It's hard to find your way around them rooftops when you're being chased by 10+ SWAT agents & shot by a helicopter. I always ran into a dead end at one point leading to a reload - finally stopped playing at the beginning of chapter 8, couldn't get past the enemies in the beginning. One of the more frustrating games of the recent years - I probably died more than a hundred times just trying to jump on a passing train. Good fun!

There's enough races that could be used as antagonists threatening the known galaxy -- the Borg, Tholian Assembly, Breen but most interesting would be Species 8472. The player character could be some 'veteran' or 'newbie' Starfleet officer sent off in a ship travelling around several planets looking for allies & clues on how to fight the 'evil'. Just PLEASE not another gundam Picard fanservice fest. Captain Picard.

Beats me. There is an entry in the Codex that states that all genetic diseases were a thing of the past due to genetic manipulation in the womb. Maybe Joker's parents were a bit conservative.

Seemed like all NPCs, even the Krogan, had a sad sob-story. Taking this into regard, it's surprising there were so few romance options.

I'd prefer something more alike to Deep Space: Nine. Getting thrown on some remote planet/space station and dealing with pretty much everything ranging from political intrigue, over-sexed Betazoids to an alien threat from an unknown part of the galaxy for instance the obscure Tholian Assembly or the Breen.

As much as I like Star Trek, I'd prefer a Dune RPG.

What do you mean? You don't like point & click? Anyway, as highly regarded as TLJ is, Broken Sword 1 > TLJ in every aspect.

It's perhaps for the best that Bethesda's writing is horrible, otherwise BioWare might have been put out of business long ago. That said, Michael Kirkbride was a good Bethesda writer. He cooked up a large amount of lore and wrote a lot of in-game books. Same goes for Julian LeFay, who practically invented the Elder Scrolls. EDIT: And indeed, TLJ was great. It's practically the Planescape: Torment of adventure games.
