Yep, this game has certainly met my expectations of what a great game should be like. The amount of choice you get reminds me so much of New Vegas. I hope Obsidian is encouraged by the positive reviews and continues to make awesome games.
It's very good imo. A lot of these stories, quests, and characters are quite complex. I've had to re-evaluate myself multiple times through out this play through.
So yes, the writing is good.
I can confirm updating my GPU drivers did help out somewhat. It's not perfect or anything, but at least the game play is bearable.
Also, I lowered the quality settings to High and then capped the fps at 60.
Are the companion commands not working well?
I don't use them but I've heard they work pretty well.
My character is a super soldier, so really I only use companions as bullet sponges (and companionship).
Oh yeah, some of these characters are really complex. Sometimes I have in mind exactly how I'm going to complete a quest, and then all of a sudden I find out more about a character, which makes me re-evaluate everything.
I played a ton of Fallout: New Vegas back in the day. And I still play it a little bit every now and then. But right now I'm mostly preoccupied with a game called Dead by Daylight. Of course, that will change when TOW releases lol.
