  1. Well I had thought you meant noise like fat jokes about their developers, not angry posts on a legitimate issue. Even so, it's still easy to filter those, so I think they can harden up and manage if they want to. Doubt the amount of noise in commentary about the game(s) is any worse than anything else people talk about. And no fat jokes about them on their forums, they're strictly against bullying and all, now.
  2. Well not like sagely pointing out the flaws is going to matter much to the developers for whatever game follows, so doubt the noise is all that bad. It's really easy to filter through for the most part, as well.
  3. I probably shouldn't have posted that, oh well, just found it funny the weird stuff some people do. Right now game's getting the usual slam treatment on Metacritic too.
  4. Well hopefully my hinting that it was in all likelihood totally false didn't go unnoticed
  5. Well then maybe I won't need to download the game, just watch it on IGN http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/5411/article/bioware-institutes-zero-tolerance-policy-on-community-forums/ Gotta love the trolling.
  6. Will to keep going in JA:BIA is fading, tackling the supply depot right now and the luring of AIs into kill zones is getting tiring. But at least defending my holdings is easier now that I have two teams. Granted the junior team still isn't kitted out right.

  8. Well, can't be sexist, can they?
  9. http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/03/05/watch-the-old-republics-guild-summit-live-all-day/ Coverage of that Guild Summit thing.
  10. Think it's just an attempt to recreate Battletech TT or something, rather than remaking MC albeit is similar (MC was RT). In any event, I'm looking forward to it, I like 'mechs and all.
  11. Hope your brother's surgery goes okay.
  12. Not sure what game this is meant to be a reboot of.
  13. Mechwarrior Tactics screenshots
  14. Hm, pretty much the truth for a lot of games. Shepard was right about not needing tactics or strategy. Not really a spoiler but is cobbled together from leaked footage. Shame the engagement range is point-blank for space.
  15. Not really 'funny' but Optimus Prime extolling the virtues of exploration and NASA.
  16. For those of you getting it digitally, how big a download is this ? Here in the land of bandwidth caps, that's important.
  17. Two Steps From Hell has always been good FPS music, or FIFA music for me. Rather like 'Day Becomes Night'' myself.
  18. Plodding along in JA:BIA. Trying to keep a hold of Cambria sure is a pain, kind of a stumbling block for me in the game. So I guess I'll give it a rest and return to some Civ V.
  19. Signal-to-noise ratio (often abbreviated SNR or S/N) is a measure used in science and engineering that compares the level of a desired signal to the level of background noise. It is defined as the ratio of signal power to the noise power. A ratio higher than 1:1 indicates more signal than noise. While SNR is commonly quoted for electrical signals, it can be applied to any form of signal (such as isotope levels in an ice core or biochemical signaling between cells). Signal-to-noise ratio is sometimes used informally to refer to the ratio of useful information to false or irrelevant data in a conversation or exchange. For example, in online discussion forums and other online communities, off-topic posts and spam are regarded as "noise" that interferes with the "signal" of appropriate discussion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signal-to-noise_ratio
  20. The Biodrone spillover into the TOR forums was interesting to note.
  21. No game is, really.
  22. Not sure if it's been covered, by why not hit Citadel before Earth ?
  23. As for his eyes, well Shepards do work in valleys..
  24. Serves me right for watching it before posting! Heh fitting choice of music, Two Steps From Hell's 'Protectors of the Earth'. For some reason the guy saying "give them hell" made me think of Makarov.
