The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Uh. Not really excited, I dunno. Truth told, I moved on from Firefly for years now.

Weird, random, interesting - now with 100% less diacriticals
Did these people really leave the city or did they become homeless?

I mean, apparently they already made a profit on the game, so not doing this would probably be very bad for their image.

Latest Mandalorian episode was completely unrealistic. It had stormtroopers that would actually hit targets. Must be a first, I think.

To be honest, gameplay looks like the same old, same old. Visuals in the trailer look good, but really nothing in it makes me want to buy the game.

No space murins? In a WH40k game? How is that possible.

Didn't they crash on a different planet in god knows where at the end of ME3?

New Scientific Discoveries, Part Drei
No engine failures. As we know now, they were turned off on purpose, even the first one. Then they made SN8 hover a bit in the sky to burn off fuel and then flipped it to get down to the landing pad. The reason why the landing failed is because there was not enough pressure in the header tank. Basically everything worked except for the landing. Big success.

Cyberpunk 2077
Come on people. Everyone memed about customizable genitals a few months back. So what's the big deal with it now?

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
I felt season 2 was a bit weaker than the 1st one. Hope the 3rd will pick it up again. In any case, it'll be so much better than anything Star Trek we're getting nowadays. 😄

New Scientific Discoveries, Part Drei
What do you mean with rocky start? This was awesome. Nobody expected it'll get this far. They almost nailed it on the first try ever with something that was never tried before. Let them fix the engine issues and there we go. SN9 is already build, so the next test won't be far away off either. Super exciting. /Edit: I'm browsing the news and ofc so many people are laughing and saying the mission is a failure ... completely missing the point of that test. Seeing this ignorance makes my blood boil, seriously. This test was a huge success. Except for the landing and the mid-flight engine failures, everything worked. The rocket took off, made it high, managed to flip itself to the side, glide down, get back up and slow down for the landing. I'm pretty sure the results would have been even better if the 3rd raptor would have kept working. Falcon 9 crashed many times before they nailed the landing, and now everyone is taking for granted that we shoot rockets into space and have them come back to the landing pad completely unharmed. This is not something we're doing since ever, this is super fresh tech. Hell, going by the speed of things, I'm very certain we'll see a perfect starship landing in the next couple months.

I can't even install Cyberpunk because of that filesize, even if I would delete RDR2 and some other stuff.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
So after watching the latest Mandalorian episode I'm wondering .... will it ever be possible to take Stormtroopers seriously? It's like they are a joke and made a joke on purpose. Why does the imperium even deploy them if they are so god damn useless? Like, how incompetent needs the enemy to be in order for sending Stormtroopers against them will give you any value? They can't hit anything with their rifles, they can't hit anything with a damn laser gatling, they can't even hit anything with a god damn mortar and its splash damage, and on top of that they fall down dead if something touches them on the shoulder. It's driving me mad.

What Are You Playing Now: The meaning of life
The late game difficulty in Bloodborne is a bit wack. There's generic mobs who seriously duck up my day up to the point where I begin to just speed past them, and then I get to the boss and finish him off in 1 or 2 attempts. It's almost like the generic mobs are the real boss after all.

Heh, shame, but also very predictable. Nice case study, though, I guess.

I still fail at parry half the time. Even on mobs which I parried A LOT before, every once in a while I just fail to do it ... guess I just suck at reflexes. Still. I'm ~lv50 now and the game got a lot easier. There are still mobs that can kill me fast and especially groups are deadly, but all in all it's very manageable. Since Father Gascoigne there was not a single boss that needed more than 2 or 3 tries for me to get done with it. /Edit: I'm in the forest area now, and have to say it's probably the worst so far. Same experience as in every other Souls game ... as soon as you get to the forest area(s), the fun is just sucked right out and I'm craving to get out of there again ASAP.

Still doing Bloodborne. Getting much better at it. It's night time now, and ducking hell, the game is creeping me out. Pretty good idea to reuse the environment like that with new / different mob compositions. You know all the places, but it's still different and you can't feel safe. Hell, I even dreamed about it today... more specifically about Eileen the Crow. 😄 Man, that's probably the coolest character in the game so far. Right now it feels to me like it's just the very beginning of the game that beats you down and is super hard. Once you managed to level up a bit, it suddenly becomes A LOT easier. While still harder than the last Dark Souls that I've played, it's really nothing compared to the first few hours anymore. Basically, the first thing you have to do is manage to unlock levelups, then pump points into vitality and there you are - the game is open now... only took me 10 or so hours, though.

Right now I'm just wondering how the hell I'm supposed to take on the big bag mofos, because they are a serious issue. It takes me lots of time to take them down, but if they catch me, they eat almost all my hitpoints.

Bloodborne is getting seriously creepy now. I don't remember ever feeling this uneasy in Dark Souls games.
