  1. A remote control tank would be much cheaper than a nine-year-old, I agree.
  2. Thanks muchly mkreku. It's OK Morgie, I don't do crow pie. Oooops! I should stop getting my gaming news from a newspaper.
  3. Obviously, my neural pathways aren't locked into the subconsciousness of the gaming hive mind like Morgie, but... An article on the New XBox, link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/video-games/Xbox/10068979/The-next-Xbox-What-to-expect-from-the-720.html
  4. Microsoft are still refusing to deny that it requires permanent internet connectivity. It also locks out second hand games via online DRM. It also lacks the hardware edge for gaming, as they seem to have aimed for an all-singing, all-dancing entertainment platform. Sony, OTOH, have announced that PS4 doesn't require online and you can play pre-owned games on it. At this point in time, I'm afraid, the PS4 wins. I'm quite interested in this, as I'm planning on getting my son a next-gen console for his birthday.
  5. I hope the PE franchise is a hit. Dammit I would be happy to see a PE console game eventually for chrissakes, if it enabled them to continue making solid old-skool stuff too.
  6. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/05/20/neverwinter-money-making-exploit-sees-cryptic-turn-back-time/ Although MMOs don't really float my boat, this aspect of them fascinates me. Particularly the economics.
  7. That's a cool thread Zoraptor, people need to strap on their Codex-Proof suits and head over there. Calling Sawyer a middle-aged Lesbian cyclist was a bit harsh though.
  8. Yeah, I loved D2, played some D3 with the guys on here, enjoyed Titan Quest, Path of Exile etc. My favourite though was probably the original Sacred (Horses!). ARPGs are cool for scratching a certain type of gaming itch. I've been following Grim Dawn quietly for a year or so.
  9. Heh, like the way that you are helping one dude with a water pump... and another with A RIFT DEVICE! I like the look of this... so much in fact I think I'll wait until the final build and not spoil myself.
  10. 'tis a historic gaming moment indeed.
  11. A look at the single-player campaign, which I know a few guys asked about... http://www.coh2.org/news/3099/first-contact-company-of-heroes-2-single-player-campaign
  12. * audible gasp * You... you've changed.
  13. You can educate. Yes, the Khmer Rouge tried that too. Seriously, you are well-intentioned (of that I have no doubt) but woefully misguided. The only way you will ever get these things to work is to make them profitable.
  14. I don't need to try. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but some hippy telling me how much steak I can eat in a week brings out the gun-toting libertarian in me.
  15. Which is where warmism breaks down. You can't 'nudge' or persuade people to do all these things. You will have to enforce them via a system of coercion and surveillance. Like I said, no wonder the Left find it so appealing.
  16. Warmism is an -ism like any other, and it's adherents tend to become wild-eyed loons. Why else do you think that the Left have taken to it with such gusto?
  17. Good luck old chap.
  18. If Obama allows US Citizens to be taken out by drones, then surely the next logical step is for the Federal Government to Hellfire gun-nuts living up mountains in Idaho.
  19. ^ No I think you are on the money. Anime is slightly disturbing, although anime + tanks seems to work.
  20. Are we collectively looking into this a bit too much? The man who made this statement is a ****. He should be given a slap and then we can move on.
  21. I like Girls und Panzer simply because I like tanks and it's bloody crazy.
  22. 1. No I don't believe in it, nor do I want to live in a tent. Not do I despise humanity in the way so many Malthusian Greens do. 2. I wish I was still your age. 3. That's it.
