  1. Busting caps into wizards' asses is all part of the appeal, I agree.
  2. He should use one of the premade parties, they were cool. Especially the one with the evil dwarf rogue with crap DEX
  3. I'm playing IWD1 tonight but might catch some of it later. And watching Adam play isn't the draw, all the st00pid comments is where it's at.
  4. Intrigue at a masked ball using your skill monkey character would be most excellent, maybe stealing something or having to quietly poison a noble using Your Large Ornamental Ring full O Poison +5.
  5. * Laughs incredulously at the rest of the forum * Of course there is one logical definition of fantasy. Mine.
  6. ^ This. Which makes it even more baffling. Maybe she was rushed, or trying to be too traditional fantasy. Monte says: Polina, you are awesome, make your art fly, don't worry about us!
  7. Hmmm Florence is nice but I say Bologna. Or Sienna, perhaps. Venice FTW though, a city divided by murky canals and ruled by a decadent cabal of masked aristos would be cool.
  8. ^ No, you're right I think they've learnt from the mistakes of others who've had their fingers burnt with physical stock. I'd farm it out to a third party, take a smaller cut on merch, but not have the burden of holding stock.
  9. Epic Fail: I love Vodka, the AK, the T-34, Irina Shiek, furry hats, Onion Domes, Rasputin, Russian dolls, Baba Yaga, Cosmonauts, Yuri Gagarin, May Day Parades, Boris Yeltsin (qv, Vodka) and that slightly rsique TATU video. So there.
  10. And Ferg is completely right to see it that way. I agree entirely with the principle of early backers winning unique rewards. I'd just like to get some other stuff like maybe signed copies etc later on to reflect my contribution, not eclipse the generous folks who dug deep right now.
  11. Yes, but by opening Facebook accounts you just encourage it. And that's bad. It's the most pernicious piece of online chicanery in the history of teh internets.
  12. I IPM'd The Guildmaster about it but no reply yet *grumbles* But I can imagine a whole new funding model for niche / indie games where we effectively pay pre-release subs as part of a long-term funding strategy. I can't give Obz $1000 right now. But I can over a protracted period of time and for the right product / rewards I happily would.
  13. If I could work my way up their tiers by paying $20 a month I would.
  14. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I rather like aspects of this artist's vision of a fantasy-type firearms dude (DeviantART FTW).
  15. Hmmm try a search on her name on the forum and you will find her website linked. She does a lot of game stuff, including level design / items and they look great.
  16. Yeah the concept artist is a woman and her stuff is great. Her website gives you an idea of how awesome she is, just am a little surprised by the concept art for this guy. It's meh. We are entitled to put forward a view as the concept gives us a lot of clues as to what the designer plans for the character.
  17. We talked about this very early on: the crossbow comparison is apt. Sawyer agreed that a viable tactic is fire gun, drop it, draw melee weapon. I'd have two or even three firearms-enabled characters whose opening gambit is a volley of shot, followed by melee weapons. I suspect that this will be very useful against wizards.
  18. If it doesn't look like this I'm going to instruct my lawyers to write a very cross letter.
  19. Let's have a topless female monk, because, like the forums are a bit quiet at the moment.
