You get to interact with the worst of humanity. And the game encourages you to shoot them! ...Right?

Shameless shilling Friendly reminder that Aylin's giveaway stream will start in 1,5 hours so if anyone wants a free copy of SOMA, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Dak Souls 3, Stardew Valley, My Time At Portia or Alien: Isolation, do drop by!

That's not how Battle Royale works. Comments likened it to Garry's Mod Prop Hunt but the props hunt back.

That Outer Worlds trailer was really nice Obs, good job! Apart from some stuttering partway through.

Wasn't Valrak the guy who creamed himself repeatedly while playing Deathwing and seems unhealthily obsessed with "immersing" himself in the setting?

Okay, so my friend's giveaway stream will happen on the 14th of December, probably around 8-9pm GMT +0, the games being given away are the ones she played on stream.
-
I also heard he was a pretty hardcore WoW lorehead. Dunno if that translated to any actual work on WoW or not.

The gaming industry is a sad, sad mess.

Steam only sorry. Oh and the stream itself is 18+ and will probably start sometime after 8 pm GMT +0.

Btw, and I'm unsure if it's okay or not to post this here, but a friend of mine will host a giveaway stream in December. It's more fun if there's more people participating and the games are free (will likely cost channel currency to bet on a game, but you get them for just watching), so if there's interest I'd post a link later.

I'm still subscribed, just lazy with updates. And some games I can't decide if I want to keep or not. xD

See, that's exactly what I wrote about GG, in a more complicated manner. Because no, nobody cares anymore. About either of the two. Except for snowflakes. 30 years later they'll still be salty over that one time Totalbiscuit yelled at his wife in public.

Because ppl like to watch let's play videos? A series of murderporn videos featuring one NPC isn't a let's play. Nope, but nobody rose hell when Mafia 3 compilations of feeding the alligators made their way around the internet. People love to argue semantics and miss the ****ing point, he got banned because it was against feminist and Google is a leftist hive. So someone in the corporate ladder decided to use their power to dispense some social justice, which got revoked because it held no ground and should they actually enforce it they would have pissed more people than they could afford to. End of the story. I'm aware. What I was pointing out is that the guy's defense was nonsensical and self-defeating because he'd have to be retarded to make a series of videos about murderhoboing one specific -feminist- NPC in the current political/ideological climate only to then claim he's not doing anything special. As far as denials go it's pretty weakass. And as I said above, NPCs die by the millions every day. I killed a couple dozen thousand yesterday in Total Warhammer. So if his video is "just about killing an NPC" then nobody would have a reason to watch it. He was pretty much begging to get noticed and it doesn't matter if one agrees with the punishment or not, nobody should be surprised it happened in the first place.

The benefit of unique weapons, of whatever type, isn't always raw damage. Many of the unique weapons have lower or just plain different stat requirements than that of their more mundane counterparts upgraded to do a similar amount of damage. Because of the way Elex handles armor and because ranged weapons don't get combo damage buffs they way melee weapons do, I have found that below a certain damage output they are highly ineffective against many of the more armored enemies. I find that number to be around 70 or 75. Any ranged weapon with a base damage of 75 or higher is going to be highly effective against almost anything. The Redeemer has a base damage of 100, so it shreds through almost anything in just a few blasts. It does this with a stat requirement of 65 dex and 65 int. For comparison, a War Bow II, which also does 100 damage, has a stat requirement of 48 str and 71 dex, so it's more fitting for a character with a different stat build. Besides that, plasma rifles have a better rate of fire than bows, but bows have better range. The range on energy weapons is pretty piss poor, to be honest. See, that's part of my problem. The game tells you at the start that Dex governs ranged damage and approriately the bows have Dex requirements. Then you find a sexy energy weapon and not only does it require a stat it theoretically doesn't scale off of, it requires a huge investment into it. Cue my smile fading. And damage is kind of the god stat when you can't meaningfully hurt most enemies without it, not to mention saving ammo thanks to requiring less to kill something. You have the damage to kill most enemy types? Suddenly you are raking in the all xp and money. Rate of fire is pretty much a non-factor in face of that imo, even the bow's bonus range is just a cherry on top.

Funny because the Berserker Warbow, which is upgreadable, is imo flat out better than the plasma weapons, let alone the unupgreadable unique variants.
