God damnit, the RDR2 hype is so high, but I don't want to spend 500€ on it right now. I'd rather go for Xbone, as I don't like the playstation gamepad. Do the new consoles have HDD or SSD drives? Don't want to have yet another noise-maker in my room either. I'm so happy about my PC not doing any aggressive noises anymore. /Edit: ugh, seems Last of Us is playstation exclusive... so I guess the next game will be as well. That means I probably have to go with PS4 if I'll do it at all... I hate exclusive games so damn much. /Edit2: But RDR2 seems to look best on the latest Xbox One X (lol there are multiple console versions nowadays.. hilarious). Honestly, I just want it for PC, then I don't have any of the above problems.....

Turns out our driver escaped home. He ran away to saxonia, leaving behind his wife and 6 months old baby or something. Welp, at least the delivery van was ok and he didn't stole it.
-
One of our drivers went MIA. Didn't show up at work, can't get him on the phone. It's about 5 hours now and I had to cancel two tours because of this.

It's one of those games you play once and then never again.

Usually if you bought these ships, you also get LTI (Life Time Insurance), so if it blows up, you get a new one after a while.
-
Eh, I sure wouldn't have expected all that in the base game. It would have blown the game out of scope, especially with the uncertain success in the very beginning. You should see it this way: Better for them to support the game longer, they could as well just have crammed all that into a new game and asked $60 for it.

At the moment, no. In the future, probably. Depending on your "insurance".

I see no point in recreating the same graphic assets over and over again. They already exist, they have a reasonable quality, so why not use them?
-
Man, considering these prices, that's some pure garbage DLCs. Looks like even Oblivion Horse Armor had a better price value.
-
Is there a list of these paid mods somewhere? I can't find anything about it.
-
Isn't it just a beta release? Probably better to wait some more weeks.

lol @ Bethsoft creativity. They are so incapable of coming up with good new factions, so they have to milk the existing ones over and over and over again. The Enclave should have been gone with Fo2 already, the BoS shouldn't even exist at this point of time on this side of the world... It's just so hard to ignore for me. Even though I really don't want to care, I somehow still do.

Pictures of your Games 11 - The Quickening
Lexx replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
Games always looks so visually crappy in these big screenshots. -
lol, Red Dead Redemption 2 needs 150gb space on the PS4, not just 100gb. Did they forgot about file compression?
-
You can expect the same for RDR2 Online.

I'm confused as to how they can have nothing to work on in game dev. In my experience, there is always something to work on. Other than that, I'm very much against doing overtime for the sake of it. Hell, I'm even against overtime in general if it isn't really justified. Also I absolutely loath the "but the bosses do 100 hour weeks as well!"-argument, because the generic company grunts salary and amenities probably don't compare at all to that of the bosses.

Every time I've seen forumite's pictures (and Missy had a lot of them in the days of yore to gawk at) I was sorely disappointed that they don't look like their avatars. Could print out avatars as masks, and everyone is forced to wear them.

Couple years back I had a secretary job. 6 hours a day... There was nothing to do, just sitting around, waiting for the telephone to ring about twice per day. It was hell on earth. Was super happy when I got away from there. Such a huge waste of time...

Huh nice. I liked it, and Kristen Bell is hot. :>

The Weird, Random or Interesting Things That Fit Nowhere Else Thread

Haven't updated Winamp since they added adverts years ago. -
Something changed?

You might not keep your job for super long if your productivity output isn't as high as that of these voluntarily working folks. :>

Star Citizen is actually very special. Even if the game fails, I'm pretty sure they will have no problem at all to sell their technology to someone else. The article is a tiny bit misleading. Yes, the alpha 3.3 did add face over IP and ships and stuff like that, but the main reason people are revisiting it right now is the new container streaming. Suddenly the game has *good fps* for the very first time in almost *all* situations. This is the first time, the game is *really* playable for a majority of players. This is a big thing, because if this tech is 100% completed (which it still isn't right now), they will have no problems with increasing the scope of the universe to whatever size they want. This is not a dream, you can actually see this ingame right now... and the fps won't tank like crazy. I know this doesn't sound like THAT much, as other games have world streaming as well, but no other game allows you to start on a space station, walk around that station, board a ship, fly around a planet that is bigger than any other game world (except Daggerfall), land on said planet, get a ground vehicle, drive anywhere on said huge planet, get back into a ship, fly to another planet 1 billion kilometers away and do exactly the same, all the while being able to meet other players at any time. Sure, in the end the game can still suck and be super boring, but the tech is very impressive.

That. You don't know a whole lot about TES lore, do you? Well, that was ages ago. The folks working on it back in the days aren't at Bethsoft anymore since before Oblivion happened.
