls in the first place
-
I wish I cared enough to go find out cdprojekt fanboys' reaction to "evil" Chris Priestly becoming their community manager...

Good luck saving the damsels there, sir Bruce. Meanwhile, I'm at work with a splitting headache. Going to be secretary-less for the next month or so. Headdesk.

Yeah, strange year so far. Will have to watch that one when I get home. Carolina were pretty good last year, and while they had that wide receiver issue, in the ~2 games I've watched, Kelvin Benjamin and their other receivers haven't been the issue. They have an awesome defense. The Atlanta Failclowns had simply a really bad year after a really good one and were major rebound candidates. Saints mercilessly cut some of their old faithfuls to make cap space for Byrd and to move on from a lot of the guys who'd either been poor scheme fits (apparently Malcolm Jenkins) or had their glory days over (Moore) or approaching it (Sproles - I don't doubt the Saints front office knew he still had a good year in him, but I bet they counted on just the one when they traded him). Tampa is, indeed, in a clear rebuilding year, but it's starting to look like so are the saints. Where the Saints plan seems to have backfired is their lack of no2 corner - their second round pick still probably has a brilliant future ahead of him, but to protect the most valuable asset of a cornerback, his self-confidence, they haven't activated him once during the season. Seriously, Shayne Graham needs to go, everybody knew he was a liability already after last season and he proved it for the second week in a row. The linebackers, apart from Lofton, are dire, and the safeties are so busy making up for deficiencies at LB and CB you couldn't tell that you have two all-pro caliber guys there. At this point, I'd get whichever veteran kicker who hasn't killed himself over the past week and Pat Angerer on the team ASAP - if for no other reason, than to make the risk of jobs more immediate for those on the bubble... In fact, there seems to be a general paralysis on the team, they've made no roster moves even though they were just barely able to even dress 47 guys. They have two guys on the active roster (Lorig and Ball) who haven't even played for most of preseason! I mean, even if they are projected for the bye week, that's not exactly going to smoothly integrate them... and Austin Johnson's been pretty good as FB. Looks like they've been so confident in their own ability, they've simply failed to adjust for injuries and deficiencies on some areas of the defense, at least until now.

Kaftan Ballast? I always thought it was an euphemism for a putative massive schlong.

OTOH, when somebody called Josh Hill is you MVP two games straight, you really are hosed. Canal Street Chronicles MVP vote has one option for last night's game: "Nobody", which is true and unfair on poor Josh, who's at least working hard for his minimum wage. The NFC-S collapse is interesting, it is (was) on paper, the second toughest division in the league after NFC-W. I actually had no idea the other teams were doing that badly, I've been on reduced football time for two weeks due to the bar exam and court today.

Half expected it to be the case myself, even if I did hold out hope that we would see the Origins PC in Inquisition. There were lots of voice options for the PC (granted it was only generic combat banter), meaning that Bioware would have had to record tons of lines for all the different potential voices players could have chose from Origins, unless they simply went with recording at best one set of dialogue for each of the races. Then there was the dialogue choices through which players could shape the Warden's personality, though those choices didn't really have any bearing on how people reacted to your PC in the game, nor were these choices likely flagged for a future installment of the series (unlike 2 in which the game actively tracked the bias of dialogue choices and adjusted reactions to Hawke and even his/her party banter dialogue accordingly). Mmh, probably that, or a voice per gender per background at most. Even that would be quite a bit, I see absolutely no reason for them to look at the AI barks for a ground though. Purely academic at this point, I guess. I'm having a hard time caring about this game, tbh. I assume it's going to be like DA2, which I played during my worst fantasy burnout and found generally enjoyable, since I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. I've though the NPC selection seems pretty dire this time around, but then I remembered I basically used Aveline, Isabela, Varric and7or Bethany whenever I could, Anders when I was forced to (by lack of Bethany). In fact, Mass Effect remains the only Bioware game that I've completed with essentially every party member available. I think I can scrape an interesting party from the DAI NPCs, though just barely, tbh.
