  1. Yup, all from MWO and I am a big fan of that. No matter what you think of MWOs gameplay, the mechs all look great, imo.
  2. Well, combat was never hard. At least for my characters it never took long till they one-hit head-popped everything around. Always playing a technocratic half-elf, by the way. Suit and tophat until I get the power armor. Also I love the mechanical spiders and stuff.
  3. I love Arcanum, but the combat mechanics and encounter design is just bad. It's obvious that the game needed at least another development cycle to get done for real. The game in its release state is something like an advanced beta only.
  4. Phew. I'm beginning to agree that injured mechwarriors need too much time to recover. One hit and you're out for a month... and this happens quickly. I guess the game wants you to use multiple people, but simple truth is, I don't feel brave enough to hire more, as this also increase my base costs. The months are flying by like nothing and even traveling to a different system can take you at least a month. I can see how this might become difficult soon.
  5. Not this mech will fire, but the 3 remaining mechs in your group.
  6. I'll imagine the ability works well with LRM boats. Lock a target, then fire away without the enemy being able to reach you.
  7. I'm loving it so far. Played for a couple hours and managed to prevent the worst injuries and damaged mechs. Haven't done any serious refitting yet, as - honestly - I have no idea in what way I should change the loadouts. I'm running ok with the defaults... Got the Centurion from the story mission and quite a few other mech parts. Again, no idea what to give the Centurion and who is to pilot it then.. I've noticed that some of the early missions try to fool the player with the initial starting point. That very first mining company task for example. Instead of going forward towards the first objective, it is better to revert and walk around the mountains. Then you'll stumble over the turret generator without anything else being able to hit you... finished that mission without any damage on my second try. Honestly, I'm more of a missile boat player, so I'm carving for my first catapult. That thing is my jam in non-clan tymes.
  8. I hate scars on my dudes face. It always looks so uber-edgy hard to me and I can't take it serious.
  9. lots of bla bla bla and no facts.
  10. lol that's not even news. Heard about this already years ago.
  11. Can't you change the cinematic stuff in the settings? The game has a boatload of sliders for that.
  12. If at all then I am addicted to the internet. Haven't played much in the past years, as I was always busy creating my own content. Since this month, however, I can't get anything done and just play games in my free time. It's as if I have to catch up the past years... I see no problems in such things for as long as they don't take precedence over anything else in life. If you start staying home, not going to school or work just to play video games, THEN it becomes a real problem, imo.

Started watching Godless today. Seen first two episodes. Not bad so far, even though a bit slow at times. Will continue.
  14. Folks read Bethesda and get instantly triggered. Sawyer did not say that Bethesoft Fallouts are better than the originals or something like that. He merely acknowledges that not every RPG must be like 20 years ago. FNV is a prime example that you can make great games even with the Bethesda-systems. The games being better or worse than the original is irrelevant and a different issue.
  15. Well, that's exactly how I also see RPGs. Nowadays, every second game has some sort of stats to increase, but that doesn't make them RPGs. Hell, Diablo was never an RPG for me. Deus Ex was never an RPG for me, and neither was Jagged Alliance (2). If you can't have any serious influence on the game world, then it's not an RPG for me... at least not a good one. Just because he mentioned Bethesda as an example doesn't mean he's wrong.
  16. Just got my Steam key as well.

Yup, TWD needs to end. I mean, it was always kinda hit and miss. Just remember the terrible second season, or the terrible actors such as a certain woman who made the dumbest crap, or when Rick suddenly decided to be a farmer.... But it's coming to a point now, where I'm really, really getting out of it.
  18. Looks like same stuff as always. I'll be surprised if that new Jurassic Thing will be mediocre at best.
  19. None of that was a thing in Fallout 1. Fallout 2 started with the experiments theme. Fallout 3 then turned it into a HUGE thing. I can accept experimental vaults to run tests for the Mars colony ship as it had been planned, but later games made every single vault wacky... it's just too much now.
  20. Haha and now I remember the stupid space WW2 bombers. Did they ever heard of something called physics? I don't think so. Come on, you can hand wave A LOT in movies, but all this crap is just too much.
  21. It was, mainly because FNV actually tried to make sense when it comes to world design (something Bethesda is incapable of since ever). Still.. the game also has 6 or 7 vaults and none of them is "normal".
  22. I'd say it is because in Fallout 3+ it became a lot more visible. If we take Fo1 and 2, there's a maximum of 2 vaults per game and most of the experiments lore we know about is from the Fallout Bible, which most people didn't even read. With Fo3 for the first time it became very visible, because that game has like what, 7 vaults? And all of them full with wacky, stupid, nonsense experiments.
  23. I like the idea of vaults existing to shelter people from a nuclear holocaust, exactly how it was done in Fallout 1.
  24. I'm just pissy because we had the potential for something really good here. Instead we got... whatever it is we now have. Disney should have tried to break some cliches and risk a bit, imo. You know, like others have said before, why not turn Kylo Ren into the good guy and Ray(?) into the bad one. Stuff like that. Also, is that black guy really the ONLY storm trooper to ever flee the army or what's up with that huge TRAITOR!!1 focus for two movies already.. Come on, how about at least a tiny bit of reality in my space fantasy?
  25. I don't mind this at all, tbh. In the end it's like what.. a 30 seconds scene vs 3 hours of extended facepalming? I really wish this would have been the only issue.
