RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Yeah, what do they know, being plumbers and all. How many languages do you know by the way? There's always going to be a difference in writing in your native language and some other. From personal experience, I'd say it's a massive one. According to my boss, I'm exceptionally adept in my native language (Finnish), and I do have essentially every possible qualification a foreigner can get in English, but the differences between the two are absolutely staggering. (And for the e-peens, I speak a total of 7 languages).

God, that really is a terrible list. If that's all there is to look forward to the rest of this year, with regards to RPGs, I'm going to be playing everything *except* RPGs. I was actually just thinking of what games I'm currently looking forward to getting... and it was a short list. In fact, there wasn't a list at all. Can't remember the last time it's been like this...- What are you playing now?
OTOH, it's the only game on the PS3 (and 1 out of 3 in general) that I have Platinum/100 % on. So I guess it was right up my alley.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Yes. It didn't.- Piracy
Oh, right, that horse was dead. NM!- The Joy of Human Rights - The EU Way..
Well, the Council of Europe was founded with the Treaty of London, so maybe you should accept the blame for it and just whip out that old stiff upper lip and concentrate on the bollocks that Brussels is making of everything? It's not like most of Western Europe has a problem with excessively high voter turnouts, either. Maybe only happy when we reach the U.S. levels of disinterest?- Movies you've seen recently
He was also a character named "Jesus" in one of those Mel Gibson snuff films. And he got hit by lightning during the filming of said film. He's also a devout christian, but won't push his beliefs on other people and actually learned Aramaic for the role, not just reading the phrases out loud or such. Won't push them on other people, apart from vetoing Dagmara Dominczyk's nude scene in said Count of Monte Cristo. I bear him a lot of resentment over this fact.- The Joy of Human Rights - The EU Way..
The EU doesn't have a human rights court, in fact it has nothing to do with this. The Eurocracy might be a bunch of ****-ups, but let's keep the stuff the Council of Europe does out of their list of sins. For reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Council_of_Europe- Movies you've seen recently
Or the nookie. He was dating Grace Jones before he started in movies, ffs.- What are you playing now?
Only if you play it in DX9... I'm playing it in DX11. Between the yellowness, the ghastly character models and the bland locations, I see nothing aesthetically redeeming about it. Horrible art direction. I'm having a lot of fun, though. I liked the art direction.- Mass Effect 3

Hopefully gonna get to do some of this the next weekend. I hear from friends that my server's pretty dead, but I think we're on the same level range so at least we'll be able to do some of the smaller heroics...- Microsoft to buy Nokia?
Nokia had 22 000 employees in Finland two years ago and they've been firing people left and right since then. I assume the logistics company Itella (formerly Finnish post, now having branched out into a lot of things) is now the biggest employer in Finland. I'm not sure how many people depend on Nokia indirectly at the moment, they're terminating their last production facilities in Finland, so it's basically just admin and R&D that's left. Not to say that their impact on Finnish economy isn't significant due to the corporate taxes they pay (or don't pay, when they do poorly), but your numbers seem to have been pulled (deep) from ze ass. In fact, there's a popular conspiracy theory that the current (incompetent) CEO, a former Microsoft executive, is a Trojan horse sent to run down the company so that Microsoft can acquire Nokia's manufacturing know-how for peanuts.- Mass Effect 3

Heh, Acti keeps to CoD because they ran all their other franchises to ground with the same approach. But it seems to be working for them, for the moment at least.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Or won't, depending on their level of delusion. Meanwhile, EA's trying to be the good guys now that acti's in the doghouse for a change. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-05-18-ea-to-waive-origin-distribution-fees-for-all-kickstarter-games- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
As long as the Microsoft company line is that blu-ray is obsolete and will be replaced in the near future fully by digital downloads, I don't see it happening. I assume their R&D staff are from the Nordic countries, or some other equally civilised place with no bandwidth limits.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
He was writing background lore, not the actual game. Also, the jury's still out on Salvatore's ability to write.- What are you playing now?
Witcher 2 here, as well. I find the core gameplay a bit boring and enjoyment of story is lessened by not having played the first game (considerably, I suspect). Still, am enjoying it, but more at the 7/10 level than at the omg bestest thing ever level. Unhappily the seriously impressive amount of branching in the game doesn't actually make it any more fun for me... But, yes, there's a lot of very impressive stuff in the game, I just feel that it's in some ways less than the sum of it's parts. I'll still be picking up their next game day1 in the hopes that they make it gel better, next time.- What you did today

Probably gonna start again next week. Kind of terrified of apparently having to respec my character after being gone for... ages? From before ME3 came out, at least.- The first gay president
I kind of agree with you here, I personally don't think marriage should be legislated at all, kind of like in France (where to marry, a couple undergoes the civil ceremony required by law conducted by the mayor and, if they so choose, a religious ceremony of their choice.) I've dealt with the opposite problem in heterosexual unions, where hardcore feminists refuse to marry yet insist that there should be something that is essentially the same without the label. - RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
