True dat. It'll probably seem shorter after the KS ends though, when normal life resumes. We'll be forgetting this entire thing until it's already upon us! Don't want to spoil myself too much either, so I'll be keeping a low profile.

They stated this will be more akin to BG/PST. Just like IWD was it's dungeon crawler counterpart, they're hoping to be able to do IWD3 in the future. Which would be more what you'd like (and less what I'd like, honestly). They can't make everyone happy but I'm sure there's at least some middleground! Just like how I liked BG/PST more than IWD, but enjoyed IWD just the same.

Seeing that they're handcrafting close to everything including items and gear.. I so no reason not to explore? So you don't get to see a number when that ogre finally goes down... I'd rather have the +2 club of awesome instead anyway.

Doesn't require more work? You think balancing an entire game is easier than creating a city or a dungeon? Allowing kill xp shifts the balance enormously. They could marginalize kill xp and leave quest xp as the "game changers" but then why have kill xp in the first place? As I said, if they could (for example) make their life insanely easier by keeping it quest xp.... I would say go for it. If it TRULY is no problem to create multiple ways to gain xp and balance that at the same at no aditional cost.. (yeah right) Then go for that one!

One doesn't exclude the other. Quest xp can coexist with kill xp. Was waiting for someone to post this. Yes, that's true but which do you think requires more work? They're working on a budget and I think this part is fair game. You'll get the xp one way or the other. Of course it's just an opinion and I've already stated my preference

Appreciate your work Loranc! Scaling looks fine and I personally have no worries about the XP system. My preference would also be monster xp instead of quest xp but I can see their point about completing it in different ways and not giving any solution (with or without deaths) an advantage. Basically, I got faith in Obsidz!

$508 here as well, a bit stuck as I pledged through paypal. Upping is more easily done through KS than PP. For example the epic items are sold out on the KS but can still be done through PP.... Will they simply accept them? Or say sorry they're sold out... As they (logically) have a finite number of items to create, it has to end somewhere. Same goes for my next logical step which would be a Troll portrait from MCA! What if I up my pledge with $250 ($758) and the KS runs out of their 30 MCA Trolls Though the 750 tier isn't on the PP page, you could "create it" by upping your pledge. I think they should clarify this if possible (upgrading through Paypal). But maybe I'll just get a second complete Obsidian pack and give it away. For now though.. back to IWD2!

Probably because this was the LAST IE game released, also this was Josh's project. I believe he said he hasn't played IWD2 yet, which would be quite the reason indeed!

It's merely a service. He wants to play the game anyway to get more insights into the golden years (he hasn't played IWD2 yet). So he allows us to watch and maybe comment, he said some OEI guys might drop by so that seems worth it at the least!

My first computer was the Vendex Headstart 2: Used to play Maze (big maze circle where you had to guide a cursor to the center) and Digger on it. Oh and it had a turbo button! Think it occed the machine from 9Mhz to 11Mhz, if I remember right. Found some more specs: Vendex headstart II (8MHz, 1MB Ram) 8088-XT machine

How odd, I really like the recorded messages from "upper management". Makes the entire process feel more personal! I would like to see more of the entire crew though! They teased them in some of the video's but maybe they could do a more in depth look into the other employees Not forcibly of course, no need for forced interviews as I'm sure some of the guys on the team would like to relay a message! This includes Ziets as well of course (if he wants).
