  1. Is that American McGee's Alice a sequel? Looks great, but what's with the undead card soldiers?
  2. Is that Resident Evil 5? If yes, where's the chick?
  3. Dungeon crawls are fine as long as the level and/or encounter design is top notch. If BioWare improves on that, I'm interested. Massive incline of BioWare.
  4. Gygax himself created the drow, Ed Greenwood fleshed them out. Salvatore only created Drizzt, the first 'good' Drow.
  5. Or maybe a "Raging Boll" Barbarian/Monk special encounter.
  6. I hope DS3 will feature an Uwe Boll easter egg. I was thinking of an in-game NPC similar to Baldur's Gate's "Noober" and Baldur's Gate 2's "Neeber". Only that would faithfully convey how one generally feels about the man.
  7. The trial is one of the worst parts of NWN2, imho. No matter how brilliantly you use dialogue checks and humiliate Torio, you're railroaded into fighting that fat lump anyway. Why even bother holding a trial if everything can get decided with a barbaric duel? Dragon Age's Landsmeet is the same silliness. 1. Change difficulty from hardcore rules to normal. 2. Put Qara in party 3. Fireball! 4. ... 5. Profit Yeah sure, until Kelemvor appears in the game and renders the entire story superfluous.
  8. R.A. Salvatore writing a Tolkienesque history of a fantasy world?
  9. Aerie is frickin awesome, she can solo the game without even trying. Just play with a female <CHARNAME> to avoid the stupid come-ons. I had recently replayed throughout BG saga, so 'twas pretty easy. I didn't remember squat from PS:T though.
  10. Are all those red-marked areas to be visited in DA2?
  11. Thanks a lot, man. That's thirty minutes laughing like a t***. Anybody who dares question the innate awesomeness of the Internet needs to read that thread! That thread serves as a good reminder to never ever put a pic of yourself on teh internetz.
  12. Very nice game, I enjoyed it a lot.
  13. I actually had a thing for a supermarket girl myself when I was at university, until I discovered she had rotten teeth when I finally got her to smile. The infatuation ended right there.
  14. "Hey, Mr Freeman, here you go! You're my hero!!!" *flying mixers of lacerating doom enter room* "Gaaaah!!!!! Get out Mr Freeman, while you still can" "AAARGGHH!!!" Painkiller > Half Life 2
  15. At least in BG encounters with goblins, Orcs, lizardmen & other trash mobs were over in five seconds once your party was high level. In DA:O, this is not the case due to the level scaling. Only way to shorten combat is develop a mage to be able to cast Storm of the Century or endlessly spam Cone of Cold... which makes the game even more repetitive than it would be if one would deal with the mobs in a conventional matter.
  16. The fact that the mobs are smaller on console and that combat is less complex, is imo quite a boon, though. It makes combat be over much quicker, which is quite a blessing.
  17. Fable 3? Looking great. Since it seems to take place in an 18th century like Albion, I wonder how prevalent magic will be. Molyneux going steampunk?
  18. Apart from lack of memory leaks, how was the console version superior?
  19. That would be the black smurfs:
  20. what is this i don't even
  21. Peyo is rolling in his grave.
  22. Yeh, Gaider should really use that. That would at least explain the existence of oafs like Cailan & Alistair.
  23. *cough* A song of ice and fire *cough*
  24. Dave really showed Ed Greenwood how to create a unique, compelling & detailed fantasy setting.
