  1. Woah, that incredibly long boot sequence was pissing me off so much. Thanks for the tip, removed it right away.
  2. You know what. After thinking about it for a while (not really), I feel like it could be interesting to play as an actual older warrior-like woman. I mean, old disgruntled dudes with big beards are in style already, so why not do the equivalent of that as a woman?
  3. Because people are retarded. But also because Witcher = Geralt. I want to play as some burly, stoic, old man. That would be nice. Don't really care about female character in Witcher 4, it's just that I'm really meh about Ciri.
  4. Ciri was the most meh part for me in Witcher (books and game). So for now I'm meh about it.
  5. Did more Indy yesterday. It's slowly beginning to really take me in. What was muffling my experience at first was the not so great interface when it comes to maps, notes, etc. Somehow it's hard to find stuff, and even now, just a few hours in, it's so full with things... if I pick up a new document and just take it without reading, I'm having a really hard time finding it again. Slowly getting used to that now, I guess, so it gets better. Love the graphics so far. The environment just looks nice. Climbing is too slow, though. Can't wait to visit egypt - on screenshots it looks like this is going to be my thing a lot. Oh, one more thing... I'm using the "easy" puzzle mode, because usually I have a hard time to get arsed but now I noticed that it might be a little much help.. one of the puzzles in the Vatican completely stopped being a puzzle and ended up nothing more than a "go to x, press all buttons, do as Indy says", since Indy commented literally on everything I was supposed to do. That kinda ruined the experience for me and I was a bit disappointed. /Edit: I just remembered another thing. Is it just me or is the sound sometimes really weird? Especially in the beginning, with some(?) characters when they talk and I look into a different direction or walk a bit away, it sounds like they are speaking through a tin can. Really weird.
  6. "which has been celebrated in some quarters of social media." --- some?
  7. New update is out with a couple new features: https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/51028/update-2-2-is-live
  8. Went approx 1 hour into Indy. So far not bad, will continue. Animations in cutscenes feel a bit janky at times, but oh well. Other than that, getting a bit of a Deus Ex-y exploration vibe so far. Hoping this continues for the rest of the game.
  9. I tested it now since it's only 1€ for first 14 days. But oh boy, that download speed is atrocious... I'm at 17% now and downloading for 1 hour already. /Edit: You have to do this to fix the download speed: https://www.esportstales.com/tech-tips/how-to-fix-xbox-app-slow-download-speed-pc-game-pass
  10. Cool. Guess I will try it then. In other news, itch.io is currently down: https://bsky.app/profile/itch.io/post/3lcu6h465bs2n
  11. You mean if I get Gamepass I can buy it for cheaper or that you play it for the Gamepass price then? I never used it, so no clue how it works. Also is Gamepass a streaming service or do you download and use games as usual?
  12. Crazy how fast this suddenly ended. Complete failure. Of course the new gov will now say whatever they need to get western money. I believe this won't end well anytime soon, though.
  13. The new Indiana Jones game looks nice, but it's 70 bucks... nah. I'll wait 6 months and buy it for 20 or so then.
  14. I just remembered that a few years ago I've read Under the Wire by Paul Conroy. It tells the story of him and Marie Colvin (war journalists) in Homs, back when Syrian government and Russia were cracking down on the city. What they describe is pretty much the same that happened in Ukraine -- just relentless artillery fire, leveling the city meter by meter every day until everything is flattened. This, honestly, is really the only thing that Russia is capable of doing. Everything else in their military is useless. Take away the artillery and they are incapable of doing anything. And as we can see now, the only thing holding Assad's regime up was the Russian support. It's almost funny to see how fast it crumbles- if it just wouldn't be for all the civilian suffering at the same time.
  15. Dark Souls 3 felt quite easy to me. I almost breezed through the main game. Not sure if the game is just generally easier, or if I suffered so much through Dark Souls 2 that my motoric skills improved a lot. On the other hand, for some reason I also burned out from the series a lot with it. Bought the DLC but never actually even started it. Took me a long time to get back to Souls games... actually Bloodborne a couple years later was what brought me back. Probably because it felt so very different. Oh, by the way. Not sure if I mentioned it, but I'm not in Bloodborne NG+. Just finished off Amelia and nibbled on the Hunters Nightmare already a little bit. Though I'm not sure if I can do that one again now... Facing the Orphan of Kos (some say, Kosm...) is not something I'm looking forward to at all. Especially not in NG+.
  16. Everyone was so hyped. "Bloodborne remaster!!" until they realized that Sony just reused the old release trailer footage from back in the days. Anyways, I don't bother anymore. Bloodborne runs very good on PC now. I'm happy.
  17. It'll be ez if you have huge stockpiles of artillery and missiles, I guess. Just gotta be able to keep those meat waves at distance.
  18. Indeed, people would then see that China is just a paper tiger as well.
  19. How is this a precedent? Trump already pardoned terrible people the last time he was president.
  20. You just know Trump would keep going after him over ridiculous claims, so I can understand the move. Don't really care either, tbh. Trump is an actual convicted felon and slippery like an eel. Now he is even president again. So yeah.. I can see why Biden will try to protect his people. Especially since Trump and Company keep taunting what they are going to do with their enemies. That said, IMO the issue isn't Biden giving a pardon for his son but that he and all presidents can do this in the first place.
  21. Oh my god, guys. I finally did it. My weapon started to break down near the end, so I had to do the last couple attacks with barely dealing any damage. It was really damn close and I expected having to restart any second now. But for some reason Kos (or some say, Kosm...) kept missing me. Maybe my frantically dodging to the left broke the ai before it broke me. PS: Even after all those years, the spoiler function is still dog poop. Why can't I edit text inside a spoiler? Why is there no markup editor here? Terrible forum software.
  22. Damn, MW5: Clans is already on sale. Didn't it came out just recently?
  23. I refuse to waste my time with reading this kind of stuff. Gamers really have nothing better to do.
  24. Bloodborne update: I'm now level 130 or whatever, 50 hours in. Orphan of Kos (or some say, Kosm...) still beats my sorry ass to a pulp. Wish there would be an easier way to learn the attacks. The constant backtracking and especially having to farm blood echos to buy new vials and bolt paper is really draining me. Was already thinking of just skipping it, but I really, really, really want to finish the DLC. At least I look cool in my Yarnham hunters cap and Lady Maria outfit.
