FInally gotten around to this after much procrastination. Is an enjoyable read, same style as Voices from Chernobyl where she just lets people tell their stories. Some of the woman have interesting and amusing accounts. So far I liked the story of the political commissar of a laundress battalion - part of an interesting section of things going on in support of the front line like laundry, cooks, etc.

Got gold in the RT3 1848 scenario at last. Got lucky with having good credit and low rates and just spammed bonds to open up Prussia, still not entirely sure how best to handle express freight but that is the money maker, did spoke and hubs sort of. That scenario being only silver on my list has been over my head for 18 years 😛

Continue to fail this scenario in Railroad Tycoon 3. Will win through it eventually, still trying to become more aggressive. But at least I own my entire company, so that's one challenge down. Is a fun experience to repeatedly fail at least. Also passing time in Overwatch, getting my daily hit of gamer rage with the seemingly endless supply of short tempered hick trash the game matches me with.

I used to forkbomb people in the labs in Uni, got caught after 4 years of doing it - blamed it on classmate using my PC but not sure the admin bought it. Was tempted to ask him why he didn't limit processes per account like the SPARC labs did but figured not good to piss him off further.
