  1. Added content, better graphics... maybe. But, still, I really want to try Fable with a Demo or something. The last time I bought a game from Lionhead it made me want to vomit... (besides the "usual" feelings like breaking the disk, throwing my mouse out of the window and stalking the creators with hate-mail ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha, I do that at Obsidian and they don't even know it's me! I keep harassing them about Duke Nukem Forever. Halo: Too over hyped and played out. Diablo 2: Too hack n' slash for me for a computer game. CoD: Play it weekly for 9 hours at a local LAN party. Starcraft: Never played it. If I play that genre, it'll be Warcraft II + EXP. I'm picky.
  2. Thief 3 sounds fun. I think I have it, too.
  3. That's quite annoying. Every game that's moddable will have the A-O rating. I mean, even Wolfenstein 3D had nude sprites in a mod. And in the US, we all know that naked people are much more corruptive than murder and other sorts of violence.
  4. I'm up for anything. I'd play HL or HL2, but I have one of those unyielding hatreds for the program known as STEAM.
  5. I'm in need of a decent PC game to play while I wait for my replacement Disc 4 of KotOR II so I can reinstall it and play it. Damn those reformats. Also, those DVD drives that when you place the disc in, you think "Hmm, good, the disc is in." Then when you close the drive the disc gets pinched between the tray and the bulk of the machinery above it and gouges through the plastic and the data sticker. Damn, do I hate those drives. So, any suggestions? I'm up for any type of game. But, if someone suggests World of Warcraft I'm going to consider it user harrasment and send you an official warning. ... I have a feeling I'm going to be sending a lot of PM warnings.
  6. Just out of complete confusion, Hades, if you're not going to go with Obsidian's games then why spend countless hours on the message boards? To see if you can be persuaded otherwise by what their future releases are?
  7. It depends on how many fans of Angry Kid Joe are still around today. Doesn't matter much to me either way though. I've been thinking about changing my usernamename to Jack Mehoff...what would you guys think about that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was Ugly Kid Joe, not Angry Kid Joe. What also contributed to it was the fact that all of a sudden my MSN accounts for my XBOX and all that were deleted. I used them, but then they were just gone. I contacted Microsoft about it and they didn't know what happened and access to "crazyjoe" accounts were locked for some reason. They couldn't delete them, reopen them. The accounts were completely empty. They checked it for hacks and what not, but there was nothing.
  8. I have tried e-mailing and calling LA and got no answer what so ever. Nobody over there is saying anything. As for OE; relationships between companies are often on paper. ;-)
  9. Yes, I had my name changed. It's simple, didn't really need to, but, it's an ego thing. I've been called Crazy Joe for over a decade. My highschool internet tech. teacher gave the name to me. Recently, due to a complication with a high up manager and our interaction, other management and employees now call me Angry Kid Joe. I think it's a bit more accurate and less common than Crazy Joe. That's all I willing to say on the matter. Only reason I post this, is because I'm getting posts in threads about it.
  10. Yeah, now back on topic. *cracks a whip*
  11. There's a difference between bashing and stating facts. I'm asking you to avoid bashing. Because if the users of this board start bashing, it leads to warnings/bans/closed threads, etc. Don't aruge this, just continue your discussion. I'd like to keep this thread open because it's quite obvious you guys, I don't know if this is the right word, fear what direction a company is headed. If you didn't care, you wouldn't be here. You guys have valid points and opinions. Keep expressing that, though, becareful how you word your posts. That's all I'm asking.
  12. Even though I'm not a fan of the game, I do like: Diablo II's - The Monastery.
  13. [side Note] Just an FYI for you boarderline RuleLawyers: One of Obsidian's rules that you guys agreed to upon registry was to not bash other companies. You really haven't done that...yet. Just making note of it so I don't have to close the thread. [/side Note]
  14. I had no idea there was a console command for that. Portraits in the ../Portraits directory can be used by a PC during character selection. But, I'm sure you're aware of that, so I'll await further explanation.
  15. Could take screenshots of the cursor and use a graphic editing program to make you're own out of it and save it as a cursor file.
  16. I know there was a script for what you're looking for in an outdated version of CEP. But it was used without the creater's permission (more than you think is used, quite oddly, without permission. The guy complained and it was taken out. I'll ask some of the scripters for the PW server I play on. Perhaps they'll know. I know it's on the server.
  17. Now that I think about it; I didn't realize that either. As for an option: Just BGTuTu that I know of.
  18. CEP - Community Expansion Pack? http://nwvault.ign.com/cep/
  19. No. Just that "Crazy Joe" is actually quite common. The other day my coworkers started calling me "Angry Kid Joe." I"m using that now cause...I like it better. Back to the BGDA discussion?
  20. I was using them as contrasting examples of debates I witnessed. Was not my logic, rather a comparison.
  21. Well, if you're not acting out the role by selecting choices with your given options, Then it's just an extremely linear game with few or no choices (or you have it on pause). I wouldn't classify that as an RPG. Plus, the "partially determined by chance" could, and by my defenition, will be classified as the computer computing your chance to hit and all that jazz. So in essence, the computer is rolling the dice in the background for you. It's calculating numbers. Just like you would in a P&P RPG. Games like BG DA aren't true RPGs, if they're RPGs at all, because you're not given options. You're not playing the role of a character. You're pulling the character through a predetermined route that will get you to the same end. That's a stat based action game.
  22. How so? That defenition can apply to many(x3) cRPGs I've played. Besides. RPG can also stand for Rocket Propelled Grenades. But we already decided, for the purposes of communication in this thread, that it stands for Role Playing Game.
  23. I knew that site was useful for something.
  24. I like AoE II & Conquerer's better. But, we'll see on the full release.
