  1. Well, is always nice to change architectures. Today am alone on my team so am just riding it out until 1800.
  2. http://www.spacesector.com/blog/2014/07/star-ruler-2-hits-steam-early-access-beta-first-impressions/ Impressions of Star Ruler 2. Never did play much of the first one, but hey, can't have too many Space 4X games.
  3. http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2014/07/magic-helmet-for-f-35-ready-for-delivery/?comments=1 Fancy piece of kit, the "magic" helmet for the F-35.
  4. Outlook grim for orbiting Russian zero-G sex geckos
  5. Well, not that the other side is completely clean of that (burning Gaza and stoking hatred), IDF isn't a force of nature. Do wonder what the end point of this can be, or for that matter what it will be for this current round of violence.
  6. Amazing how "Why do we do ________ this way?" is a nigh impossible to answer question. Been poring through the company wiki. Though is academic at this point, just to waste time satisfy my curiosity.
  7. Who ? Eastern Ukrainians ? Also, apparently US confirmed that Russian artillery is firing into Ukraine. Though "can't say" what that was based on, obvious reasons for that. http://in.reuters.com/article/2014/07/24/ukraine-crisis-usa-artillery-idINL2N0PZ2AH20140724
  8. I like #10 in that list, about track pants being expensive due to chavs.
  9. Looks pretty good, or at least in line with what I expected. Money well spent then
  10. Eh, can see that happening everywhere, people being people - lucky most places have the crash site secured or in a desolate area I guess, but I guess we're to be outraged about these bad rebel devils. Hey, it could still be propaganda, no names given Also http://www.rferl.org/media/video/ukraine-rebel-commander-buk-missile/25468569.html?nocache=1 Interview with the seperatist leader
  11. Have to guess that there's more to their platform. Also, they have good campaign partners in the IDF for obvious reasons as well. I guess the take away is that the unarmed people in Gaza shouldn't whine.
  12. Ok must be confused. Thought the issue was that Russia supplied the missiles and is to blame. Separatists shooting it down seems extremely likely.
  13. Well the point was that wasn't the alternative, with regards to how they got a hold of the weapons, which may or may not be Russia. How the weapons were sourced is relevant in all this, after all, what with talk of covertly supplied weaponry and Russian responsibility for how they were used (amusing concept of responsibility if carried out fully, too).
  14. Is the West Bank under blockade ? I had thought that punishment was for Gaza as Hamas is strong there, versus Fatah in the West Bank who's not as hostile.
  15. Isn't the alternative that the launcher was stolen by the separatists ? Not that that is the case, but is more likely than some looney stuff.
  16. Could also have been blasted by ZU-23s
  17. Someone should make a movie about that. Kind of like Apocalypse Now meets Stomp the Yard.
  18. Two more Su-25s downed today. Ukrainian military needs to fly more SEAD missions.
  19. IDF should not have bothered with airstrikes at all and just rely on ground forces to get the work done. 500 lb bombs aimed well still take out large areas and kill bystanders. Interesting line of thought. Heh, reminds me of the jackal that said every Israeli is a target due to their mandatory military service (I guess the Orthodox hawks are safe in that scheme).
  20. http://www.timesofisrael.com/dermer-idf-deserves-nobel-peace-prize-for-unimaginable-restraint/
  21. Iluminati did it due to the AIDS researchers being on it.
