  1. Was hoping someone would finish the Megadeth reference, to no avail.
  2. Peace sells ?
  3. Thankfully the "information" war will die down. Tired of people either stroking it to the lions of the IDF and how their existence is under threat or endless photos of dead or maimed civilians (though the latter really has my sympathy, not fun to live blinded or brain damaged, for example).
  4. Had to laugh at more Initech-esque occurrences with the new guy starting. Strange to have a new hire after 2 years since the last one, though bastard is next to me so has cost me storage space.
  5. Well, seems to be something else rather than a response to the quote. Though a Hamas guy is talking to Wolf Blitzer, wonderful journalist that he is, seems pointless to begin with for either party. Eh, I suppose stuff like this now isn't all that harmful, ones that will heed this are already well dyed.
  6. Wing Commander 3 is free on Origin - https://www.origin.com/en-ca/store/free-games/on-the-house
  7. Gaming as a service is a depressing trend, for sure.
  8. http://graphics.wsj.com/gaza-before-after/ Before & After photos of Gaza. Interesting to see the effects in terms of structural damage, at least. A more ideal solution would be for them to die horribly. But as for keeping quiet - http://www.timesofisrael.com/knesset-member-retake-gaza-put-civilians-in-tent-camps/
  9. Interesting that the killing of a soldier today was labelled as terrorism. But another truce - what are the odds it doesn't last 24 hours?
  10. Heh, I wouldn't say that is an unkown event. Seems it worked out well for everyone, Israel wasn't affected much by it, and people were encouraged to look at alternatives. Hm, wonder what would have happened if the IDF lost the '72 war
  11. Guess that Unity party is re-activated since 1999.
  12. Neo-nazis everywhere.
  13. Will have to see how much they've helped the US in that region that much in the past. Certainly seem to be more uppity towards the US of late, but I suppose they know they can get away with murder with the US. Heh, was a bit hesitant to search that as I can foresee a lot of shill results more than anything.
  14. Wonder what the US gets out of this relationship with Israel, anyway. Well, other than votes.
  15. Finally saw The Raid 2. Nice that they tried to add in some story, fight scenes were well done as expected. Good enough.
  16. Embargo probably affects that somewhat. I suppose bunkers and shelters are prohibited as Hamas can use those as well as civilians. I guess the IDF is indeed a force of nature
  17. That truce lasted long. I do find it funny that the IDF soldier has been "kidnapped" rather then just captured.
  18. Well you said Certainly implies that not bombing is equivalent to the abandonment of their own people, as it's not binary case but one of degrees that was being discussed. And the question wasn't to me - although I've pretty much hinted at the desired reaction already here. But oh well. Well to your question : yes, but mainly as it avoids civilians getting killed which is just fuel for this cycle, rather than my suspected lust to see IDF troops in body bags or something. You are also aware war isn't fought in a vacuum - reason the US didn't carpet bomb Iraq in Gulf War 2.0, it won't fly well with the political reasons for the act. Likewise, Palestinian kids being shown on TV pulled from rubble crushed to death after a bomb or artillery strike doesn't go over well. Ground troops kill less civilians unintentionally than a 500 lb bomb or a 155mm shell, it's risky but well the IDF always boasts of their courage.
  19. See, Bruce, what I mean by blue oby ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Withdrawal_from_the_United_Nations - but at least came across something new today.
  20. Good sound bites at least, I especially like the "soft bigotry" one, referencing Bush Jr's old statement.
  21. Sounds like "art" to me.
