Politics US Edition Volume II
You know, one thing I never really understood - America has such a thing for going against dictators in other (primarily middle eastern, hurr durr) countries, but everytime I hear about what the american president is apparently able to do, I'm wondering if he isn't a dictator himself. Reminds me of when the world was all QQ about Erdogan getting himself more power, all the while the american president can just swing his duck around in whatever ways he likes and apparently nobody can do anything against it. Feels kinda hypocritical to me.

Politics US Edition Volume II
I mean, we all knew that not much is going to change. At this point, the only thing I'm hoping for is less daily Trump news (and it seems to be working out so far).

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Finally got around to watch Dolemite Is My Name. Was pretty good I'd say.

Random video game news
I don't really see GTA in Cyberpunk. Just because you can drive around and stuff, doesn't mean it will be "like GTA" or something. Especially since R* games are always 110% on the rails and don't allow for any free decision-making. Just because there is a city and cars, doesn't mean ... yadda-yadda.

Politics US Edition Volume II
Apparently Trump is digging a trench at the white house. Anyone want to speculate? ๐

Heh, to be honest, I'm not really motivated anymore to buy it now. Would very likely have bought it day1 ... a year ago, though.

Politics... World events
Yeh, I still remember all the drama about this. Germany had quite a few protests about it and you had to be very observant, because they just tried to push their garbage through the system under a new name. Very annoying.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Heh, I already stopped after episode 1 of season 2. Funny, because I kept watching other shows that became crap (like The Walking Dead), because they at least kept you engaged in some way. But Discovery and Picard felt just way too stupid.. or maybe it is because it hurts so much.

But did it really?

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Devilman Crybaby was ... quite a thing. Didn't know exactly what to feel about it in the end. It certainly was not what I initially expected from it.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
I never connected Cowboy Bebop with Firefly. Actually it's the first time now I even read about such a comparison. One-Punch Man was really good. I expected nothing from it, but it felt so fresh and new because it tries to subvert the genres. I don't regret spending the time on watching it.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Well, I'm going to marathon though The Expanse s4 again this weekend, so I dive right into s5 on monday. \o/ Weekly episode releases still suck, but I just know I won't be able to wait till next year, so whatever ...

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Looks like we have a new weeb. I feel like many animes start out strong but then they just ... keep going ... even though they should probably stop. Reminds me of when I watched Death Note. Started really good, but then it somehow just went on and on and on and ugh... was happy when it finally ended. Probably could have skipped like 20 episodes in the middle and wouldn't have missed out on anything.

New Scientific Discoveries, Part Drei
Sadly had some issues, so we probably won't see the 15km hop soon.

I didn't read up on it, but isn't the price difference because germany subsidized the development of the vaccine?

Random video game news
Didn't they wrote about updated mechanics (gamepad controls etc) somewhere? Of course if it's just graphic changes then it won't be worth looking into.

Random video game news
I'm kinda looking forward to the updated games, to be honest. Last time I tried to play them they felt very dated and clunky. I just couldn't get into it anymore. Like, you can't even use a gamepad on ME1 PC version. What the hell.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
I remember that I disliked Killjoys because it felt like your typical cheap SyFy show - stronk female main character who is badass in everything and dominates everyone and who has one geeky male (prettyboy) sidekick and one non-geeky (also usually male) sidekick. Guess what, Dark Matter has a stronk female main character who is badass in everything and dominates everyone. Granted, the main cast is bigger this time, and the characters have a little more depth indeed, so yes, Dark Matter is better than Killjoys, but still feels like just your usual SyFy show to me. ๐ It's a bit of a miracle that they made The Expanse for 3 seasons, tbh.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Well, at the end of the day I felt like both shows were quite cheap and right now I wouldn't even be able to distinguish between them. ๐

Wasn't Killjoys also canned?

Politics 20/20 now with extra hindsight!
So funny that even after the last 4 years it is STILL a very close race and Trump is not that bad off. Just shows to me that Murica has pretty much lost it. This garbage political drama will continue and everything keeps going down the ****ter no matter what.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Yeah, the first one is the best. Everything after is kinda watchable, but for me it lost a bit of its flair later.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
Watched s1 and 2 of Mindhunter over the past few days. Really good show. Ofc Netflix had to cancel it.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
At the same time they reduced the amount of episodes per season, though.

Weird, random, interesting - now with 100% less diacriticals
Don't really care who's at fault. I'm just happy the space industry finally picks up the pace again, after so many years of barely things happening. We are in a time now where you can read weekly space news and there's something new every time. It's super exciting, and I can't wait for the first Starship testflight soonโข.
