  1. Agreed on both counts. Lovecraft country was so good, but Egypt wore me down at the end so much I didn't even get to Uberwald.
  2. You get to be sorry cop if you apologize a lot. So it seems that your US cop has been replaced with Canadian cop.
  3. Replace Heineken with Stella Artois when in Belgium. Also, "Avoid tourist traps and find where locals drink/eat" is generally great advice. Majestic's bit too harsh on German beers IMO, I had some nice ones and Franziskaner is legit great. Lambics >>> lagers and I so miss gueuze.
  4. And here I am lamenting the fact that no Star Wars game would allow me to play as a Hutt.
  5. I imagine this is how my Hell will look like -- eternity of doing DS boss fights. Sometimes devils would grant me a reprieve with a pivot table or two in MS Excel on dependency between climate and agriculture in Faroe Islands, just so that going back to DS was more painful.
  6. You say it as if it is a bad thing. Anyway. I played LOTRO a little years ago and starter areas were all fun, but as soon as you leave them it's ten bear arses quests all the way down. SWTOR, my choice of lowbrow gaming, is much better about that.
  7. That's a good idea. Also, if you replace clear spirit with brandy, lemon peels with cherries and sugar with, well, a bit less sugar, you can get a different yet delicious kind of adult lemonade. Well, cherryade.
  8. Tried it once. It tasted of lemon so unnatural that even dishwashing liquid manufacturers wouldn't add it to their stuff on account of being too artificial. Vile, vile concoction.
  9. While the thread denizens wait with baited breath for AL's examples, I remembered v. similar kerfuffle re: Dragon Age 2. In that game if you went with Doormat personality type, you could eventually corner oneself into the situation where you had either accept playersexual NPC's advances or tell him to f*ck off in quite rude manner. So those completely secure in their sexuality types had a meltdown A) tearing that NPC a new one for daring to hit on them first, B) complaining that they had to be, like, so rude to said NPC to let him down. Good times.
  10. Ooooh, and then you could go on tours with Nanowar of Steel! P.S.: video very tangentially related.
  11. Me, I like how game designers do not bother with overthinking sexuality as they obviously are aware that for machines to successfully simulate something as nuanced and complex as human mating rituals they need to pass the Turing test first, and when they do that, they probably will be busy doing more important things, like taking over the world.
  12. I think it's very appropriate to feed the troll with lots and lots of Rocks.
  13. Bah, those girlies are way overdoing that "sweet and innocent" voice thing. Not sexy at all.
  14. Lets keep the meme alive! Or better yet, undead.
  15. So RPS posted this RPG muzik quiz: Got 10. Well 10 and a half because I guessed both Elder Scrolls scores but flipped the games. Not bad since I only played 14 out of that list
  16. Jesus Quintana, look at that unholy multitude of phone screens in audience! Seems like I stopped going to shows right on time.
  17. This is a beautiful track! Which I never heard in my game, why did I never hear it in my game? All my Surviving Mars music was kinda boring. You know what's not boring? This game's OST: I wouldn't want to play the game, but methinks I'm buying this OST.
  18. But their CHA stat is crippled, and shamans cast from CHA. Or does it change in Dragonfall and HK? Also Why not? Summons are great (and I can raise monstrosities from, say, hospital refuse pile!!), although I have no idea what to do with barriers. Like, are they for my guys to hide behind or to build traps for enemies?
  19. I'm done with Divinities again and picked up Shadowruns to cleanse the palate as people keep telling they're so good. Also people keep telling to skip "Returns" but I'm not doing that because people also also keep telling it's real short. So far so good, I love the writing in "Returns"; I wonder if that's because it's legit good or it's my murder mystery bias + after "Divinities" even third grader's "How I spent my summer holidays" essay might read like high lit. Gameplay wise, it's...well...very streamlined. And linear. Get your story bits, visit the hub to resupply and hire dudes, hit the next mission. Kind of like hybrid between a RPG and a strategy game. I'm also unfamiliar with Shadowrun system so I'm playing it like a fantasy game -- two summoners, a mage and a big beefy dude who hits hard. Took a decker to one mission, had no idea what to do with him. And looking up stuff on the 'net mostly results in spoilers for the next two games because "Returns" seems to be the unpopular red-headed stepchild of the series. Oh well, at least now I know that the class I picked -- the shaman -- is going to be a bit OP in the next game, so that's that.
  20. I'm in favour of both modes -- it's like two games for the price of one! Buuuut, if I really had to choose, I'd go with RTwP, because it spares you from wasting time on trash encounters and I find that preferable to easier in TB boss fights.
  21. From what I remember Sis can wreck your frell up something significant depending on your level so her voice pack might be something of an acquired taste. Kind of like Brayko voice pack. Heck is so, soooo overrated.
  22. I'm playing Deadfire again or more likely never stopped and this time I managed to piss off Aloth into We Need To Talk, Round 1 even before leaving Port Maje. This is my new record.
  23. Huh. Never really paid much attention to Piano Man's lyrics, turns out it's awsome?
