Movies You've Seen (or would like to see) Recently
Lexx replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Way Off-Topic
Honestly, I can't remember that I was ever able to watch ANY Star Wars movie in just one go. They always lost me at some point. I do understand some of their appeal, but I think it just went way overboard nowadays. Like, it became bigger than it was ever worth it, and now it's everywhere. -

Wow, and CoD isn't even that good. -
Didn't watched Die Hard on purpose, because this year for whatever reason, everyone kept talking about it just too much. Really turned me off of it.

Well, tl;dr is pretty much: delays, delays, delays. No matter how good anything looks like, you can put at least +1 year on it. :> -

Then you haven't seen Jupiter Ascending yet! This movie was such a turd, I had to shut it off about halfway through. -
Arcanum 2: Return to Steamworks and Magic

SonicMage117 is the least liked user on the board now. Congratulations. -
Dishonored is like 2€ for folks who have yet to play it. Other than that, I have no interest in any game. The stuff I *might* be interested in is still too expensive.

Just finished Life is Strange - Before the Storm, Episode 3. It was.... meh. Didn't had the emotional impact that I was hoping for. Also the story went some weird ways, as if they had to really find a way to get out of it, no matter the costs. Oh, and the Chloe voice actor was real bad this time. She completely overacted with the "I'm so sad"-thing, making me want to skip her lines, because she just didn't spoke how the rest of the game made you feel it... if that makes any sense. It's hard to explain... So that episode certainly could have been better. Most of the time you're just watching cutscenes and barely do anything at all. Took me about 2 hours I think, and I was slow. And lol @ all the people who proclaim the prequel should be played before the main game. No. Don't. The prequel expects you to already know characters, and the emotional impact will be either completely skewed, or you wonder why you should even care in the first place, or - at worst - it makes you not even continue with the main game, as you could get the wrong impression out of it. Before the Storm episode 1 was great. Episode 2 was good too, even though it kinda did feel a bit like "just a filler". Episode 3... well, it wraps the story up, which is OK. I have no problems with that, unlike plenty other fellas on the Steam discussion board. I do feel a bit empty now, tho. Oh well.

Well, I didn't stated it was a great movie. Topic was about Rihanna, and I think she sucks. Other than that, I at least wasn't sleeping through half of the movie, which is what I usually do with all them superhero / comic stuff. -
Ok, I gave in and finally clicked the video. My first reaction was, what kind of drugs are causing this? Then I remembered it's the 70s, so I guess the answer is every drug.

I've only seen Rihanna in this Valerian movie and I thought her part was pretty bad. Her role was the "very successful artista" but I just couldn't buy it, especially when the main character was all like "wooooaaah so cool" and I was there like "zzzzZZZzzzz". That whole thing felt more like fan service to Rihanna fans or something, to drive up the sales. -
Man, I forgot how ruined Detroit looks like.

You know.. maybe the problem is with you, not with them. :>

Obsidian could finally tell what the heck they are working on. Isn't it like years already since we first heard about them doing whatever they do? -
I just don't like killing people if I have the option of not killing them. Think of their families!

I'm guessing after all these years they simply forgot about this detail. Otherwise they could easily have kept in the logos and be done about it. -

They should have spend the money on a "act 3 addon" kind of deal. That's where I would have put my money. Not yet another stupid "survival" game. -

Yeah, Baby Driver was real good. Logan was good too, but I thought the ending was crap, with the usual superhero fightings and stuff. Don't remember any other great movies from 2017 right now, actually. -
Started watching iZombie. The name was putting me off since a long time, because it's just so.. ugh. But everyone said the show is good, so I finally gave it a try. Seen the first two episodes now, and it actually does seem interesting. Will continue with it.

Yeah, after Pirates, he became very samey and don't get me started with Helena Bonham Carter... she's also the same in any movie now. Maybe it's because at that time, they were all hanging out with Tim Burton, who also always makes exactly the same stuff now. Kinda a shame, really. -

Barely true. Yes, your actions do have a minor effect on the storyline in Life is Strange and The Walking Dead / Tell-Tale games, etc. but the final effect is marginal at best. Which makes sense, considering the amount of additional work all the possible permutations would be. Still, everytime they market something with "your actions have big effects on the story!" I can't stop rolling my eyes, because it's either a lie, or at best, a big stretch. -
More like justifying the spending. If you never play it, you wasted your money! I don't buy if I can't play it anyway. :>
