  1. Yup, TWD needs to end. I mean, it was always kinda hit and miss. Just remember the terrible second season, or the terrible actors such as a certain woman who made the dumbest crap, or when Rick suddenly decided to be a farmer.... But it's coming to a point now, where I'm really, really getting out of it.
  2. Looks like same stuff as always. I'll be surprised if that new Jurassic Thing will be mediocre at best.
  3. None of that was a thing in Fallout 1. Fallout 2 started with the experiments theme. Fallout 3 then turned it into a HUGE thing. I can accept experimental vaults to run tests for the Mars colony ship as it had been planned, but later games made every single vault wacky... it's just too much now.
  4. Haha and now I remember the stupid space WW2 bombers. Did they ever heard of something called physics? I don't think so. Come on, you can hand wave A LOT in movies, but all this crap is just too much.
  5. It was, mainly because FNV actually tried to make sense when it comes to world design (something Bethesda is incapable of since ever). Still.. the game also has 6 or 7 vaults and none of them is "normal".
  6. I'd say it is because in Fallout 3+ it became a lot more visible. If we take Fo1 and 2, there's a maximum of 2 vaults per game and most of the experiments lore we know about is from the Fallout Bible, which most people didn't even read. With Fo3 for the first time it became very visible, because that game has like what, 7 vaults? And all of them full with wacky, stupid, nonsense experiments.
  7. I like the idea of vaults existing to shelter people from a nuclear holocaust, exactly how it was done in Fallout 1.
  8. I'm just pissy because we had the potential for something really good here. Instead we got... whatever it is we now have. Disney should have tried to break some cliches and risk a bit, imo. You know, like others have said before, why not turn Kylo Ren into the good guy and Ray(?) into the bad one. Stuff like that. Also, is that black guy really the ONLY storm trooper to ever flee the army or what's up with that huge TRAITOR!!1 focus for two movies already.. Come on, how about at least a tiny bit of reality in my space fantasy?
  9. I don't mind this at all, tbh. In the end it's like what.. a 30 seconds scene vs 3 hours of extended facepalming? I really wish this would have been the only issue.
  10. It's funny, because I never much thought about any of the games vaults. Never liked the experiments element of them at all, and I loath the maze-like buildings since Fo3, which always made me run through them as quickly as possible. If it weren't for articles like this, I probably wouldn't even know the backstories of any of them.
  11. Don't remind me of this crap movie. Yes it does have some good elements, but most of the time I really wanted to punch a wall. There are too many stupid scenes which I just can't handwave away. Ugh, this whole "our only big ship fleeing from the other much bigger ship"-thing and "they can't hit us with their weapons, because speed" was already enough for me... This is nothing but a stupid plot armor to justify having two people move to god knows where... and they don't seem to have a problem with speed.
  12. I kinda like wasteland 2, but I also don't. Had plenty hours of fun with it, but ultimately lots of the game just feels like a checklist to me. All these containers for the lockpick and traps skill, hammering the perception skill-key all the time, the linear maps which you will never revisit after you ran through them once, and so on. The core is good, but it probably should have concentrated more on a better story.
  13. Finally the game looks good. It always pissed me off how the game never looked like the promo screenshots that are shown everywhere. All I ever could see while playing was a crappy, blurry, brown pixel mess.
  14. I thought Postal is one of the best Boll movies. Probably because it is like impossible to f up the story.
  15. Reminds me of this: It's pretty good, imo.
  16. I actually kinda liked Super Mario Bros. in its weird, trashy ways. Always wanted to see a followup movie. :> Resident Evil, though.... I just remember how this one movie ended with a million Milla clones, and then in the next movie they get rid of all of them within the first 5 minutes in a really crappy CGI way. To me, this defines exactly what these movies are. They just worked through a bunch of ideas, without knowing where to go with it in the end. :>
  17. Well, as I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, I'm not exactly "hot" on it anyway. I'll watch it once the DVD / BluRay is out and then that's it. PS: lolno. From the trailer I'm taking it'll be a mediocre movie at best. As it'll feature Milla Jovovich, I'm going as far to say that it probably will be something like the Resident Evil movies, which are pretty much garbage as well.
  18. Man, that last Star Wars movie was complete garbage, imo. I didn't liked The Force Awakens, because I found it extremely stupid to introduce yet another Death Star... oh wait, it's a Star Killer now... but heck, compared to The Last Jedi, this movie was actually good. The story now is complete BS with the rebel ship "flying away" and the big imperial ship nor any other of their ships being able to keep up, and their weapons do no damage on that distance, and the gambling planet thing, and how General Leia has her magic space moment (srsly, just either kill her off or have her get in safety before crap blows up). This "showdown" at the end was so bad, I was facepalming all the time. So many imperial walkers and fighters and they are unable to take down the rusty old rebel gliders(?) and how everyone just stands around, watching while important crap happens.... ugh, I can go on and on, it just pisses me off. I've never been a huge Star Wars fan, yet I still watched all of em movies at least once. With this one... I just couldn't stop facepalming. Well, now let's see if that Solo movie will be any good... /Edit: About Fury Road above. I loved that movie. Watched it couple times and it's great. It's feeling different than the original movies, but it's a fresh take that was needed, imo. Think about it, we also could have ended up with some sort of Indiana Jones Crystal Skull-esque movie instead. THIS would have been real crap.
  19. Yeah. Kinda weird how burning grass couldn't entertain me for 15 hours straight.
  20. I, too, reinstalled Far Cry 2. The intro is not that bad actually. Played for an hour or so and now I remember why I never finished it. Corridor-map, outposts everywhere, plenty boring fetch quest, etc.... No thanks.
  21. My second SSD arrived today. Cloned my windows drive and now I have 130gb of free space on c:\ left to use. Yay. \o/ The days of space scrapping are over for now.
  22. One of my new SSDs arrived yesterday. Took a couple hours to copy all the files over. My PC is so crazy silent now... I guess it really was about time to replace the HDD.
  23. The world itself. There ain't much besides the jackal audio tapes and diamonds but the world is so well built that it makes you want to traverse and see every little hill, waterfall, hut etc. The emptiness gives you a sense of solitude that you don't get with other Far Cry games and it is also closer to 'reality' because there ain't much to do or see in a savanna except for the savanna itself. Such things never spark my interest. I need something to do in a game. Just getting on the top of a hill and then looking around in all the empty just isn't enough for me. Maybe it's because I'm doing too much world building, etc. by myself, so I'll see empty space for what it is, no matter the pretty graphics. There might be a nice view, but I'll turn around in 10 seconds anyway.
