  1. Well, it's a blog. Is it unreadable because it disagrees with everything you believe?
  2. Congrats, a decent article from a decent site. But by a very conservative commentator, oh no! The difference between the Soviet mentality, and the American one is that ultimately, "IN Soviet Russia!" the ideal was that you're making something awesome to make the entire nation benefit. In America, you make something awesome to shove extra money in your pocket. Admittedly I haven't done much research on the mentalities of the soviet population at the time, but it seems like it would have been an easy thing to convince the average population that they are just pieces of the machine working towards a better future, even if they sacrifice the self for it. Yes, you shove extra money in your pocket and benefit the whole country, because no one will buy your stuff if they don't want it. And the Soviet mentality was can be summarized by an old joke "We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us" of course that was the mentality after Stalin's terror ended, no one would dare to tell a joke back then, people were shot for less.
  3. And they never could land on the moon, because they were technologically backwards. Being first in space isn't worth living in an oppressive, dreary and hopeless society. Nothing in that article contradicts what I said. While admiring murderous totalitarian regimes, which makes him both an idiot and a hypocrite. Edit: Here's another good one : http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/01/donald-trump-is-shocking-vulgar-and-right-213572 “It’s true you have better hair than I do,” Trump said matter-of-factly. “But I get more **** than you do.”

  5. Russian economy was the fastest growing in Europe before the revolution. They really didn't accomplish anything the other European countries didn't accomplish except starve their own people repeatedly. The standard of living was always way behind the West, and any so called technological or scientific accomplishments came about because huge resources were dedicated to that instead of improving people's lives, very much like North Korea developing nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles while their people are starving. And I'm pretty sure you'd get better healthcare in any public clinic in the US than in Cuba, certainly they don't have any modern drugs or equipment.
  6. Isn't it too late for Biden to get on the ballot if Hilzilla is forced to withdraw? I thought the deadlines passed last fall.
  7. Yes, and in the case of the Soviet Union and China also brought around an industrialization that benefited millions while ushering in scientific progress that outpaced the US for a time and Cuba has a medical system that outperforms the US(unless you happen to be well-off) to this day. Butclearly old comrade Bernie was excited at the thought of the gulags and not any of that. Oh, OK, I guess mass murder is OK so long as it brings industrialization. (Also many famines, also Soviet industrialization was for military purposes and way behind US, and Chinese under Mao was almost non-existent). Are you sure you're not LoF? Edit: No wonder Sanders wants Socialism, he can't do anything except run for office: http://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/bernie-sanders-the-bum-who-wants-your-money/ Edit 2: Btw, on the subject of drugs, the only reason that wasn't a problem in communist countries was because they were police states, with lots of surveillance. As an alternative, in the Soviet Union people drunk themselves to death.
  8. He didn't seem to be concerned about surveillance when he expressed admiration for brutal totalitarian regimes like the Soviet Union, China and Cuba. And yet he has consistently voted against surveillance of American Citizens throughout his legislative career. Funny, it's almost like one can admire specific qualities or actions without wanting to emulate something wholesale. That's like saying you can admire hitler without wanting to emulate death camps. The regimes he expressed admiration for (in general, not their specific actions) were responsible for deaths of tens of millions of innocent people. Edit: Actually this is incredible. This is what I posted here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/82691-democrat-presidential-debate/page-11 “Contrast what the young people in China and Cuba are doing for themselves and for their country as compared to the young people in America,” he said. “It’s quite obvious why kids are going to turn to drugs to get the hell out of a disgusting system or sit in front of a TV set for 60 hours a week.” https://newrepublic.com/article/122309/bernie-sanders-archive-bustling-mysterious-young-men So Chinese and Cuban systems are wonderful, and ours is "disgusting". He said that in 1976, but Mao, the greatest mass murderer in history only died in 1976!
  9. He didn't seem to be concerned about surveillance when he expressed admiration for brutal totalitarian regimes like the Soviet Union, China and Cuba.
  10. Yes, I'd say it's bad if you're desensitized to murder. But remember, in SA the natives kill the migrants, in US the migrants kill the natives. Edit: So SA murder rate is 10 times the US one, and some claim it's actually underreported. Also a lot of US murders are gang violence between criminals.
  11. Volo there are 250 million white people in the USA ....we are just talking about one of them being killed. Stop trying to scare WOD and the other USA members. The Muslim extremist won't kill all the white people in the USA !!! They'll just kill some of us. Bruce, once in a while you say something truly idiotic. This kind of thing happens every day. I personally knew someone randomly murdered by an illegal alien who had previously been deported many times. May be in SA you don't care when someone is murdered, but in the USA we still do. In other news, nothing to see here, move along: http://nypost.com/2016/01/24/hillarys-team-copied-intel-off-top-secret-server-to-email/ Edit: Funny how a crazy old Socialist becoming a nominee of a major political party doesn't seem to worry you.
  12. No need to worry about illegal alien criminals, the government is here to protect us: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/01/22/ice-investigated-for-failing-to-deport-illegal-before-he-killed-woman/
  13. Bill Gates is a great humanitarian and one of my favorite people, I use to work for Microsoft and I respect him immensely I support most of what he says I agree, we should definitely follow Germany's example: http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/01/22/locals-fled-pool-after-migrants-masturbated-into-jacuzzi-defecated-into-kids-pool-molested-bathers/
  14. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/01/22/the-daily-202-bernie-sanders-has-a-eugene-v-debs-problem/?wpmm=1&wpisrc=nl_daily202 Yes, definitely not a socialist.
  15. The article is spot on, all over the West people have finally realized the elites have betrayed them. The conservative movement is now really corporatists, only worrying about the well being of fat cat corporations. Edit: Back when Buchanan ran, the issues were really different. We saw liberals as the big problem, after the disaster that was Jimmy Carter. Reagan got things going overnight, so conservatism was riding high. We didn't see the seeds of destruction that were already there, like the 1986 amnesty (even though Buchanan did). Also Buchanan was kind of scary, always defending old nazis and admiring hitler's foreign policy. Besides the closest equivalent to Trump back then was Ross Perot, who actually did quite well. I think Buchanan actually run later as the candidate of Perot's Reform party, and Trump wanted to run in 2000 in the same party, but there was some kind of issue with Buchanan. So this has been brewing for a while.
  16. It doesn't need to be as heavily patrolled as empty space they patrol now. Either we follow laws or we don't, either we have sovereignty over our borders or we don't. Btw, DHS just reported that in 2015 half a million aliens overstayed their visas, and the government isn't doing a damn thing about it. American citizenship means nothing now, it's a free-for-all.
  17. Just finished the game. It's quite fun, and became strangely addictive half way through.
  18. Well it's not like the wall would mean no more trade between us and Mexico. It doesn't seem odd to spend billions of dollars building a fence between us and someone we do a tremendous amount of business with? How much money do we think we will save by building this 2,000 mile long barrier? Of course, Trump also wants Mexico to foot the bill, which sounds insane. I just don't see how anyone can justify this in economic terms. http://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/09/this-is-what-trumps-border-wall-could-cost-us.html I know it's not breitbart, so WoD won't trust it. One wonders how we ever build a road in this country, if one fence is supposed to be more than the entire national highway budget. Anyway, Trump's plan isn't to build a fence everywhere, it's basically the secure fence for accessible areas authorized in 2006 and never built. The things you keep saying about trade and fence are ridiculous. A fence would simply mean everyone has to use the legal crossing points they're supposed to use now.
  19. So what, we've lost millions of jobs while building up enemies like China. He said he'd abide by the agreement, of course it depends on Iran's compliance. Even Obola finally saw the wisdom of that strategy, only ISIS controlled oil fields would be bombed. It's a security issue, our government obviously has no idea of who's getting into the country. The wall is absolutely necessary if we're going to have a country left. He won't actually be able to deport most illegals but at least he can start enforcing the law.
  20. There's a debate whether natural born citizen just means citizen by birth or whether the original constitutional meaning was from English common law, which supposedly meant you were born in the country with some exceptions: http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2016-01-13.html Hmmmm.... wouldn't Bernie be more likely to be the Sith Lord? He's the one whose for authoritarian government that takes everything away from everyone. Or... maybe I'M the sith lord? Maybe from my point of view the Jedi are evil. Jedi are obviously commies. There's even a story about the rebel alliance being based on Viet Cong. Can I ask you a question, aren't you concerned about the numerous concerning comments Trump has made about USA foreign policy and he would do things? You should be more specific and state a few examples.
  21. The knives are out between Cruz and Trump. Two men enter, one man leaves.
  22. I don't blame the immigrants, they're only acting in their own self-interest, the way normal non-socialist people are expected to behave. I blame our own lawless government. As far as helping Mexico, I'm pretty sure we helped them more than any other country, but we can't get rid of their crime and corruption for them, which is what mainly holds them back. Also Mexicans aren't the only illegal immigrants, 40% are visa overstays, and from a lot of different countries, the biggest block in the future is expected to be the Chinese. I've said it before, an executive order can be completely legitimate exercise of the President's constitutional power, or it can be a completely illegal and unconstitutional usurpation of Congressional power, depending what that order is. Obviously people are upset about the latter, which Obola has been doing shamelessly.
  23. Btw, the Democrat party has changed too :
  24. Actually I'd say the hints are pretty big that he will be an isolationist, which puts him in a very similar camp as Trump. I don't think Trump is an isolationist, he just doesn't believe war is the first solution to everything. I'd say Trump has a very good understanding of foreign policy, while Sanders has none. Your video says 1990, but it's actually 1980. And how has Republican party changed? 36 years and 36 million illegal aliens later Jebbito is still spewing exact same garbage as his daddy. What's changed is that Republicans would have almost no chance of winning the presidency now except for the truly amazing roster of miscreants on the Democrat side. And yes, Reagan did implement amnesty, and we were promised that in return the illegal immigration issue would be solved, lol. Once bitten, twice shy.
  25. I'm kind of worried about Sanders leading Hilzilla. Not because of Socialism, because that's unlikely to pass Congress anyway, but because he seems to have no interest in foreign policy at all.
