  1. So how about that sequel, Ubisoft?
  2. Good lord. That was the game that made Witchaven look like a work of genius. Battlespire was awesome. You played as friggin Divayth Fyr himself.
  3. Our universe may have well been created by another LHC 13.7 billion years ago.
  4. She wasn't at the beaches, she was dropped in behind the lines to basically wreak havoc with her team (which included a guy who could talk to the dead, a guy who could control bees... and spit them out of his mouth as bullets, a guy with a jetpack and an ancient guy who literally would sleep as much as he could to preserve his life as long as he could). ... So there are people that take this series seriously? Japan cannot into European history.
  5. Wait... what were women doing on the beaches of Normandy?
  6. She's "The" commando in the games history. She created Close Quarters Combat, basically created all the special forces techniques, and was a soldier her entire life. Jack Churchill is rolling in his grave.
  7. Why does the guy on the left have breasts? That's a guy? Remember, this is Japan.
  8. The DA developers seem like a bunch of laid-back people with a good sense of humour. From the few ME dev posts I've read, they seemed quite a bit different, rage-quitting in topics, etc.
  9. Literally Drakensang in name only. Only cRPG with DSA license left, is Demonicon (whose development has been secured as of late).
  10. The only hope for those games is that Bethesda releases them for free on their website, like with Arena & Daggerfall. Redguard was awesome, the only Bethesda game with good melee combat.
  11. I'm still playing Two Worlds. Game is pretty fun but alchemy skill is ridiculous; I had to quit playing and restart because I had broken the game with permanent effect potions previously, raising my character's protection & attributes to god-like level (leading to clearing out entire Orc war camps naked with barely taking any damage). Without alchemy, my level 50 character still gets one-shotted by certain enemies if he's not careful. Only gripe about the game is the need to scour merchants periodically in order to upgrade one's weapons & equipment. It gets tedious very fast. The same goes for the magic cards, not to mention that pure damage spells are very much inferior compared to the power of summoned creatures & archery/melee, making a nuke mage pretty redundant; melee combat has good animations, but it is a bit too much the same click & dodge-fest as Gothic 3 (but at least it's not the clunky mess as in Risen). I'm curious how these issues will be dealt with in the sequel.
  12. It's the Final Fantasy 7 of the West.
  13. As stated before, the video is from the embellished part of the storyline told by the fat dwarf, where all darkspawn practically die in one hit (or blow up when FemHawke sneezes at them). The player in the video didn't even pause the game, giving the impression of a straight-to-bargain-bin slasher. If the first gameplay video of DA:O would've been the battle in front of the Denerim gates, where legions of darkspawn die in one hit as well, reactions would've been the same. I'm curious to seeing an official gameplay video featuring a non-embellished part; two-handed sword animations better be not as slow as in DA:O. And on another note, Lair of the Shadowbroker reveals that Garrus suffers from some pretty major mommy issues. Nobody escapes Freud in a BioWare game.
  14. They should have put the blue Mutant on the cover. Saviour of the MMO, lolwut.
  15. They should add Drakan: Order of the Flame & Tomb Raider: the Last Revelation + Chronicles. My discs are scratched. Also, Rune & Heavy Metal FAKK 2. Those games are a ********* to run on Vista.
  16. in my case that's because it took me six months to finish the game it was so bad, I had to take a break from it midway through
  17. No delay in casting is a very large advantage to the mage, at any rate. In DA:O, the time it took to prepare a fireball usually meant the mooks already reached the party before you were ready. It's a very large advantage if you can immediately throw one at them... not to mention with the knock-down effect it should mean by the time the mooks are up again, you can launch another one.
  18. Won't magic even be more overpowered if the spells are cast as soon as you press the button? Doesn't matter if they tone down the damage, if you can just "spell trigger" fireballs, etc.
  19. I'm more interested whether the game will still be party-based or is the number of followers limited to one,
  20. I'm looking forward to what excuse BioWare will come up with next to go running around X planets and shoot up Reaper drones. I expect the Reapers to be defeated like the aliens in Independence Day, tbh. But it would be really nice if the decision surrounding the Collector base actually matters.
  21. But otoh, there's Oscuro's which basically saved the game for me. I didn't really care about the gameplay. Nothing could fix the butchered setting.
  22. What about Captain America's getting shot with a bullet in the brainpan sending him to another dimension? Or was that just back in time, too? I can never remember. Omega beams I can understand. They're like magic beams. But Cap got a bullet to the noggin. IIRC sniper used a gun made by Dr Doom that transported him through space & time... There's always a lame cop-out. Ms Marvel exploded when her energy overloaded, and she was returned by an entity called "the Storyteller".
