  1. Yup, it sure sucks. I played it through a couple of times, and it just sucked more with each iteration. Has anyone played Killzone 3 or Crysis 2 yet?
  2. I'm just glad I'm not the only person who gets drunk and writes letters that never get sent. My grammar is bad when I am sober so, ya know, me drinking never helps...
  3. I let the girl I love go, well more placed my foot on her butt and pushed her out of the door, because it was the right thing to do, she deserved a chance at a life, career, to be near her family etc... It was just the right thing to do, even if such a sacrifice has left me with a massive empty hole, and an inability to feel a full range of emotions, it doesn't matter, it was the correct thing to do. I cut myself off from her completely, not until after I'd acted like a massive idiot mind. Nothing ever changed for me, I feel exactly the same today, as I did when I first met her, it wouldn't have been fair to stay in touch. Even now, I wouldn't ever bother her, not even to say hello. As bizzare as it may sound, I get by knowing that my absence is the best thing for her. She can be happy without me... Do I think I made a bad choice? No. I could have handled it better, sure, but its all for the best, I'd never have been good enough for her, I was way way out of my league. I'm also an absolutely awful person to be in a relationship with.
  4. LMFAO!!! Oh you should send the letter, I can't even bring myself to write mine, its so damn futile.
  5. This rather presumes the Judaeo Christian notion that paradise is no work. Hence the ejection from Eden to a world of toil. But I like working. I happen to think it's essential to mental and physical health! They don't advocate that you shouldn't work - society still needs to keep running, which requires participation, but the goal is rather to advance humanity as a whole as well as you, instead of a boss and a pay check. Seems rather naive, the monetary system works because of the reward(money). It's classical conditioning at it's best, so how are they going to keep workers motivated? The problem with idealists is that they forget the reality of living and held everything to an impossible standard, I doubt that the majority of the population will work for dreams and hopes. I would program for free... Because I enjoy programming. I'm pretty sure Artists enjoy making are art, and musicians music. I don't believe the monetary system works, but I do believe it provides incentives which results in one trading time, for money, doing some menial unfun, usually crap task. Some people wouldn't do anything productive, but those people don't do anything productive now, they just drain the system. Regardless anyways, You've clearly not watched it, so can you really comment? Nothing irks me so much as opinions based on ignorance.
  6. Sorry dude, but in my case, it wasn't like that. I blame myself for who I was, I wish I was me now - then. In which case, she wouldn't have got away. But for the most part I like your sentiment. Who you are now is the sum of all of who you were in the past. You being who you are now is a result of who you were back then with her. That would seems sensible, but it was genuinely a time thing... It takes time to go through an education system, it takes time to start a career. Its complicated, I haven't changed as a person, I've just travelled the path I was on anyway. To be fair to you though, its not like I have really given enough information to actually allow you to form a fair opinion.
  7. That's sad, it shows how on edge you must be, to follow your impulses because of intoxication, sounds like it sucks to me. My brother is also very similar.
  8. Thats not the one that got away, that is proof you're a jerk.
  9. I'm starting work on it right now lolz
  10. Are you one of those people that define an RPG by number based progression, because I don't think thats a requirement for an RPG, personally. ME 2 is an RPG, with shooting mechanics for combat. That's just my opinion. And before you say anything Volo, STFU.
  11. Sorry dude, but in my case, it wasn't like that. I blame myself for who I was, I wish I was me now - then. In which case, she wouldn't have got away. But for the most part I like your sentiment.
  12. Volo, just can't. I imagine most things in life are hard for Volo.
  13. It's an oldie, but I remember enjoying playing it quite alot way back, I still have a copy somewhere... And you're right there are interesting elements to the magic system. I would have prefered a mana stamina based system where I learnt spells though... Yes Bethesda could learn from this, infact any FPS magic system could.
  14. The kindle is an excellent piece of kit, if like me you really do read alot, I'm pretty much out of shelf space, between the kindle apps on PC/Phones etc... and the kindle itself, well I'm mighty happily impressed with the one I picked up for my g/f. I'm planning on getting one myself.
  15. I see it partially as entertainment. The stuff about the monetary system is spot on, we're totally f***ed because of it, and while folk speak of greed, why would someone be greedy in a world where they could have everything they need. Basically, I agree, but I find it Utopic, its got interesting idea's, but I don't see us, as in humans, living in such a world. We'll destroy ourselves first, this is exactly what I expect to happen, I don't have alot of faith in humanity, I'd give the venus project etc... Credit for trying, I don't much mind if millions die in the process of attempting to change the world, I respect the fact that people will attempt change, afterall... This place is hell, and money does cause more problems than it solves.
  16. Why would that be depressing, I figured it'd be expected!
  17. Took me ages to spot the fail. W T F !!!!!!! Oh the joys, eh?
  18. and I take it, Ironman doesn't let you load a game mid-combat, either? because in this last update I mention two gamestopping bugs which would screw me big time if it wasn't for earlier saves. also, the quicksave feature is bugged. it's better not to use it ever. oh I forgot to mention, Paida is also bugged. if you don't have a free spot in your party when you initiate the dialogue with her, she will "join" your party but will not leave the temple because she's not in the party technically. if you try to talk to her again and ask her to wait, she'll just leave forever rendering the quest unfinishable. as you can see, under such circumstances Ironman can really drive one mad. Quicksave? SAVE! HA! You save by quitting out. You can only load when you boot up, no such thing as "reloading". I really do wish I hadn't actually gone Ironman proper when playing as I'd still be playing now. Also because of bugs I feel you made a senisble move.
  19. Who played the bulletstorm demo? I wasn't impressed, looked nice enough, but for the most part... Caca!
  20. doesn't it let you load a state from the last time you were in a town? I thought Ironman was something akin to the tough cookie trait in FOT Just to confirm Ironman is game over when everyone dies, hence why when I took the wrong doorway and everything went to poo, I kinda struggled to summon the will to continue yon thread.
  21. LMFAO, I lost about 6 hours of progress... Ironman does delete the save game. This is the point of Ironman IMHO.
  22. When you say years, it's well over a decade for some of us...
