I disagree it's hard to think of someone much worse than him, but sort of how you can see Putin as a reaction to that clown Yeltsin, people might want someone more extreme, hence the humour. Media here pushes the idea Navalny is the great alternative, although I believe even he thinks Crimea is Russian, no ? As for Venezuela, why would you say Maduro is better than Chavez ? Seems less capable or at least the same level of "bad".

Assuming that is ammunition, anyway. And off some Twitter accounts in this war, might not even be from now. Is always fun to see how unverified clips are taken, and then people conclude big things. Like the footage of the T-72 getting ambushed and hitting the tree, that indicated by itself a panicked rout. Or more funnily, the ferris wheel being immobile for a brief while but being announced as broken down.

People getting a bit carried away with the idea that Putin's downfall is soon. Will be amusing if the next guy turns out to be even worse.

Well, I suppose someone can go to a war crimes tribunal for attacking a Ukrainian BMP. But we'd done this in '91 and I recall the US doing similar in '03 (not too sure), likewise in Serbia and general consensus was power can be used for military purposes (and of course there's a cheeky dodge the same way everyone does with white phosphorous). Had wondered why this wasn't done sooner, but then again in west, it's harder.

Only if there's a fear of counterattack, if Russia's weak there as elsewhere that's not likely.
