  1. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-says-longer-range-us-missiles-kyiv-would-cross-red-line-2022-09-15/ Not too sure NATO's too scared of this. Well, maybe Iran will suddenly find a bunch of Topol-M's left unattended in a parking lot somewhere.
  2. Flooding doesn't seem all that bad, I believe the rules say "the release of dangerous forces and consequent severe losses among the civilian population." https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/customary-ihl/eng/docs/v1_rul_rule42 Nicely written too, lots of wiggle room
  3. I guess they busted the dam to affect the river depth ? Hm, wonder what are worst case scenarios for the ZNPP though - it's a different type of reactor than Chernobyl they kept referencing in the news, for some reason. I'd expect any issue to be largely due to poisoning the Dniepr and I guess Black Sea as well, but not much further (as if that is a small distance) Lucked out huge there it was a dud.
  4. I just took that scene to indicate people in NY truly don't care about anything.
  5. When people talk about integration, the fact it's two-way never seems to come up much. Well that and everything always ends up very anecdotal
  6. The Armenia situation is funny, recalling all the talk of order and justice earlier. US will need to donate a lot of weapons though, HIMARS is not God, either (the next US intervention will be interesting to see). I doubt Ukraine cares that much to push Georgia or wherever else as part of a peace treaty - they're going to try to push the war as an existential threat to Russia for what ?
  7. Pretty sure that won't end very well for Georgia, though. No free US weapons heading their way any time soon.
  8. https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/exclusive-war-began-putin-rejected-ukraine-peace-deal-recommended-by-his-aide-2022-09-14/ Interesting to read, some Kremlin sources (I really value the third one less when they mention they just heard from other people so often) leaking this.
  9. So that's where my boss got that motto from.
  10. Not sure it's in range for that either, maybe from Nova Kakhovka.
  11. Shouldn't be, with the missiles most people think they have, the bridge wouldn't even be in range from Sevastapol, and Putin's palace is 130 km further away.
  12. Those are some pretty funny criteria for a bad leader. It seems so, heh.
  13. I disagree it's hard to think of someone much worse than him, but sort of how you can see Putin as a reaction to that clown Yeltsin, people might want someone more extreme, hence the humour. Media here pushes the idea Navalny is the great alternative, although I believe even he thinks Crimea is Russian, no ? As for Venezuela, why would you say Maduro is better than Chavez ? Seems less capable or at least the same level of "bad".
  14. Assuming that is ammunition, anyway. And off some Twitter accounts in this war, might not even be from now. Is always fun to see how unverified clips are taken, and then people conclude big things. Like the footage of the T-72 getting ambushed and hitting the tree, that indicated by itself a panicked rout. Or more funnily, the ferris wheel being immobile for a brief while but being announced as broken down.
  15. People getting a bit carried away with the idea that Putin's downfall is soon. Will be amusing if the next guy turns out to be even worse.
  16. I guess somewhat related to all of this https://twitter.com/sentdefender/status/1569487694077771776
  17. https://www.wsj.com/articles/ukraine-signals-major-weapons-request-for-long-term-offensive-against-russia-11662998386 Relying on someone else's copying as I can't get past the paywall right now. Wonder what the payback for all this kit will be.
  18. @GorthDid you figure out or resolve the issue with FF and these forums ?
  19. Now there's a software developer's mindset for you
