  1. Worst is that australia is traveling north, so in a few hundred years or so it will hit the mainland and all its monster critters will get lots new grounds to cover.
  2. It's a VR game, so it might feel completely different ingame. Still doesn't make me want to play it, though. Personally I would like something more normal for once. The reason why I like the Dan Abnett books is because they feel more grounded and show civilian life, etc. Can't they do something like this in a game for once instead of all this tryhard grim stuff?
  3. Huh, that felt pretty fast. Didn't expect it until much later in 2021.
  4. The press conference:
  5. It's pretty big news, even though we still have to take it with a grain of salt. Will probably spawn a bunch of new Venus missions, which is also cool.
  6. tl;dr of what's going on there?
  7. I started watching Chernobyl. I'm at episode 2 now and man, it's like a horror movie.
  8. It'll be just more stupid lens flares and dumb plot twists.
  9. Wait, they are working on yet another Star Trek show that will turn out to be garbage?
  10. Finished my second go of the Witcher. The best part of it is probably the music. Very fitting and well done. Also I don't mind the casting of Triss anymore. Guess folks back then were just in shock because game Triss looks extremely different and gamers don't like this.. Damn, I want season 2 now.
  11. Alpha Protocol is the reason why I stopped reading any game reviews. Funny how the game was completely trashed by the american media, while the european media praised it. Sure it had its flaws and lots of issues, but it was still a fun game. Played through it 7+ times back in the release days, because you could do so many things differently and the ending completely changes. /Edit: And it made me furious when one year later, the same people who excessively trashed the game, suddenly came around and posted articles like "hey.. actually this game isn't so bad after all" ... F* these people, really.
  12. Kinda hate how they only released the first 3 episodes, otherwise I probably would have tried to binge through it this weekend. S2e1 was indeed kinda...... long... but then it got better again, imo. Biggest issue was that it felt like there is no progress happening. They are in this constant limbo and the story just hovers around in there. Truth told, this doesn't feel like a tv show that should go on for potential 10 seasons. They should probably wrap it up somewhat soonish.
  13. This is exactly my problem with the X games. The beginning takes just too long.
  14. I started rewatching Netflix's the Witcher, because why not. I'm noticing lots of tiny details now everywhere, which is pretty cool. But I also realize once again that if I wouldn't have read the books plenty times, it would have been impossible to follow all the timeline jumps. There is so much jumping around, but visually everything looks the same... Sometimes they drop names and stuff to give you a hook for where you are in time, but if you are unfamiliar with the story, it'll mean nothing or you will likely just miss it completely. Also, again, the show feels too fast at times. It's like ... you can't miss a beat and have to run through everything. Meh.
  15. All in all it was still a pretty good show, especially at the time back then. Rewatched it a couple times even. Only thing that still annoys the hell out of me are the awful cliff hangers in every episode. Now you can just binge everything and it doesn't hurt so much anymore, but back then you had to wait a full week for the next episode and that completely ripped me out of it every single time ....
  16. The new season of Lucifer didn't really grab me all that much anymore. I noticed they picked some very crazy different murder cases this time around, which in itself is good. But what I didn't liked was all this annoying relationship back and forth between the Detective and Lucifer himself. These "I love you, but do I really love you, but you didn't said you love me yet" shenanigans... so annoying. Kinda funny, because to me this feels very american. Like, bro, stop with this over-analyzing bs. Can't stop thinking of some teenagers who just got together after months of drama, just to start drama after the first few days "just because" ... it's exhausting. I guess the reason why this feels so american to me is because their romances (in movies) are always so hard about "bro, y u no say I love you" ... as if that crap matters. Another funny is how this reminded me of Sons of Anarchy, where the characters tell each other "bro, I love you" and in the next scene they are trying to kill each other. It's hilarious how they are watering down "love" as a concept.
  17. My problem with the X games is that they are such a huge timesink. Played lots of X3 back in the days, but it took so long to build up something big. Just don't have the time for that anymore nowadays.
  18. Haven't seen it. Maybe I'll check it out in the coming days. Last one I saw was that movie with the Thor guy. It had some nice looking scenes, but at the end of the day was still predictable and boring.
  19. Sie is the best part of AP. /Edit: But I never liked the name due to the similarity with Sis.
  20. Alpha Protocol was a narrative mess.
  21. They probably just think of a cool setting, and everything else comes later... which then shows. Honestly, right now I can't even remember the last good Netflix movie I have seen. I don't even want to start watching any nowadays, because I feel like they will just bore me to death anyway. In other news, I'm really craving for The Dark Crystal season 2, but nobody is talking about it anymore. It's already one year since season 1 release ...
  22. I guess this has to do with the games delay? Honestly, I'm really not hyped for the game now. Looks like a miracle has to happen for me to check it out on release.
  23. It probably goes past most peoples head. Truth told, I'm also quite unhappy about the 30% cut that they take off of everything. However, Steam also takes 30% - they really aren't any better and nobody is fighting them or is able to really fight them. What's the current market situation with EG anyways? Obviously they try to get people to use their software with all the free games they constantly release... but is it working?
  24. Like, a Tesla Tower? /Edit: Yeah, they even mention that in the article.
  25. "Exploration" in Witcher 3 was just so boring. Also I don't remember anything from the environment, because my eyes were constantly glued to the dotted line on the minimap. Don't know what exactly it was, but somehow the game really didn't click with me very well.
