Problem is, none of those files can be trusted now. GOP could just easily have made up their own crap, filling the list with their enemies and removing who they don't want to be on it. So this is a bit of an odd observation, but ... lately I saw that the egg shelf in the supermarket is surprisingly empty. Now I'm wondering if the same idiots who voted for the AfD are the ones who think Germany has an egg price problem because it's what they talk about in America. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's... well.. odd.

Maybe Ukraine thinks they just have to wait out Trump. At the end of the day, the GOP doesn't honor deals, so why should Ukraine do it? For now they can just say and do whatever, and later.. who knows.

So far I mostly use the electro pistol (reminds me of the Thundercrack Pistol from Deadfire) + some magic dagger that I found, or the Arquebus. I've upgraded both weapons to 3rd common level now. Kinda hate how the weapon switching is done. There also seem to be an issue with quick swapping and reloading.. sometimes it doesn't work, or my timing is off, I dunno. Also more than once already I've accidentally used my healing potion with pressing 1, even though my muscle memory just wanted to select a different weapon.

I don't want to make a new thread for it, and this one seems to be the most active, so I'll just ask here... Is it possible to add new armor / weapon models to the game? Was wondering if it'd be feasible to add the unique weapons from Avowed into Deadfire.

Wish we could get the new guns from Avowed as unique weapons in PoE1 and 2. Almost makes me want to check if I can build a mod like that. I know it's possible to add new(?) items to the game, but not sure if we can add new models as well.

Was thinking more about Avowed last night It's weird. On the one hand I can't wait to continue playing it, but on the other hand I'm a little put off by how much a "checklist" my playstyle has been yesterday. Like, I just ran up and down the map to collect items from chests while destroying some awfully generic mobs that were conveniently placed in obvious locations. This kinda makes the world feel... unalive? Hope that this will improve later, but I somewhat feel like this is what the game is. On the plus side, I got my first unique pistol, which is really cool. Also the Arquebus is super cool-- but the reload looks dorky, with my hands flying like a magician it's like I have 3 hands.

Rarely am I more disappointed in my country. Especially my town is something like 40% AfD, it's driving me mad. The only good thing is that AfD stays < 25%, since this means they can't do that much, especially nothing important. Also BSW (the most obvious Putin puppet) is below 5%, which is another good news. The future looks grim. AfD gained over 10% in votes. Next election will probably seal the deal and then after 90something years, we finally have Nazis back in the government. Or the coalition building will fail and CDU will work together with the AfD after all. Remember-- just because they say that they won't work with them, doesn't mean they will stay true to their words. I don't trust any of those snakes. That said, bringing back the CDU is just stupid. They had 16 years with Merkel and they did nothing. In big parts it's their fault that we are where we are now. I'm not blaming SPD, they didn't really had time to do stuff. Personally I would have given them more, just to see what happens.

Hah, so after my 14 cheap days with microsoft game pass were over, I canceled the subscription. Now since I'm (almost) done with Deadfire, I figured it's time to give Avowed a try... and now it turns out, I could get that $1 game pass deal a second time. So now I can play Avowed for $1 for 14 days. Unless the game starts to suck hard, I should have finished it by then. My initial impression is... damn, visually this looks damn great. The performance is really good as well. No stuttering, no texture issues, no nothing.

Did a short break from Deadfire and went into Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. It's probably the best Life is Strange type game in years. Though I'm not sure if it's really a game or rather an experience. Chapter 2 is supposed to release in April... sux.

Ok, just finished The Forgotten Sanctum. Not that bad either. By now I've disabled the level scaling, because I couldn't bear it anymore. Didn't made the combat ridiculously easy, but it was a lot less tedious for sure. This dlc kinda proves again that Deadfire probably would have benefited of less, but bigger / more condensed islands. Spending more time in a location gives it a lot more character, makes it feel alive, and not like a random recycled mini-dungon.

Need a PoE game where we start killing off all the gods. After finishing Beast of Winter, Rymrgand really pisses me off and I'd love to take his head. Same with all the other gods. I really hate how arrogant they are and how superior they feel. Except Hylea, I guess. Hylea is kinda ok.

Even more interesting than they currently are.

Finished Deadfire's Beast of Winter dlc. All in all not too bad. The fight with the dragon was a bit of a pain, since those 3 NPCs that I recruited to help me didn't do anything at all. Took me 4 attempts to make it through it, funny enough, on the 4th attempt it suddenly was quite easy and fast. I'll probably continue with Forgotten Sanctum now, but I'm pretty sure that I will not touch Seeker, Slayer, Survivor, since the combat system is slowly beginning to pull me down and I'm not sure if I want even more of that.

Not gonna lie, while playing Deadfire right now, occasionally in dialog I see myself wishing to have character close-ups like in BG3. Or just more dynamic animations. Like, show me what my character is doing and don't just write it in the dialog window (which I find really hard to read, by the way). Generally I dislike this sort of descriptive text. Talking to an NPC and the first two clicks in the dialog window is a lengthy description of what the guy is doing is... bad. I mentally skip that text. Stuff like that also wasn't necessary in games like Fo1 and 2, so I don't see it necessary here at all. Hell, this is what made the new Torment game highly unenjoyable to me, because there was SO MUCH of it, reading became a real drag. Now, many years after the release of Deadfire, I appreciate that the company heads decided to voice all dialog. Sure it was harder and cost more money, but I'm happy about it now. Maybe it's because I'm getting old and I have trouble reading all that ****, no clue.

I believe PoE2 didn't perform so well because PoE1 just had a massive nostalgia hype and that whole kickstarter thing going on. Once the game was out and people played it, they had their fix and that's it. Who knows how many people even finished PoE1. Then the new Torment happened, which was kind of the same / very similar, but also not that great. Now people who played those games, simply didn't return to PoE2. I'd say a BG3 style PoE3 would be really nice, but *please* by the love of god, don't make it that massive. BG3 is way, way, way too big... it took me 130 hours to get through a single playthrough, and I even skipped stuff in the end. It completely burned me out. The engine is nice, though. They should use that.

Tbh even Deadfire suffers from that already. Lots of NPCs feel like information vending machines instead of actual people. I think this is one of the issues I had with the game back in the days as well-- something about it feels so grinded down, systemic, like they are now using the same formula for everything, which ends up with you having a less buggy game, but also a game that lacks actual character. If that makes some sense.

Chances for that aren't too bad, I guess. They pretend to do an awesome peace plan now, Ukraine obviously will decline it, then Trump says they tried, and will lift russian sanctions. Trade between america and russia will pick up again, they make nice money, EU will be left out of the market, since they keep their sanctions up. It's pretty much a double-hurt. For ukraine and for the EU.

I thought they said Deadfire kept selling and by now has sold a good amount of copies. Personally I like poe2 a lot more than poe1. However, if they ever do a poe3, I really hope it will have some slight pirate or at least spanish colonial feeling again.
